    Kobe had to EARN his place in the league. When he was drafted nobody had any respect for someone being drafted out of high school. And the coach damn sure wasn't going to let him start over establish veterans. Lebron was given everything right out of the gate and allowed to play however he wanted and every team he has been on has adjusted to his play style and what he wanted to do. And if we are talking about pressure, when has Lebron had more pressure than Kobe did after Shaq left? Lebron had almost no real pressure to win in Cleveland, and since then he has just been on super teams, how can you talk about pressure when you are always on a team with another top 10 player? When Shaq left Kobe was on a team of scrubs and still had everyone looking to him with the express expectation that he better win without Shaq or else. If Kobe didnt win a ring without Shaq his legacy would be that he rode the bus and nothing more. But somehow Lebron gets to escape that by pairing up with other great players for every one of his championships and somehow not be called a bus rider?

Any other all time top ten player would have won more than he had. 2 of his chips are shortened seasons as well. It's pathetic he's being touted the way he is. Longevity because he stands around on defense at age 30. He gave up winning for stats.
      Kobe in 2012-13 showed why he is the better player than lebron. Sacrificed himself to get the team to the playoffs. Lebron faked a foot injury last season to avoid ridicule and his team without him brought them back into playoff contention. I can't put lebron in the top ten anymore. The longer his career goes the worse it gets for him.

    As a diehard, Kobe fan, I can’t make the argument. He’s the goat, he’s not better than Michael Jordan, but you’ll never convince me. LeBron was better than Kobe. I give LeBron credit in the longevity department because he deserves that.
    But I watch Kobe in the Western Conference the same time LeBron was in the Eastern conference and all those 50+ win teams. Kobe went through in two 2009 in 2010, it’s actually more 50+ win teams than Magic Johnson faced his entire career, and the only help he had was one other All-Star in Gasol back to back championships.
    Meanwhile, LeBron, in an eastern conference by comparison is about a quarter, as competitive as the west and LeBron can’t get past the White Howard, and he’s on a super team.
    I’m so sick of the Kobe disrespect because it’s just gotten out of hand. I’ll never be mad at anyone for not having him as the goat because even though he’s my favorite player even I can’t put him there but I remember the 2000s very well I was watching the NBA then more than any other time I was watching ESPN, or listening to ESPN radio every day throughout that decade , and I remember the way people talked about Kobe. Calling coward, Stephen, a Smith, Skip Bayless, all of these guys were calling Kobe the best player in the league. Even Shaquille O’Neal and LeBron James said back, then Kobe was the best player in the league. Like if you don’t have him ranked in your top three OK whatever but now the argument is Kobe was just some guy who was “nice” you may have heard of before? This bullshit has to stop and I’m glad to see former players and certain other people in NBA media that don’t have a platform near the size of anyone associated with clutch sports finally saying they’ve had enough because the man isn’t even here to defend himself anymore. This is some coward little girl shit coming from clutch sports/ESPN.

      @twilitezn 10 месяцев назад

      TRUTH.
      The argument I give with Kobe and Lebron is what I perceive to be their “flaw” :
      Kobe : always went all out, laser focus, high output ceiling, never really paced himself; played EVERY minute like it was the last 3 minutes of Game 7 of the NBA Finals.
      Lebron : always paces himself, very broad focus, high output floor, plays every minute like it’s the first 3 minutes of a regular season game.
      It’s a generalization, but give them both equal, very good - not great - teammates, and Lebron will probably give you constant results, but I think that Kobe’s peaks would be higher…

    Great Program Uncut Hoops!.... Pressure-Smesher...LBJ came onto a bad team, in a down conference; Kobe played on a team that had proven all-star caliber guards like Eddie Johnson and Nick "at-Night" Van Excel along w-all the vets, he had to earn his minutes, had to learn/earn his way onto the court; to improve his skills on a championship contender, in a much more Defensive era, in a better Conference for all of 2000-2021 for the most part... in all his Championship runs w-Shaq your could give O'Neal the edge as better;
    However Goku and Vegeeta better than Basketball analogy,. Wins in 2002 and 2003 more Captain America v Iron Man--> who leads the Avengers..2008-2010 though he would go only 2 for 3 he did his best impression of MJ-scoring above 30 w-not one teammate scoring more than 19pts per game.... LBJ should be compared size, dribbling agility, other skills to Karl Malone/Grant Hill/Scottie Pippen...
