    With how natural those moves seemed, it's clear Kobe mastered his game

      Yeah he was very fundamentally sound. But jordan had tricks up his sleeve that even the most skilled veterans never saw coming.

    2:37 crazy arsenal without even putting the ball on the floor and defenders still shook with a stationary pivot! #poetryinmotion

    @jandgies Exceptional video bro, you and jaysam really BROKE down kobes trademark mechanics that to ME are better than Jordan's. Kobe added more fitness/flare and RANGE in his arsenal

    Pinch Post
    1.) Kobe as the Passer = Kobe passing to a BIG (Pau Gasol), then cut around
    2.)Kobe as the receiver = Kobe in the BIG MAN'S spot = High Post

    I'm always amazed at the sheer amount of contact these defenders got away with, and the refs turned a blind eye. When you compare these highlights to Jordan's it's pretty OBVIOUS who had the deeper bag.

    3:16 the "rocker step" is actually a travel. He established left as pivot foot but then move the left leg first.
    But NBA refs wont call it. Kobe isn't the only one who benefit from that...

    • @treythewise5937

      He dribbles before it touches the ground..........

    • @SmoothRules
      @SmoothRules 4 года назад +1

      I thought so too. Til I looked it up. It's legal so long as the ball is "on the way down/out of your hands" before the pivot foot goes back down.....

    This is to no comparison between MJ, Kobe and Kawhi. What made Kawhi Leonard lethal was when he learned this kind of footwork. Imho.

  • @barek2436
    @barek2436 6 лет назад

    That first clip 3:15 with the rocker step, isnt that a travel? He was pivoting with his left foot but picks it up before he dribbled the ball? Arent you supposed to dribble the ball first before picking up your pivot foot? Still a kobe fan though!

    • @dp4kallday
      @dp4kallday 6 лет назад

      I think if he was to do that and not attack the basket he would be called for it. It does look like a travel though.

    Kobe Bryant's movement WITHOUT THE BALL is what I wish we could see from 2020 Lebron James. 😞😞😞
    Give the ball up EARLIER IN THE SHOT CLOCK, they will give it back to you.
