I'm so glad you pointed out the "as I got to know her..." stories. I have been trying to say this in a succinct way for years but always fail. Every "exception" of a relationship I've ever known, as you get close enough to the woman to start hearing or seeing the TRUTH, the facade crumble. Every time I hear someone point out a relationship they think proves that it's NoT aLl Men, I just sigh and walk away. Maybe but unlikely. Every time I've fallen for that Okey doke, it just took getting more comfortable with the woman or spending more time with the couple to realise it was HELL glossed up for social brownie points. I never used to envy anyone's relationships but I used to respect some of them. Now I have a neutral to skeptical outlook. Everybody is fronting until proven otherwise. So far, no proof ...
