Well I mean the game doesnt really classify as an rpg based on how progression works in MH, but it does look open world, or at least more open THAN World. I used to hear people say World was open world, but while it had open world elements, the maps were still primarily arenas in which you fought the mosters, but Wilds seems to be taking it more in an open direction. Things like not starting the quest timer until you've properly engaged with the monster give off the idea that you may be able to take up multiple quests at the hub and then set out to complete them in the world. I'm very curious and super excited to see this game in its full glory.
I guess Dung pods are gonna be your best friend in this game due to the fact that there's not much difference in strength on an alpha monster and it's pack... Edit:i wonder if there's a stat feature where each of the weapons affect each others playstle (For an example if you equip a bow and insect glaive maybe the double stamina from insect glaive stays while in bow mode to be more able to shoot more arrows and less use of dash juices or maybe Dual blade with sword and shield that gives you access to demon mode while using sword and shield.)
Palico voice is INSUFFERABLE I think I read that you can change it to Palico speech, so yes please. And the entire time I'm looking at the HUD, curious what I can get rid of. 😅 End of the day though, you bet I'm gonna be playing the heck out of Wilds!
Labeling this as "Open World" is simply incorrect after the gamescom demonstrations that Capcom has been doing. They themselves have said it is not open world, it's simply slightly bigger locales that you travel to, towns being seamlessly connected does not suddenly make the map as big as San Andreas.
That's good thing, giant connected map is a better way than fully open world with all performance issues and make the locale too big to hunt in or too boring with less density of lives and stuffs
"players" nowadays really thinks open world is synonym of BIG ASS MAP. For MH purposes and standards this is a open world, nobody needs or wants a map big as San Andreas because that would be boring AF.
I probably have 3000+ hours in this franchise at this point, starting from the first episode on the PSP, I really wish we could get some type of couch co-op this time, even like in TRI would be enough

Also this gas to be the only fameplay I have ever seen where someone actually uses the GS block as it's intended, which made me realize that they indirectly greatly buffed blocking with GS to to power clash being a thing now.
There's a few things that always bugged me with this game and that's how they have no clue how animals would react in such situations. First of all why would u roar randomly? A ''alpha'' (which isn't even a thing in canines) would not just walk around and let u come near it. In fact non of these wild dogs would do that. All of them would react in a way to shoo you off. The anatomy of these creature is also so off ballance. They move like their heads are too heavy for them and need some sort of momentum yet their neck muscles look perfectly capable to handle themselves. There is way to dramatic ragdoll effects going on. These monsters look clearly inspired by Tibetan Mastiffs and yet they look like them but anatomically don't move like them. Capcom really needs to work on creating better animations of these creatures. The same goes for dragons they move way to Ragdoll-ish and not how it would be with proper weight and muscle balance.
Fireflies highlighting poop on the ground, NPC non stop babbling in the background, terrible field of view, ragdolling feels like an eternity.. This is definitely a MH world sequel
Would be really nice if they had the ground effected by the player or monster leaving 1 minute marks around their character to minimize lagg and give a more realistic feel wherever the player goes

I can see MH world again, my favorite MH this feels like mh world 2
I guess Dung pods are gonna be your best friend in this game due to the fact that there's not much difference in strength on an alpha monster and it's pack...
Finally some greatsword play. I can't find anything in gamescon
Palico voice is INSUFFERABLE
I think I read that you can change it to Palico speech, so yes please.
And the entire time I'm looking at the HUD, curious what I can get rid of. 😅
End of the day though, you bet I'm gonna be playing the heck out of Wilds!
So perfect guard has no chip damage and barely costs stamina? Nice
We’ve come along way since healing meant you can’t move, now we’re riding mounts and sharpening our weapons, literally game changer.
Man forgot the food cooking part at the end of the trailer💀
Also I predict there might be a recolor/cloth pack for your raptor to make it similar to our beloved Tobi. It even has same tail.
@@akasunaS24 This.
I probably have 3000+ hours in this franchise at this point, starting from the first episode on the PSP, I really wish we could get some type of couch co-op this time, even like in TRI would be enough
I hope they let us enable a “blood” setting so cuts and stuff are red
it won't
Blood is a toggle confirmed.
The balahara transcending start at 13:11 and end in 13:23
I really wish capcom would make a gun version of monster hunter. Lost planet universe but have all the depth of the RPG system with the carving and upgrading weapons and armor.
LP series has a special place in my heart especially LP2😢
@@jamesdiaz5975 Yeah LP2 was the best
But... why don't just play guns in Monster Hunter
@@BadEnd98Because LP and MH despite having similarities fundamentally are universally different too, LP focuses heavily on gun and mech action while MH focuses on melee and ranged giant slaying, plus the arsenal of certain guns functions very differently from MH
This is a really great idea
Palicoes talking reminds me dragons Dogma pawns
THE CAT TALKS?!
THERE BETTER BE AN OPTION TO CHANGE IT FROM TALKING TO MEOWNESE
Lmao Meownese! You are in luck though there is a meownese option.
There is.
@@ragnarokex2303 Phew. Why did they think that was a good option to begin with? Making them actually speak
@@saf5896they used to have lots of dialogue in prior games for your own palico, specifically 4 where the palico was their own character, it’s just they communicated all that as meows since there was no spoken dialogue at all
@@saf5896 Because they always actually spoke. What did you think hunters just understood meows? Why do you think they speak in the legends of the guild movie. They just never voice acted them till now
That very awesome! But why isn't the palico mewoing or saying things like "meownster", "purr-sue"?
Bro is strolling around with a gs unsheathed. Who gave this man the controller?
That's actually some pretty good GS gameplay all things considered. I mean just getting used to new controls would take alot if time, so probs for that.
Also this gas to be the only fameplay I have ever seen where someone actually uses the GS block as it's intended, which made me realize that they indirectly greatly buffed blocking with GS to to power clash being a thing now.
To be honest, I kind of don't like how the mount can auto walk you to the monste.
I think it takes some adventurerism out of it...
Same system that’s in World
So dont use it
@@fAKSDFKamsdf yeah ik, but if you can make it yourself easier then it's hard not to use it
From what I saw you can switch it between auto and manual, like the palamutes
I don't like how i can buy beef from the supermarket instead of hunting it.
I think it takes some adventurerism out of it...
11:11 : are you with me or against me!!
DAM this this absolutely fire 🔥 it’s a lot like world more than rise
I think it would be fun to have mutiple voiced options. ranging from meows to speaking a language.
Talking palico really surprise me that I don’t mind
My god insect-like wyvern?? Hope they brought our Gold mantis back❤
demo where when ?
IIRC the last few demos released like 3-6 months before the games release (vague because i dont remember 100%)
Love the artstyle similar to world but even better
i'm glad they brought back the talking palico's from STORIES.
I'm assuming we'll learn more about Alessa and Rosso soon
Now palico can use their voice, niceee
i need the wirebugs feature to be here as well ;(
It looks so good. Is this the pc or console version?
I guess its console, pc would come follow
ps5
@@Le_Klaigg nice. I was a little concerned about performance after dragons dogma 2
Does anyone know when the Demo comes out?
@@aelucard_ same here i need answers if the demo is out yet on ps5?
I won't jump on the hype train until I see the palico canteen food cutscenes
Palico's can talk now?! Awesome 💘💖👍
15:08 beautiful just beautiful it reminds me of rajang and devil Joe
When we getting the demo
We don't.
Palico sounds so cute and innocent 😭
Fireflies highlighting poop on the ground, NPC non stop babbling in the background, terrible field of view, ragdolling feels like an eternity..
This is definitely a MH world sequel
I hope there's a performance mode on PS5. It will actually be a dealbreaker for me if there isn't one.
Would be really nice if they had the ground effected by the player or monster leaving 1 minute marks around their character to minimize lagg and give a more realistic feel wherever the player goes
ew why my palico talking
You can change it in options....
You'll NEVER catch me playing ANYTHING at 30FPS in 2025.
Who is playing because they’re kinda bad at monster hunter 😂
We all started somewhere. No need to harp on their skill.
@@thomascoate6684fr tho
Hope we actually get a public demo, wanna test out the SnS gameplay myself.
Playing with good skill player is quick boring but with bad player is so much fun 😂
