    Thanks! I really wish I could give more. I live in Michigan and my therapy is spending time on the trout streams and rivers north for the serene nature and of course the bonus beautiful and majestic trout if lucky. Your trip is on my bucket list and I can only hope to be so lucky as to fulfill it. Your video is so wonderfully done. Just perfect. This movie made my day. Oh, and helped make my weekend plans to drive north. ☺️ hopefully for a Steelhead! Cheers and so many thanks! Sincerely, Adrien Sharp

    So jealous, title of the video is very appropriate, this certainly is a river of dreams, a dream fishing adventure. The scenery, wildlife and of course the fishing looks amazing. Kudos to your fishing skills dropping them flies exactly into your target (dinner plates) excellent fishing and I wouldn't have believed such size of fish would be roaming those small tributaries. The colours on them wild trout are awesome. Thanks for sharing your adventure, I really enjoyed watching.

      It is truly one of those locations that is special, unique. The fishing can be a LOT better than we experienced tho, we arrived to HOT, calm, sunny weather and things just weren't on, so this is about the bottom end of the fishing, oddly enough :) We loved immersing into the landscape tho, and our focus was to enjoy the whole of the setting, the scenery, the birds. So beautiful. Hopefully it lasts - there is a LOT of development happening around the access to the property now.

    Dave and Amelia, Been consuming your content for over 20 years and I think you guys are still at the top of your game. Maintaining this level of excellence over this period show what pros you are. Though I had seen some of this in shorter format, this is beautifully put together in longer form. Keep up the good work. I don’t know anything about the economics of what you do but do and also know it takes a tremendous amount of time to edit all this, therefore am reticent to make any suggestions. However, here goes . . . Keep your core videos unchanged but would love to see more about your amazing experience. Guide interviews about their lives and families. Cooking scene / interview with a little how to about an amazing authentic meal in camp e.g. asado by someone doing it their family way (always some of my favorite memories from my trips). You guys are just scratching the surface of “taking us along with you” on your adventures. There is only so much time in the day, but I am hoping for more and know I will be there to watch. I could see a full feature documentary in your future. Oh, and thank you for inspiring me to pursue some of my adventures and teaching me how to be ready when I get there!

    • @jensenflyfishing
      @jensenflyfishing  Год назад

      Hi Bill. Thank you for watching our videos and taking the time to offer thoughtful feedback. Honestly it feels as though we are just now stepping into the maturity of where we're supposed to be. It takes an incredible amount of time to edit a video like this - about 8 x 16hr days after fishing a week. There is really very little in the fly fishing industry to support efforts like this financially and those opportunities most often require selling out to the financiers. We have a good relationship with Orvis that helps offset some of our costs but nothing comes close to an income, except for our viewers' support through our membership page at Patreon which is outlined at our www.jensenflyfishing.com website. We truly NEED the ongoing support of the fly fishing community in order to continue doing what we are doing, hence why we had to begin our Patreon 10 months back. All our efforts are viewer supported as RUclips income is low and fleetingly unpredictable. Our new series as launched on Saturday is "How We Do It" and dives into the full picture of immersion into sense of place/location while blending how we fly fish, how we film, what these moments mean to us. Tying in cultural aspects, guide relationships, etc will be a part of this as the support of our efforts expand to allow additional travel - again, travel to fish with a guide either requires a lodge or outfitter paying our travel/accommodation or we have to jump through the full process of working with Tourism boards in competition with various media companies for limited funding all the while producing pop-culture popular content based on the algorithms instead of where our passions lie in order to gain views & likes to substantiate Tourism $ as they look at carte-blanche #s rather than the quality of viewer. All the while that process is time consuming and takes away from doing and enjoying what we love - being on the water. It's all incredibly limiting and why we began Patreon - we hope that people understand that sharing as we do with the new series and the 60 to 90 minute durations and all the value inset are worth supporting. Thank you for the thoughtful reply. Dave & Amelia.

Being a guest of a commercial operation to represent their business, it is sometimes difficult to get to know more of the people beyond the face of business and what they want you to see, who they want you to be and do. We absolutely loved our time with Monte, the work of Ande in constructing the location & facilities, the welcoming spirit of Tomi :)

      We used 5 wt's, but you need a rod that works well for you in wind. Being able to accurately hit the spots while moving along pretty quickly in a boat is important as you're often in big water that flows at quite a pace and they can only slow down those big cataracts down so much.
