I could not thank you enough for this! Their reading instructions have totally left me dumbfounded, while with your help I managed to balance out my Nikon d750 beautifully (even with 24-120mm lens!). For the price that I got this I totally could not ask for more, I am super happy with it, but just to be picky and add on a few things to things I wish existed I wish I could see my battery life somehow and I wish I did not need to undo the WHOLE setup so I can fit it back in its case
Great gimbal for camera! I also bought it recently. You can shoot very smooth images. The video was very interesting! I will come to play again. With love from Japan :)
Hi, just one comment. At 10.52 you say that you can not put back the camera to end. Have got my 5Dmark 3 completely to the end. So , I guess sometime is wrong with your balancing. cheers Richard
Its wierd your box layout is different then mine. There is a seperate area for the batteries and charger that has a hard foam cover that goes on top of it, the when the gimbal is layed down in the case, the mount plate lays ontop of the battery/charger storage area. I wonder why the difference?
Very useful intro to the Crane. Thanks! I do believe, though, that the balance problems with certain lenses could be solved with different sollutions of counter weighting.
It absolutely is solved with counter weights, I just don't recommend that to people because it becomes more difficult to balance and it adds quite a bit of weight. Thanks for the comment 🤝
This thing looks amazing and I agree I would get frustrated not really knowing what mode I’m in. A nice LCD screen would be a great addition to the next version...great video homie!
It's a pain, but nothing that really is a show stopper. What bothers me the most is I'm not able to balance the Sigma onto the system. Thanks for stopping in bro 👊
I bought this on the assumption it could balance my D750.Even with the smallest lens(Sigma 10-20mm) its just too heavy. It balances ok on setup and once it switches on it balances perfectly. But once I turn it the whole thing just loses its balance.Yes it can hold a large camera but its all over the place once you move it around.
I just bought this for my Canon 5DMKIV. I'm kinda wondering if I should have gotten the Crane 2 because though I was able to achieve balancing with my camera and an 85mm 1.8 lens, it still seems very heavy..like for the gimbal I mean.
Nice video. One video no one has made are the camera settings (Sony mirrorless, A6500 in my case). There are a lot of posts on the Zhiyun Facebook page of frustrated users because the camera controls simple as they may be, do not appear to work. Rather than guessing it would be nice to know what settings are used in the camera to enable USB control.
DId you ever figure this out? I have a A6300 and am using the supplied SONY cable but it doesnt seem to do a damn thing. I cant control taking shots or recording with the button on the camera like I should be. Im just hoping its some setting in the camera I have to change to get it to work, but havent found one yet.
at 3:58 you talk about a 3/4 to 1/4 20 adapter. Is there some sort of piece that goes in there (that could fall out)? I can't put my Crane Plus together anymore because the screws don't fit together.
Can you use a quick release on the Crane Plus? I have the Crane v2 and I tried a Canon m50 and a quick release plate and it didn’t work. It’s not too much weight, it’s only only 24oz. The Crane is supposed to support 3.9lbs.
Just got mine the other day, however, I'm unable to move the mounting plate where the camera sits. I've turned the thumbscrew beneath around so many times and it's still not sliding, it's just stuck. Any advice?
I'm debating between getting the Crane 2 or Crane Plus. I use the canon 80D (730g) with the EFS 18-135 canon lens (455g). My whole setup is equal to 1185g. The Crane V2 is not capable of handling this setup due to the weight being too heavy, but the Crane 2 is capable of handling this setup. Do you know if the Crane Plus can handle this setup?
I just purchased the PLUS and I have a Canon 5DMKIV. I balanced it with an 85mm 1.8. It works fine. NO quick release plate...but I feel like I'm RIGHT there with the weight limit....I kinda wish I had put up more money for the Crane 2 for not only just the extra payload but the OLED to show what mode youre in. I wonder if I can still return this to Amazon ;)
Has anyone got the A6300 to connect to the gimbal? I can balance mine on it for the most part (using my 55-210 is a bit of a pain, particularly if the camera gets knocked the manual zoom can extend out and totally mess up the balance, so you have to rebalance it, probably best without a large zoom lense I guess), but the sony cable doesnt seem to connect the camera to the gimbal. Has anyone else succesfully used the included sony cable to link to a A6300?
hello .. i want to ask .. i use zhiyun crane plus, it is amazing .. but i have trouble to use object tracking feature, same already use zhiyun play app on my smartphone, have connected with zhiyun crane plus and i have chosen camera phone, but not the same as the display in the camera .. please help .. thank you ..
This was very informative! I own Sony a6500 and my lens set up are very front heavy! I would be very annoyed if the Crane Plus supports the weight but not the weight distribution of my setup. Do you think Crane 2 will remedy the weight balance issue???
I bought a new zihyun crane plus and its rec and zoom button is not working. When i try to get this features work by pressing the buttons, it constantly shows me this picture and not working. Anyone who can advise me on what might have happened to it?? PS: My camera Sony rx10m3 is already connected to the crane.
Jesus. Is it so much to ask that people just make a 2-4 minute video on a specific topic? Like, "How TF do I mount my camera to TF Gimbal?" Everyone on here spends 10 minutes talking about some shit I couldn't care less about. I came for a very specific instruction. I don't give a shit about the packaging, or your fascination with the aesthetics. Get to the point. Stay on subject.
@@TomasVillegas 🤷🏻♂️. Of course you will. They'll still be losing people's interest after you spend 2 minutes describing the package and how it makes you feel, though. Sorry, dude. It's not even you. I just get super frustrated after 30 minutes seearching for a few answers to simple/specific questions, just to have to listen to people ramble off topic for 3/4 of the video, or name their video something misleading.
Pick up/preorder the Crane Plus!
On Amazon ▶︎ amzn.to/2FaHO04
Or B&H ▶︎ bhpho.to/2CWejhw
POV mode is just push mode button once to lock mode and once again to POV. No need to push it 3 times. See manual

$249 on deal of the day!

One take away for me is that I shoot with Nikons and Nikon doesn’t make a cable for the gimbal.
these guys are really taking the gimbal market. Like where's dji. been silent for a whiles now.

the mode is soooo confusing lol. Newbee here. But I guess it just takes practice.
Just use your phone app and you will know what mode it is .. simple
Great to have gotten Kevin Costner for the video!

Why or how is the mode thing a problem, just use the app on your phone
Hey thanks for the video. Can you please write the adapter for the tripod, please? I just bought a used one that’s missing that adapter
Thanks for this proper advice!✌😘
I love my Crane V2... I would love to get my hands on the Crane 2.. that things looks like a beast..
great video bro!!!
Thanks man!
you were holding it so much when balancing out everything that i got really confused what you were balancing
Sorry.
As a vlogger you need a flip screen to see your self so with that gimbal how can you flip the screen gimbal will just be in the way
Hello! Is shooting in light rain conditions possible or absolute "no-no"?

Thank you so much, I have the sony a7iii with adaptor and was struggling to balance it.
Glad this was of help to you.
149!!!! I took it and ran!!!
Will this work with a Sony a7 iii with the sigma 24 105 f4 adapted to the Sony?
One day I will get one
Nice work T!
Wont work with your Sony and Sigma 18-15, wow. Not good. Will it work with a GH4 and Sigma 18-35?
Metabo support for camera mount can u send me that link please great tutorial

So you know how long the batteries take to charge before turning it on for the first time?
Solid review! Thanks
Thanks 👍
Love 7:46 good video man! Very informative!
Thanks brosuf! I appreciate'cha stoppin' in!
I haven't been able to get it to record when pushing camera button on gimbal all it does is take a picture I have a Sony a6300
Manually balancing this thing is a pain in the ass
Nice review, and channel! Sending some sub love from Toronto Canada 🇨🇦
Its comfortable with Nikon D5600?
Great review. Will it work with sony FS5?
I wonder how heavy the lens used is?
I tried it with the Nikon F90. Could not shoot any video with that combination.
It's too huge for me.Do u have another choice?
You don't explain the pan part. You just say "it shouldn't go up like that" and then you just skipped the part where you should see the difference.
Any suggestions on canon t6i settings
Nice work
Thanks!
I'm sure someone said this by now but.. huuuuhhh... lol good review man! excited for mine to show up soon!!
Thank you.
My video clips are jittery.. what program setting will help with that?
Great video :) Do you know if it works with the Sony A6300, Sigma MC11 and the Sigma 18-35? Thank you in advanced
I don't think it would work out. Definitely need a Crane 2.

He not once explained about the cons that you can use your smartphone instead to have full control as well.
Keep in mind when I made this video there wasn't a smartphone app that worked well enough so I left it out completely.
Fantastic
Do you think it would work on Nikon D5100?
That's a pretty heavy setup. I don't think this work be a good option.
Just got mine the other day, however, I'm unable to move the mounting plate where the camera sits. I've turned the thumbscrew beneath around so many times and it's still not sliding, it's just stuck. Any advice?

My assumption would be that it would not handle the weight especially at the extended focal length,

Hi 🤓 does the crane PLUS work fine with a6300 and sony 18-105 lens?
i guess it would do just fine. i have my a6500 with the 18-105mm g master and it was fine.
Has anyone got the A6300 to connect to the gimbal? very nice video!
11:56 obviously post stabilized shot ... What's the point ??
I don't know. 🤷♂️
Differences between this and the Crane 2? starting to think they have too many SKU's
FreshTechTV Crane 2 is their flagship that holds 7lbs. This only holds 5lbs max.
Tomas Villegas oh okay I have the crane 2 and with Plus being in the name I thought this was an upgrade
And I was using my stock lens on my sony and the zoom didn't work either
Only t-shirt and shorts in the snow? Hahaha
No wonder he looked miserable 😆
Compatible with nikon d3300?
Only Panasonic and Sony camera?
Nice
Price of this product _+
hey will a nikon p1000 fit on this?
Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching 🤝
i have zhiyun crane plus but the gimbal won't connect with my a6300, i tried for all of the tutorial but still didnt works, help me pls...
!
Hi, i have ordered the zhiyun crane plus and the sony a7iii with 24-70 f2.8, will that setup balance well?
thank you
Should work fantastically!
Can I use Samsung nx 3000 with crane plus?
Is this could fit with sony a77ii?

For sure. The Crane 2 is really an awesome option.
the bateries orientation is not shown good at all on the manual, I´m afraid to insert them in the wrong direction, any help please.
the batteries are POSITIVE terminal UP. Both of them.
How.about the apps?..how to open crane bluetooth
Is this compatible with Canon T6i Rebel? Or Nikon D5600?
Yes, the T6i...not sure on other, but more than likely...the cables only work w Sony n Panasonic thgh...
How do u get that kinda snorri cam looking shot at 11:50??
With After Effects, it's a stabilization trick that looks kind of neat.
Chicken-head Mode LMAO 8:55
will it charge my sony a6500 while using?
Yes it will.

yeah
Maybe 😉
Compatible with Nikon D7000 ?
👍
Thank's !
Is this compatible with sony a6500
Yes it is.
@@TomasVillegas thank you..i can use all sony lenses? especially sony 18-135 mm
you cant see the screen in this gimbal
how, for the love of god, did they manage to mis-spell "axis" on the front of the box.. its pretty worrying that they can oversee such a huge typo
🤷♂️
It's always amazes me that how can you guys spot such mistakes in youtube videos. Well done.
It is not a good experience for me to use Crane plus with my sunny camera. I am very disappointed on Zhiyun service. Next time sharing other brands.
Anne Shi ya service is shit
Thank you for the video and this fair assessment. Save me some bucks as I think it will not fit my camera :)
Glad I could help.
boy this sigma is heavy...I am selling mine
how many hours did anyone get from the bateries? I got like 40 mins of usage and then it died, I´m on my first use
Yikes! You may need to contact Zhiyun about that.
I did 12 hours of shooting and it still says more than 75%
Hi there, i have question.. what cable can used for canon 5d mark3, for crane plus?
I bought the Zhiyun Canon cable and it doesn't work with the Crane Plus.
Greig Reid ohhh. Thanks for responds. 😉
i learned nothing from watching this video on how to balance the pan axis
T L see 7:58
was the worst gimbal i owned many years ago lol :)
Zhiyun is trash, get dji instead. It’s more compatible with more cameras
