No, it really isn't. It's more just about Moominvalley in general, it just shows a lot of Moomin and Snufkin because they're great characters (although I prefer Little My)

Quick little lyrical analysis because this song is just so pretty and written so well:
*(Moomin:*

Moomin is telling snufkin to bring something back for him from his travels
*(On the coast of my fantasy*
*There's a hope for a change*
*Though the thing that are still to be*
*Always seems so strange)*
This is commenting on the fact that they feel they want to change the nature of their relationship but don't know how, or really even what their feelings mean. I think this ties in with episode 4, Moominsummer madness, and moomin's bark boat. during the scene at the beginning, moomin tells the boat to spin clockwise, because if it does that's a sign that everything will stay the same as it is, nothing changed. he says this because he wants his summer with snufkin to last forever. However the boat starts spinning anti clockwise, meaning something will change. the episode makes it seem like the thing that changes is the fact that the valley gets flooded, but at the end when snufkin shows moomin the bark boat again, it's still spinning anti clockwise. moomin dismisses it as "just the wind" but snufkin seems to think it is a sign, so much that he takes it and even keeps it into the next episode, holding it while he's watching moomin rehearse moominpappa's play. (which is rather out of character for him I think, since he's a pretty straightforward person who doesn't believe in superstitions or stories, so I think the fact that he thinks it's a sign really shows that he feels there's something there but isn't sure what it is) I think the thing that's going to change, or is changing, is moomin and snufkin's relationship. moomin thinks that everything staying the same is what he wants, because he doesn't know what he feels, but he knows he wants snufkin to stay with him forever. but the boat hopefully is a sign that they are moving towards figuring out how they feel (and I believe the team behind the show has actually stated that the two will figure out what they mean to each other throughout the course of the show) and the nature of their relationship will change in some way towards the better.

fairly straightforward, this is snufkin on his way back to moominvalley, with those roses that moomin asked him to bring, apparently. The roses are probably the stories that snufkin tells moomin of his travels, which moomin loves so much.

this seems to go along with the lyric from snufkin's part: "Looking for stars in the storm" meaning that moomin is literally being snufkin's guiding light, his home. he's shining his light and pushing the storm away so snufkin can come home to him, and be where he needs to be "at the break of dawn." obviously this is shown in the second episode, spring tune, when snufkin has that nightmare of walking through the woods. when he's finally able to see moominhouse in the distance, he sighs, relieved, and runs toward it, it's lit windows a beacon in the night. Moomin is always waiting for snufkin to come home.

The "I found some roses to show you" line as well as the snowdrops in The Spring Tune both have symbolism. Roses are usually associated with romance and snowdrops represent the end of a harsh winter and a return to warmth and happiness. Guys, the subtext is oozing out of this show. Season 3 has to have some development on that, right?
