Be aware if you are getting one of these for use with a Canon 6D, you can't balance a 50mm prime or a 24-105mm without the gimbal hitting against itself during operation. Either the viewfinder hits against the rear motor or the camera mounting plate hits against the bottom motor when performing sharp turns when the gimbal is held at a diagonal angle. Very bad design flaw that could be resolved by lengthening the motor arms. Another possible solution could be to add a weight plate to the rear of the camera mounting plate, between your camera and the mounting plate, to counterbalance the weight of the lens, so that the camera can be mounted further forward, giving the viewfinder more room. Great results if you can get it to work though!
Probably there will be the same problem with 6d mark ii right? I want to buy gimbal, but don't know which one.

Do I have to use a camera with remote input for the timelapse function? Or can I just let the crane do the moving and set the timelapse intervall in the camera seperately? Although I think, syncing this would be dificult...
Tea Jay Photography no camera remote needed for time lapses or movement. Just set time lapse with phone, set your camera and hit go.
Does the remote control work with G7 ? Because Zhiyun does not state exactly what Panasonic camera works on their homepage.
Thanks for the great review. Any idea if you have to unbalance it to pack it flat in a bag? With previous versions, the top arm would hit the base and they wouldn't pack flat, which was a pain for travel.
Yea, you have to at least loosen the tilt axis for it to lay flat. And then if you want to put it in the actual case it comes with you have to loosen all 3.
Did you use in-body-stabilization together with the gimbal?
On some shots, yes, only because it’s been so windy to the point it may blow over.
So now they have a Zyhun model that's compatible with the GH5/GH5s?

teresa belle thanks! Phone holder not included. Just use a hot shoe and a cheap lightweight phone mount. The lower the phone sits the better in my opinion. Omar Somo I haven’t been able to get manual focus to work with my GH5. Only auto focus. Not sure if Sony would be any different. I know sucks, I’m ganna write them and see if they have anything in the works.
Does anyone know if you can use functions such as MotionMemory, NightLapse, Object tracking on Nikon cameras?
Can it hold an oben quick release plate?

FAN MANTOU are you reading the “Plus” manual? I can assure you Auto Focus on the GH5 works with the w/t button, there is nothing to it. However, manual focus does NOT work, which sucks!!

Gert Henriksen the crane plus has a payload of 5.5 pounds my 5dmk3 works pretty well with it however my 60d is much smoother with my 10-18mm wide angle lens

I think so. I've tried this with my Sony A7R2 and will only allow me to get "night lapse" in video.

So Zhiyun can create a gimbal that can use the Panasonic focus controls but they want me to buy a €129 addon for my €800 Crane 2? Unbelievable!!
If you zoom in or out with that lens, are the motors strong enough to compensate without you having to rebalance?
dinthisane yes.
I found myself rebalancing because once you zoom out the front gets heavier and once you move the gimbal the cameras going to fall forward unless I’m doing something wrong.
eagleseyemedia that’s what I figure would happen too. Maybe have you tried balancing the gimbal with the zoom in the middle? So either way you zoom you are not as far off the balanced position.

Sami Hong never had V2. Last gimbal was beholder DS1. Yea I know.
v2 sucks i just returned it for this one trust me get the plus i had the v2 plus you get the mini tripod and the wires for the camera you have.

Zhao Chen haven’t really tested that too much. I was out when it was really windy, had it set up on a tripod and it was so windy it was going to blow my whole tripod over. But you mean like having it mounted on top of a car and driving fast? I think it would do fine.

It works if you set up an arm attached to the Zhiyun where you can have your monitor plus receiver. And that arm will also give you an extra grip.
