Great recipe and overall pretty straightforward. Cake has that moist but non risen texture which isn't my personal favourite but my friends enjoyed (I prefer a lighter sponge). Ganache wasn't too sweet and complemented it well. I didn't get that dramatic of a hurricane look but I probably half assed it thinking I was ruining it, so I'd do it with confidence next time. Not a noticeable coffee flavour but that always happens when using coffee in chocolate recipes

Made this the other day! Tastes amazing and cake is really fluffy. Just so you know though, the ganache hardens in the fridge (if you don't want that) And the chocolate ganache overpowers the coffee flavor , so if you really want a coffeeflavor I would maybe use a coffee cream or just whipped cream or mix some coffee in your ganache Hurricane effect didn't really work but I did get a pretty pattern
I just did it, the cake is absolutely great. But I think next time I'd do it with some strawberries jam and cream in the middle. The ganash is a bit too strong for the very gentle taste of the cake. But it was great and very easy to make. Thanks. (we kind of ate more than half of it for brunch, just the two of us)

it seems like she added ganache right away ^^ in this case you'd want the ganache to be completely cooled down otherwise it might melt too much with the remaining heat of the cake

With the imperfect sections of the cake you cut off, you can crush them up, mix them in custard and add fruit. Delicious!!
