Thanks so much! We just took delivery of the Crane-3 with the extra arm. I like having the dual grips plus I can flip the rig over the top to do low angle shooting. This tutorial was just what I needed as I'm sure most of this will apply to the 3. I use the battery grip for the extra battery time so I'm hoping it won't add to much time to the balancing setup. Thanks again for the info!

You’re a lifesaver! I have a heavy lens and mount on my DSLR so it’s really on the verge of the max weight this gimbal can carry. I’ve been using a different sequence to try to balance it but it never worked. I finally got it to balance after watching your video!

What’s the issue with this gimbal and the xt3 screen? Do you use an external monitor with it?
Setting this up and using a Sony a6x00 camera is so much better than Fuji. These were designed with Sony cameras in mind.
A Sony a6400 with 18-105 f/4 is perfectly mated to the Crane Plus. Perfect out of the box video. Keep making tutorials, they’re great!
Hey Brian, fair. However, the Fuji is my camera of choice, so it's a moot point haha
Love my 6000/6400 cameras! Couldn’t be more pleased. The lens choices made the decision for me. Also I’ve been obtaining vintage lenses. My Helios and Jupiter glass is some of my favorite for portraits and street.

you didn't balance that third motor on the bottom, below the camera. You need to put the gimbal down so the camera is flat on the surface and then lift it up - the back motor needs to stay on the level with the camera. If it is not set up it will swing above or under the camera.
I hate setting up the gimbal every time before filming. Although it doesn't take long, it is always a chore.
I use Atomos Ninja V on the gimbals as well and that means connecting a HDMI cable to the camera which adds more weight to one side :(
Oh weird. Didn't realize that/ didn't encounter that in any tutorials. Seems to be working fine even though! Maybe because my setup is super light

Hey Daniel, thanks! The gimbal is functioning by definition, but it's fully manual. The Zhiyun app doesn't communicate with the X-T3 at this point in time (which is disappointing, but I guess I don't know any better lol).
Is it possible to get a taller base mount so I can take picture of myself on a somewhat traditional tripod.

Hey! sorry for not following up sooner. I JUST shot with the 16-55. I'll be honest- it was a little heavy. Wouldn't recommend it for this gimbal model.
Creative Nest Thank you for your reply. I already shot an album song with 16-55 on this. I don’t have 18-55 yet. Yes, 16-55 seem a bit heavy, but getting used to it. Might buy 18-55 too sometime.
