It will be two years in July since my last journey north. Watching you and Joe travel through these majestic places gives me a surreal mix of serenity and envy. My mind recalls the sweet pine in the air swirling around with the first wisp of smoke that only balsam and cedar campfires can provide. My soul is starving for these experiences. There appears there is no light at the end of the tunnel that is the border which has sperated us from our friends to the north for far too long. When you light that next campfire, take a moment to savor that wonderful aroma for me. Thanks to both of you for all you do, sending a little piece of heaven down to those for whom it is painfully out of reach.
I empathize immensely Paul...cannot imagine two years. This latest camping ban here was two months and that was so frustrating. Hang in there my friend, the north and the sweet resinous breeze will be yours again
It's a breath of fresh air, to watch both of you guys. I've watched both of you separately but didn't know you were friends until this video. You love God's creation and enjoy it. You leave the sites cleaner than you found it and leave no footprint. Plus you don't have to use foul language when you converse. Look forward to seeing more!!! Thank you so much, I enjoy these videos so very much😊. Wish I could join you on a trip!
Eyeballed this vid in the late of the night. Fun to watch the canoe-mance. And Jon, you look so cheerfulhappythrilled to be out and full of true joy. Joe too. FREEDOM~~~~
2 like minded boys just out in the wilderness for some great experience and content. Seen Joe's upload yesterday and yours did not disappoint. Jon&Joe best collab
Here's the link to Joe's version of part 1: ruclips.net/video/MGELFbliiWo/видео.html Also I misspoke when I said "native" rainbow trout. What I meant was wild or self-sustaining, but I believe they were introduced in this area in the 40s. But that is still extremely rare. New canoe is a Nova Craft 16' Pal in their Tuffstuff layup, around 50lbs
Hey Jon, I'm from near your area, was wondering if you have plans to do Nama or Mobert creeks in the future or if you've done them before, I think you'd like them, they are my 2 favourite runs in this area They're both pretty clean and the ports are good.
J&J back again. Loved it Jon! And you let Joe have the best fish. Very generous as always. Having watched both, I really appreciate the production value of your vids and the quiet times where you capture the natural beauty found on the trip. Great job friend.
Awesome seeing you guys together again, we have got to get John some more SUBS .... Been watching both of you for years, also love the Baird bros to would love to see a trip with all four of you. Heck toss Doug and Self reliance in too!
Woo hoo! Camping ban lifted, new canoe, perfect campsites, good food, and gorgeous vistas. So grateful for your storytelling and skilled cinematography, Jon. That little skull was a 🦫 beaver. Best to you and Erin!
Thank you so much April! The teeth seemed like beaver but I would've imagined the skull to be bigger, but it was either a younger one or they're just smaller than I thought!
Wow I just finished watching and love it when I get two versions of the same trip. I’m so glad you guys got together and made it out again. Can’t wait for part 2 from both of you. Keep em coming buddy 👁🦉👁

That was great!! Thank you So happy to see you an Joe camping again. That had to have lifted your spirits after lock down. The rock shore line an your campsite were beautiful an so were your fish. Have a great day
When I had forced time off work in 2020, I tried to start a bushcraft channel. I thought it would be fun. I quickly realized just how much work went into filming and editing, especially if you're just starting out. I can only imagine what you have to go through for something like this. Know that your hard work is appreciated!
What a fantastic trip! Such epic fishing. I must say, it's refreshing to see your 'careful and calm' fish handling, angling skills. Proficient fishing becomes artistry when you keep only what you need, and release fish unharmed to fight another day. Well done!
When Joe caught the rainbow and the enthusiasm was overwhelming I wondered what he was like after his first daughter was born, can you imagine? lol (no net) Loved this perspective of the trip very nice.
watching this trip from joes channel to jumping over here and watching it from your point of view is pretty cool ! do you and joe keep in touch , and have you guys ever talked about going out together again ? would love the back story as to how you guys met and started getting together for trips

Well done guys! 👏 Nice to see you doing another collaboration video together. Looks like you had awesome fishing and and enjoyed some nicely maintained portage trails. Well deserved after last year's trip!

Jon. Great vid. Please please educate Joe on fish handling. He is Gill lifting every fish and releasing it. They can really be damaged like that ans you know better for sure. Keep up great work!
No Gill grabbing.....no handling. Take the camera to the fish in the net in the water. No Gill damage.....no bacteria growth. Especially in that unspoiled Paradise !
I couldn't believe his friend did that, I was always impressed on his fish handling from a kayak but his friend seemed to kill every single fish he caught, very disrespectful to the fishery.
Looks like another fun trip. I am so happy when you fish because you are so respectful, humane and grateful every time. Personally, I don’t like fish but you are welcome to have my share. Loved that surprise snowfall. So beautiful. Thanks and see you on the next one. Be safe and stay well.
