- One major part of Kobe Bryant's career that rarely gets talked about is his rookie season which was filled with many challenges. None of those challenges was bigger than his heated relationship with his coach Del Harris. In this video I discuss Kobe's early years and his path from the draft, to a bench player to the legend we now see him as.

This guy’s mentality is something
True! Probably the biggest individual in a team sport since Wilt.
I mean if he gave Kobe more minutes he probably would’ve developed faster
Into what? A scorer?
Not probably,, he would've,, we've saw him in 99 developing into a top 3 player in the league from then until 2013 because he finally started getting minutes in 99,, 2000 he was a top 3 player already,, all he needed was more minutes and they would've won a ring in 98 or 99
@@king-ghost102799? He wasnt top 3 he was a role player avg 15 PPG stop it
Kobe was shooting left hand jumpers. Kobe would’ve developed faster than we saw. I’m taking West words as he said Kobe at 17 is the most developed player he ever seen.
No one’s forgot the struggles of young Kobe!
They definitely try to hide it, as well as his old struggles that somehow gets hidden away.
@@keithjoseph128 why would they try to hide it? This is the most important part of Kobe Bryant being the second best player ever is that he had to come up and work on his game constantly to become great him missing all of those three-pointers against Utah was the best thing that could’ve happened to him. Do you not understand that failure creates greatness when you’re an alpha male
@@90oftheworldisdumb3 how? He never changed. He failed multiple times with Shaq, openly admitted after he didn't care about utilizing teammates and then failed again. How is losing with the best indicate in any way that he's a top 3 Laker, let alone top two all-time?
@@keithjoseph128 how did he feel when he won two more championships after Shaquille O’Neal bro you got to be some fat kid behind a keyboard because you’ve never hooped in your life for you to say that
@@keithjoseph128 take it from a real Hooper, who is actually probably twice or like three times your age because I can’t see you being older than 15. You’ve never watched him play. You’re a guy who watches stats and looks at stats and all your decisions are based off of stats
Del Harris: "Kob, that was in 1997 man"
Kobe: "Nah, I just can't let that go!"
LOL
'Coach, it still happened'
Boy;great comments for sports enthusiasts! I became fused with Kobe and carried up and down in thie picturesque description! Keep it,Man...
As soon as you talk about Kobe in a positive light people bring up his struggles as a young player so how can we forget? 😂
I mean why not, the same goes with Jordan. Neither one of them achieved what LeBron did at 18 he was carrying a team.
@@renaldohaywood6506 What does that have to do with anything?
Lebron carried nothing at 18 Melo and Wade got their team to the playoffs you guys are always rewriting history n@@renaldohaywood6506
Excellent video, man. Nice project. Keep it going if you want to pursue this.
Thanks! 🙌
@@manlikeziyou need to do actual research, your info is wrong
At 6:10 kobe drains a shor left handed. Insane
Can you post Kobe 58pt in in 3 O.T and shot a 47 shot with lost.
17to 20 support to be in college, basketball is a men game- Phil Jackson.
Shaq to Kobe : Ay everybody is laughing at you right now but one day ppl will fear you at the end of the game 💯
Black Mamba!
4 fucking airballs, that's how you become clutch later, none of the lakers then wanted to shoot they were all afraid of the moment
it was kurt rambis FIRST before phil in the lockout shortened season, phil became coach AFTER THE LOCKOUT! this youtuber NEVER SAW THAT ERA and needs to do his damn research!
Joe Jellybean Bryant had beef with Del Harris as a athlete is why Kobe never won ROTY.
Eddie Jones was better than Kobe, Kobe wasn’t good enough didn’t play good in both years in the playoffs while jones flourished.
Prime example of the meme " It was personal ".
Lakers and their FT s 😂
How can someone get 26 ft ?!?! One player??
Del Harris is such a fucking joke
Before he was the Mamba, he was Hobe Cryant.
What do yall think he woulda developed into? A scorer? Yall act like he developed his game to become a great rebounder, or an excellent passer, or a great leader, or the defensive anchor to his teams. Kobe was the same kobe in year 1 as he was in year 19. Stop changing history!
Wat you mean same Kobe?
(+30 Year LA Lakers Fan)
9 time All NBA Defensive 1st Team (Kobe)
Kobe is one of two players in NBA history with 30k points 5k rebounds 5k Assists(Lebron)
Its the media and trolls like yourself that are attempting to brainwash people into forgetting the greatness of Kobe as a basketball player.
@@pookyman12 Again, what did he develop? Get out of your fanatical feelings
