V8 Toyota Snow Wheeling Madness: Deep Snow Mountain Climb
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 29 сен 2024
- We take our V8 swapped Toyota up a mountain covered in deep snow, putting its power and off-road capabilities to the test. With our trusty 1UZ V8 engine under the hood, we tackle the snow-covered terrain, pushing our vehicle to its limits and having a blast in the process.
As we navigate through the snowdrifts, you'll see our Toyota Pickup in action. We'll encounter challenging terrain, steep inclines, and tricky obstacles, all while battling the elements and the freezing temperatures.

I did sandwiches in my semi truck. A buddy of mine would drop a can of beans down a stack.
No problem working on a oil drilling site dismantling a drilling rig when it was lunch time he would stomp on the throttle a few times and the can of beans would fly out nice and hot. One day just before lunch it was very muddy and it was difficult to move the trucks around. It was tacking more and more throttle. WELL....
Suddenly a big bang ! It started raining beans. And then a can hit the ground. There was a lot of "what the hell". The boss had warned my buddy and he knew what it was and when I looked at the boss his head was hanging and shaking side to side! That's when he called lunch!
🤣 🤣
That's hilarious!
@@DirtGarage
YES it was
Needs more toyotas
This looks EXHAUSTING!!
Certainly was!
I love them ole school solid axle yota's👍🏿🤙🏿
We meet up on the side of the highway heading up into the mountains in Colorado. Sometimes we meet at gas stations at the bottom of the front range to convey up. We always break out the radios there and roll up to the high country.
Great video looks like a great day out. Come on spring !!
Soon we will get the spring snow!
Always the best part of the day when a new video is up!
About to watch - - - - Question is
“Will something break ?
Place your bets”
I’m going to guess; a strap snaps
No breaks here! We had a couple Afraid Knot ropes here, and both held up great!
Just want it to be known I was right! 🤣😝
Yes love, you where right 😁
I'm starting to love snow wheeling! Problem is I always wheel alone. I definitely learned the value in airing down the other day though. I'm on 33s and usually air down to 17. I took a trail going down that hadn't been driven on all winter and got to a point where my tires were just spinning. Backed up a couple feet, aired down to 12 psi and plowed right through a couple feet of snow for about a quarter mile. It kept me on top of the snow. I was so happy I got out without having to winch all the way out!
Snow wheeling isn't a solo game that is for sure! The more you air down it feels like cheat codes haha
Go even lower
@@DirtGarage yeah I don't go to far. I'm not that ballsy.
If you are on a 15in rim you could easily go down to 8psi. I was on load range C on 32x11.5r15s and would air down to 4 with no issues
@@TheJoshSay I'm on 17s it's a stock Gladiator Rubicon.
Sometimes snow wheeling looks fun. Other times I'm glad I live in Texas.
Is this an advert for buying a snowmobile ? I’m convinced. 😂🤙
😂
This is certainly sledding territory, got passed by a couple on this trip!
That was an epic day man, two pickups on 37s and a heavy 4Runner on 35s🤙🤙
At the time of recording I thought you had 37s 🤣
Toyota’s are funny they got giant tires and little baby axels look cool
I’m curious to what tire you think did the best out the three on this trip?
Not a yota fan but looks like fun
most of the Ab 4x4 groups meet up at timmys.
I have 35in tires 4.88 gears and a 4.7 single case with 22re motor Is the single case 4.7 too low for snow wheeling i never been in snow and cant get any definite answers appreciate any info from dirt garage you guys are certified snow wheelers
I was in 4.7 the whole day, and Skylers first gen is also 4.7, no such thing as to low for snow. Trevor in the blue 4Runner really wanted lower gears. Especially as we got higher the slower we had to go to stay ontop, I had both 4.7 and 2.28 engaged to keep moving forward.
snow wheeling is totally different animal it seems
I have an 89 Toyota pickup myself, what rack are you using in the back to hold the rooftop tent, or did you fabricate that yourself?
It's custom made.
“it’s essentially the same size engine” 😂
you need portals and tall skinny wills
Put tracks on the v8 truck imo
Hey I wouldn’t mind connecting with whomever has the v8 in their rig. I’m doing the swap on my truck and have some questions. Thanks
The old square body K5 chassis married to a toyota body worked exceptionally well back in the day, it was easy to swap to 1 ton axles after you started breaking stuff.
Paddle tyers...........
So much deep snow , so much fun
Damn i bet you get good at recovering people just on a normal day in the valley if you ever see someone on the side of the road. Haha still looks fun and honestly a good way to learn how to get yourself and others out of a pinch
My squad always meets up at the local Tractor Supply or 7-11/Circle K.
Sad I missed this looks fun. Looks hard as hell which I like. Love the intro and video.
Is it possible to go off-road if and not get dents in your truck?
great video man! they keep getting better every time!
i love that red first gen 😍
At this point in time we meet at the boat ramp,
The crappie fishn is on
They need to run this with sand paddles!
Классно 🤘👍
Paddle tyers and full diff sleds ......
Love that second gen 4Runner
Great video! Love the Yota's!
Need toy 60 axles links and 47s 🤷♀️ how we do it up in the snow in the pnw
Yeah, we are very under tired for deep snow. But none of us have dedicated snow tires, and want to keep these rigs street legal 😅
@@DirtGarage ever thought of doing toy 60s ? And 40s ? Can definitely keep it street legal with the right set up and that’s what we run. look up browns camp or Elbe videos
@@nateball10 I've considered it, and that's still pushing it. Plus 37s is plenty for a all year tire with good highway characteristics. The Taco we have in the works will be on tons and 40s though.
I get it I daily a second gen 84 but 22re swapped it built it 0.50 over and re sealed the whole motor 5.29s and 35s rear disc break swapped it which I kinda regret because I don’t have e brake now because stupid trail gear but I wanna 2rz swap it on low boost kit on links and Toyota 60 axles I don’t wanna do straight tons because it will be so wide and I wanna daily it still they are getting hard to find over here for a good price so a good toy 60 setup on 40s and interior cage is mint
Also just started watching your videos and seen the cab swap and appreciate that not a lot of videos out here like that
👍👊
We meet at the gas station. Nice rigs boys.
Thank you!
What engine & gearin was in that first gen?
22r, 4.7 in the t case, not sure about diffs. I asked, and will update you when I hear back haha
@@DirtGarageI have a rebuilt bored .040 over 22R with a weber 32/36 w56 standard t-case, no lockers 4.88s gears on 33s, engine is pushin 1500 miles
