As an avid fly fisherman and a guy who watches too much fishing on youtube I really appreciate how quick you get the fish back into the water. Keep up the good work!
Just a wonderful place in the world. They were focused on plying the few big fish, we were loving the fun fish we could sight, the scenery, the birds 😍❤️🤩
Thanks! I really wish I could give more. I live in Michigan and my therapy is spending time on the trout streams and rivers north for the serene nature and of course the bonus beautiful and majestic trout if lucky. Your trip is on my bucket list and I can only hope to be so lucky as to fulfill it. Your video is so wonderfully done. Just perfect. This movie made my day. Oh, and helped make my weekend plans to drive north. ☺️ hopefully for a Steelhead! Cheers and so many thanks! Sincerely, Adrien Sharp
Beautiful shots great camera work ,some of those takes are epic , with the sun out you can see them engulf the fly great job a trip to remember for sure .🎣🐟
So jealous, title of the video is very appropriate, this certainly is a river of dreams, a dream fishing adventure. The scenery, wildlife and of course the fishing looks amazing. Kudos to your fishing skills dropping them flies exactly into your target (dinner plates) excellent fishing and I wouldn't have believed such size of fish would be roaming those small tributaries. The colours on them wild trout are awesome. Thanks for sharing your adventure, I really enjoyed watching.
It is truly one of those locations that is special, unique. The fishing can be a LOT better than we experienced tho, we arrived to HOT, calm, sunny weather and things just weren't on, so this is about the bottom end of the fishing, oddly enough :) We loved immersing into the landscape tho, and our focus was to enjoy the whole of the setting, the scenery, the birds. So beautiful. Hopefully it lasts - there is a LOT of development happening around the access to the property now.
INCREDIBLE VIDEO, I JUST FOUND THIS CHANNEL AND IT HAS BECOME MY FAVORITE. I AM ARGENTINE AND A FISHERMAN, WHEN YOU WANT TO COME THIS SIDE WE ORGANIZE A TRIP, THERE ARE GREAT PLACES AND VERY HUNTING FISH
when we return to Patagonia it will be the Argentinian side once again. We loved our time there in 2019 and hope to get on a road tour for ourselves in 2024 or 2025 :)

Great video. Editing is amazing. It has given us a spiritual connection to River not just the fishing. Well done. I was able to leave my life for a moment and be somewhere else. Dad died and he gave my brother and I the gift of fishing and a love for the outdoors. Felt close to him watching this. Thank you for all of the hard work that went into editing it
Thank you, glad you enjoyed this one... connected to it. That's great to hear 😊 We all need our mental and spiritual escapes and experiences. This was a tremendously wonderful experience that we're happy to have represented in our videos 😊
This was one of the most beautiful Scenery and fishing show I've ever see The land the drone I just loved it It's incredible to see something like that I could watch More and more Stay safe at my friend and we'll catch you another one
A great location to disappear to, especially in the right weather 😊 And definitely enjoyed Monte's company and appreciation of us spending a day chucao hunting, not many guides appreciate the value of that in life. He was one.
Isn't it incredible? It was honestly WAAY to much sensory overload to put into a video. Lodge owner wanted a snapshot video.... well... there's just too much value in experiences and locations like this one. 😊
What an amazing journey you took me on this evening, just WOW !!!! It’s like I was there with you. Looking forward to the rest of your adventures this year.
what a lovely video ,im glad i watched it as it took me back to when i was younger and there was more trees fields and wildlife about ,but sadly that was in the past. many years ago.
A stunning location and one we hope continues as a throwback to how the planet was. But, sadly, the encroachment on that section of private reserve is coming quickly.

Dave and Amelia, Been consuming your content for over 20 years and I think you guys are still at the top of your game. Maintaining this level of excellence over this period show what pros you are. Though I had seen some of this in shorter format, this is beautifully put together in longer form. Keep up the good work. I don’t know anything about the economics of what you do but do and also know it takes a tremendous amount of time to edit all this, therefore am reticent to make any suggestions. However, here goes . . . Keep your core videos unchanged but would love to see more about your amazing experience. Guide interviews about their lives and families. Cooking scene / interview with a little how to about an amazing authentic meal in camp e.g. asado by someone doing it their family way (always some of my favorite memories from my trips). You guys are just scratching the surface of “taking us along with you” on your adventures. There is only so much time in the day, but I am hoping for more and know I will be there to watch. I could see a full feature documentary in your future. Oh, and thank you for inspiring me to pursue some of my adventures and teaching me how to be ready when I get there!
Hi Bill. Thank you for watching our videos and taking the time to offer thoughtful feedback. Honestly it feels as though we are just now stepping into the maturity of where we're supposed to be. It takes an incredible amount of time to edit a video like this - about 8 x 16hr days after fishing a week. There is really very little in the fly fishing industry to support efforts like this financially and those opportunities most often require selling out to the financiers. We have a good relationship with Orvis that helps offset some of our costs but nothing comes close to an income, except for our viewers' support through our membership page at Patreon which is outlined at our www.jensenflyfishing.com website. We truly NEED the ongoing support of the fly fishing community in order to continue doing what we are doing, hence why we had to begin our Patreon 10 months back. All our efforts are viewer supported as RUclips income is low and fleetingly unpredictable. Our new series as launched on Saturday is "How We Do It" and dives into the full picture of immersion into sense of place/location while blending how we fly fish, how we film, what these moments mean to us. Tying in cultural aspects, guide relationships, etc will be a part of this as the support of our efforts expand to allow additional travel - again, travel to fish with a guide either requires a lodge or outfitter paying our travel/accommodation or we have to jump through the full process of working with Tourism boards in competition with various media companies for limited funding all the while producing pop-culture popular content based on the algorithms instead of where our passions lie in order to gain views & likes to substantiate Tourism $ as they look at carte-blanche #s rather than the quality of viewer. All the while that process is time consuming and takes away from doing and enjoying what we love - being on the water. It's all incredibly limiting and why we began Patreon - we hope that people understand that sharing as we do with the new series and the 60 to 90 minute durations and all the value inset are worth supporting. Thank you for the thoughtful reply. Dave & Amelia.
Such a beautiful place. First time I've seen the fisher wiggling the rod. I thought that was a Scottish thing. We will add movement in moving water sometimes. Really enjoyed this video tbh.. Videography and editing is top notch.
when you get in touch with what you can do with the rod, what it does to the leader and how that leader finesses flies "just so", that wiggle shines! :) Thank you and glad you enjoyed it. Dave
Just gorgeous water and landscape - and to think it's all privately held to the mountain tops. Was good to be invited and so glad the videos from the trips have been so well-received. A gorgeous location :)
That was a collection of videos to be sure. The whole effort was an insane amount of content gathered from a magical location on the planet. Hopefully it never changes but development is coming and not too far away, so here's hoping...
This hands down some of if not the best footage I have ever seen. Then how captured the trout. Truly work of art. The lighting angles. Beautifully done. This something I wish I could learn . Whomever fliming an artist 🎨
:) Thank you - it is Amelia & myself (Dave) filming through this amazing trip. It's an incredible location with great fishing for mostly gorgeous browns. The hard part was deciding what footage to cut from 100hrs of filming! :)
Pretty soon it will be the end of March and I'll be on my way back. To Coyhaique, to Baker, to the lodge. I wish I had been able to join you this year. But stuff happens. Life gets in the way. I even miss the horseback ride!
That horseback ride! Hola man... you did well! You will love the new lodge. It's a ways from completion and we missed out but we're able to walk through its shell and the views from the dining/lounge area are world class. You'll love your trip for sure. 🙃🥰

Wonderfully so on a private reach of property along a wild, massive river. As a Canadian it was wonderful to visit, to enjoy immersion in different wilds :) We loved the scenery, the bird life, the nalca and beyond. Being a guest of a commercial operation to represent their business, it is sometimes difficult to get to know more of the people beyond the face of business and what they want you to see, who they want you to be and do. We absolutely loved our time with Monte, the work of Ande in constructing the location & facilities, the welcoming spirit of Tomi :)
Beautiful! I've fished in the Coyhaique area for for 10 years, never gets tiring, always beautiful. Want to fish NZ but never been there. Any suggestions on region/contact? Cheers and Happy New Year!
Hiya - NZ is a different flavour vs Coyhaique... fewer fish and far bigger avg sizes. It's a biomass distribution - population dynamics thing. Check out nzfishing.com as well as heaps of info on Nz fish & game as well as the nz guide association website! 😊🍻
Awesome as always - curious - did you use 6 weights on this trip? I saw they recommended 6/7 weights on the website. Curious if i could get by with my 5's
We used 5 wt's, but you need a rod that works well for you in wind. Being able to accurately hit the spots while moving along pretty quickly in a boat is important as you're often in big water that flows at quite a pace and they can only slow down those big cataracts down so much. Hope that helps!
We don't know much either but as far as we know they are. It's quite the trail and the horses definitely get a work out and have to find their footing.

Again, misogynist commentary. Consider who you are talking to.
The horses are gonna wind up dead and broken legs.
Our thoughts too. Life's a little rougher in some areas.
Man, I feel sorry for the horses. I think Donkey's would have been more appropriate...
