Thank you for a great tutorial. I liked the third color change you chose. It was clean and looked really pretty.

So nice for summer. 😀 Thanks!
You helped me so much! Thank you!
As you started working the colors I also just thought of Bethany's designs using the split SC (and even the snowflake hat). 💖 I love the comparisons of the color changes! 🖒🏽🖒🏽
I liked the comparison too. That was totally unplanned but I am glad I did it. It even taught me something.
Tried it as a draw string bag. Thank you.
This is great- I have passed over some really neat patterns because I wasn't sure how to do this! Thank you so much!

How i wish we have red heart yarn here in the Philippines
What if you wanted more of a base to the bag before going up the sides?
Hi Marley, I love your videos! They are the best ones for a beginner like me. Question regarding the straps - why do you do them in rounds? Is it to make them stronger? Is there another alternative to make straps vs this type? Thanks!!
You could totally make them flat should you choose. The designer just made them in the round ...but I think it was for aesthetic.
Thanks Marly! I’ve attempted to start my rounds about 10 times now and am having a lot of difficulty with the return set of sc into the foundation chain. I’m assuming that bc those aren’t correct that I can’t find the ‘v’ to do the split stitch in the new row after that. Do you have any suggestions or videos that go through this in more detail/slower? Thank you for your response and help!!
Can I uerd cotton wool
Do you think a self stripping yarn work well to make this bag?
I think it would be nice to see. I can't imaging why it wouldn't look nice ;-) Then, you wouldn't have to change colors!
Hi Marley, I have a question. Can you do this stitch in the round to make a hat, or do you have to make the hat like your doing here and then sew it together into a hat? I already made the small purse for a child and I want to make the matching hat. Thank you
You can absolutely use this for a hat.
what is the brand of your hook?
I would like to work this in a multicolored yarn. Anyone do it that way?
Can you go through the back loop after your starting chain or must you go through the front?
Do you mean on the actual tote? You can go through any loop you want but to get the same look as the tote designed you will need to go through both loops. If I am missing your question please let me know ;-)
No ma'am! Thanks so much :)
Thanks for your videos!! I really love them and you make it so easy to follow you!
Good question! I’ve been working the back loops of my starting chain lately. I like the finished look better. Thanks for asking!
Did u change direction?
No, it is done in a spiral.
