Thanks man for this video! There are many Crane 2 tutorials out there but yours one is my preferable as you got straight to the point without wasting watcher’s time :) I always watch your video when I forget the right balancing order of the crane as I switch gimbals from time to time :)
Thanks for producing a very information video without background music which is common on other RUclips tutorial music. I could clearly hear and understand you.
I love the sequence you showed, which is different from any recommended. Yours make more sense. And the fact you have to go back to previous ones to get there. I would have mentioned to get the camera operation ready before balancing. Amazing video.
I always keep an ND on in case it goes crazy, could save your lens. Just leave it a tiny tiny bit front heavy and then take the ND off when ready to shoot.
Just purchased this but only have an entry level DSLR Nikon D3500, do you think this will work ok I have a wide angel lens also, let me know please, great set up video
Awesome Bro! I just got mine today and am using a A7III as well. I could do it , but your technique will speed it up a lot. And It's so solid (the Crane 2) !! I can't wait to shoot with it tomorrow. thanks again.
Thanks I’m gonna try to get it right this time. This always seems to be a challenge for me, and my Crane always ends up getting all wonky on me. Just FYI though, the words are “forward and backward“ in the singular. Not forwards and backwards.😀
Fantastic video and such clear, helpful instructions. Thanks. Can I ask you a question - would you need to get a tripod that is compatible with this gimbal for ease of transfer between gear. Or, is any tripod ok and gimbal and tripod are used very much as two separate pieces of equipment....?? Thanks so much for your insight.
Hi, thank you for the tutorial, super helpful. I managed to get everything balanced, I turned it on for the first time, and it worked perfect. But after I turned it off it seems it not in balance anymore. Is that normal?
I balance it ok but when I turn it on it shakes and won’t stop. I turned the level to low for Sony cameras but still does it. Do I need to calibrate it with the new upgrade.
I can’t seem to be able to but a canon camera chord replacement for the ability to control camera exposure and focus settings from the gimble. Any advise ?
I can’t seem to figure out what’s the problem i recently bought a sigma 18-35mm to go with my canon T7i and i can’t get it balanced and i know how to balance my other lens! ........Every time i face the lens up it’s falls back and i keep adjusting the side axle but it’s just continues to fall back i can get everything else balance but not the side axle! I also has a battery grip on my T7i maybe that’s affecting it?
Mine keeps trilling with 20 mm lens (lumix) my lens is too lightweight... I guess? If I balance it correct and then turn on.. it’s trilling so much and when I put it more backwards it’s less trilling.. but when I turn it off then my camera falls backwards... not logic at all .. I really think my body is too heavy in contrary with my lens.. is that possible? If I switch mode follow up and down also it does not trill....
When the Zhiyun is powered-off it is balanced. I can turn it sideways and it stays balanced. When I power this thing on and turn it sideways it keeps going up and down (the back part). how to fix this..
When I do the right balance I can never get it to stay up or down it just goes back to the middle is my lens to small I have a6400 Sony with 16-50 kit lens
I have everything balanced included the tilt. However, when I power up and move to the tilt position the motor still shakes. Any suggestion? Thank you.
no, it is only for camera. You can refer to the Crane M3S/M3/M2S/M2, these can work with both camera and phone. But only support button control for camera. If you are looking for a gimbal that work with the phone, the Smooth series would be better.
It take 2 days and i still can't figure it out how to balance the roller axis motor, it stay straight but when ever i tilt it doesn't stay on the position,it always came back to the original position
Thank god, a real balancing video. You're a gem
Thanks

I love the sequence you showed, which is different from any recommended. Yours make more sense. And the fact you have to go back to previous ones to get there. I would have mentioned to get the camera operation ready before balancing. Amazing video.
Thank You for taking the time to show this critical step.

@@MediaUnlocked Now that it's here I find that my camera is just a bit too big.
That is unless I am doing something wrong. The camera is a Nikon D300S
@@seannot-telling9806 It should not be what lens are you using with the camera?
@@MediaUnlocked I think I found what my issue is. The modle I have is not the 2 but is in fact the V2. Camera is a T3i with an EFS 18~55
I highly recommend when balancing the back axle, lift the camera in your hand. That reduces the strain on the motor and no more elbow grease!
Excellent video, very methodical and easy to understand. Zhiyun should hire you for doing their videos.
Thanks!!!!
OMG. Up until today I never did the last step. Thanks for the video.
Nailed it. Zhiyun send this man a check!
Thanks

I thank you so much for this video. What I don't understand is why don't they, as a company put out these very helpful instructional videos?
Well done, ordered one yesterday and appreciate the video!
Thank you so much for this video, I really needed to watch a video and this was perfect video to stabilize my Sony A7III with Sigma 24-70mm lens.
Thank you soo much for this great video, i couldn’t use my gimbal you make it so easy for me.
Nice video thanks Sooo much, straight forward and to the point, do you have a video for the correct cable set up for the sony A7iii
I do not.
Just purchased this but only have an entry level DSLR Nikon D3500, do you think this will work ok I have a wide angel lens also, let me know please, great set up video
Thank you. I think this video might still help with Ronin gimbals too.

There is a 1/4 screw hole on the bottom of the gimbal, so you can use any tripod with the same size screw.
Best balacing video imo.
Thank you sir the knowledge i was searching i got is this video . One thing more sir Roll axis will work on it if we balanced crane 2 properly
Yes

omg do you need to balance each time you put a different lens? I have 35mm f2 and 16mm f1.4 and 18-55mm all different weight
Yes you do. I use 2 lenes on and can balance super fast.
Sir do we need an L mount to shoot in vertical mode???
It seems that Crane2 not support vertical shooting. Crane 2S support vertical shooting.
Great video! :-)
Thanks
I just got my crane 2. However it didn't come with the free servo follow focus as advertised.
Just email them they will get it to you. The sent it separately to me.
Thank you!

ill be getting one tomorrow. ill be using it with my A7ii. But I have a battery grip in my camera. can it still perform
Yes it should still work.
thank you
Nice bro
The screw that is supposed to go though the mounting plate doesn't fit, how do I make it go through the slot in the mounting plate?
It should just screw through it.,
does i need a counterweight if im using A6400 with a 135mm kitlens
You should not
Can we use mobile device with this gimbal?

Yes so how setting got change with out me knowing till the edit.

Nices video and thanks
Perfect
Thank You!!
have u attached camera directly to the plate or there is another plate on the camera?
I use the plate it came with.
Does it have to be on while balancing it?
No have it off
Could you tell me which motor level to use when attaching a small camera set-up like this? Hi or Low?
Low or medium
So low motor for a low weight, and high motor for high weight?
Literally been trying to balance for over an hour. I kinda hate this crane right now.
Sorry you get it figured out.
Did you ever manage to get it balanced?
It take 2 days and i still can't figure it out how to balance the roller axis motor, it stay straight but when ever i tilt it doesn't stay on the position,it always came back to the original position
haha you fucked up the shutter speed at 4:09 YA DINK! great video though I appreciate it
Do you do this while the rig is switched on or off?
CarlHarris off
