Just a little advice in the future. Make sure you cycle your tank, if you don’t know what that is just google how to cycle an aquarium. Also make sure you don’t over sock the tank. But you did a very good job at actually buying the appropriate equipment for a betta

Hey! Just for some advice regarding your pleco, they actually require a minimum of 30 gallons as they can get huge! I’ve seen some that are like a foot long. Also, your betta care looks great! If you are wanting a bottom feeder for a ten gallon I would personally reccomend a snail, Cory catfish, algae eater, or a shrimp! Remember to take good care of your new fish children!

Thank you for letting me know my dad bought it to put in his pond outside for the summer but since it’s so small he wanted to have it grow up alittle bit before it was put with the Oscar and koi fish. So once he grows alittle bigger he will move in with them😊

yes i was gonna comment the same thing! Also with the algae eater in there if you add more fish it could be dangerous bc of how big of a bio load they have , and cycle the tank fully before adding more fish so you do not cause a giant ammonia spike 🙂 thank you for not putting him in a bowl!

ahh this is awesome! love the 10 gallon and you've clearly done some research. so glad this wasn't another sad Betta video. one tip though, I believe the live plant that you got is a type of java fern and those don't do too well buried in substrate. they prefer to be attached to a rock or driftwood or something that sits above the water. if you want something to bury in the soil though, I would suggest basically any kind of Anubias or an amazon sword plant :)

Hi I've been in the hobby for 2 years and I have also have 12 betas and of course all of my tanks have black or red gravel or colored gravel or something like this but I live in Taiwan and I'm an American. I want to say great job on doing research and I hope that your fish continues to thrive.
I'd recommend Omega 1 pellets and Frozen bloodworms. In America they have a lot of great foods like bug bites and things like that.
Your beta needs a high diet of protein and I don't know it's confusing as to how often you feed I usually feed my bettas every other day and I give them five to six pellets because they have the small intestinal tract is what I've heard.
However as an American living in another country every country has a different concept on how to care for their betas but I tend to take a look at how they are are they swimming does the water smell clean do they look healthy what's the size you know some females they really enjoy large tanks and some males are actually quite content with you know maybe a three gallon tank but I do know that we use live plants because the plastic ones will kill your bettas fins.
Anubia sizzle great plant you don't need any aquarium soil there's also floaters which are great they just love to sleep in the leaves like the Water lettuce.
I'm sorry I forgot to mention that your tank is lovely

Sorry the name of the plant is anubias. This is a great plan but it never croaks you could actually even grow it in darkness. I live in Taiwan where the weather is at least over 90° like everyday so it's difficult to keep plants alive due to the water temperature but also this plant actually doesn't need to be in substrate you can just attach it to a piece of Driftwood like by putting the rhizome in one of the holes or even just tying it down with fish line is good

  • @brokenarrowranch.trouble
    @brokenarrowranch.trouble 3 года назад

Omg!! I love the setup but honey! Pls research ! Your fish is most likely gonna die, fake plants, didn’t wash the substrate and you didn’t let it cycle! Please don’t put a pile o in ther to make it worse! This just gives me a headache. I’m glad your having fun but after that fish dies pls re start your tank with genuine research. And thank you for not putting it in a bowl, I have seen much worse fish care takers. I am subscribing because you seem like a fun vlogger 😄

Hey guys I'm super excited I've been in the hobby for 2 years. And I am going to be doing a 5 gallon planted tank with a natural looking theme.
Forgive me when I first started I did not know because I live in Taiwan and I'm an American but in Taiwan they actually only put betas in a half gallon and they just get a few plants and some colored gravel when I researched in America I attempted to enlarge the size I even cycle the tanks and everything but the fish just kept dying which helped me to discover that the reason my fish were dying is because they're all male.
Sadly in Taiwan they're kept in drinking cups and they're not medicated right away they don't get Medicaid until they start getting sick and that's not what I would do honestly.
However it turns out but females can live up to 3 years or longer because they've been medicated immediately and they're kept in a tank all together.
So this tank but I'm creating is going to be for a female and I'm super excited because I'm going to be using egg stones and Driftwood and I'm just really excited but first I'm going to put a piece of aquarium background I'd like it to be black to give it a clean look.
I do have a RUclips channel but it's mainly just so I can have a record of my fish but when my projects done if you want to check it out please feel free to take a look it's going to be a while I'll be using only my right hand as I recover from a broken shoulder
