The Kobe saved LeBron narrative is a complete fabrication and even Coach K's own book exposes it as such:
"LeBron James told US Olympic basketball coach Mike Krzyzewski to “fix that motherf***er” Kobe Bryant - inspiring the Duke coach to take action - after the Lakers legend played selfishly in the lead-up to the 2008 Summer Games in Beijing, according to an excerpt from the new book on Krzyzewski’s career by New York Post sports columnist Ian O’Connor."
In an exhibition victory over Australia in Shanghai - New York Post sports columnist Ian O’Connor reports in his new book “Coach K: The Rise and Reign of Mike Krzyzewski” - Bryant took some low-percentage shots that didn’t fit the team-first culture Krzyzewski was trying to install.
The Duke coach was trying to ensure the Americans didn’t relive their disastrous Olympic experience in Athens four years earlier under then-Detroit Pistons coach Larry Brown.
      Players noticed, including James.
“Everyone knew it,” one Team USA staffer says in the book. “They know when another player is being selfish. Players can police themselves, but in this instance, as LeBron was coming out of the game, he said to Mike, ‘Yo, Coach, you’d better fix that motherf***er,’ as he walked by. He was talking about Kobe.”
The following morning, before leaving Shanghai, Krzyzewski asked the Lakers’ three-time NBA champ for a private meeting.
“Coach was nervous,” says one of his staffers. “He knew he had to do it.”
Krzyzewski had grown close to Bryant over the years and nearly left Duke in 2004 to coach him in Los Angeles.
When they met in a room, Krzyzewski pulled out a laptop, showed Bryant video examples of his poor judgment, and called some of his field-goal attempts “bulls*** shots,” before telling him, “There has to be more movement.”
“Bryant just looked right at him and said, ‘I got it, Coach. I got it. Don’t worry about it. Sorry about that,’” a team source told O’Connor.
The US would go on to win its first of three Olympic gold medals under Krzyzewski who, at 75, is now in his 42nd and final season at Duke.
O’Connor reports on the early tension that existed in the Coach K-LeBron relationship. On one bus ride to a shootaround practice, James was heard complaining that the session was unnecessary.
“If you lose LeBron, you lose the whole enterprise,” one Team USA staffer said. “You can’t have LeBron doing that. They get off the bus and Coach K pulls him aside immediately and says, ‘Look, you have to trust that I’ll never ask you to do something I don’t feel is important. I’m not going to wear you guys out, or put you in a bad situation. You have to trust that we’re doing this for the right reasons’.”
For that staffer, it was a revelatory moment.
“Along the way I always thought to myself, ‘That’s probably the first time LeBron James has been talked to that way,’” they said.
Fit that into your mythical narrative, Kobe Fanboys!

    • @Romanus-
      @Romanus- Год назад

@@iamtheonlywilly this is what every sport in the modern era does. In order to try and increase viewership you try and convince fans that they are currently watching the greatest player to ever play the sport. It makes fans feel like they shouldn’t ever miss watching a game because they’d miss watching “the GOAT” in real time. That garners more interest from fans, which intern garners more revenue from television, ticket, sales, etc. It’s a fundamental metric of every sport in this country. Think about how many times you’ve heard about a player today being the greatest ever or is going to be the greatest ever? Look a football, Brady is clearly the GOAT but as soon as he retired now they are trying to start the debate that Mahomes will surpass Brady and become the new “GOAT”. Nevermind that he’s only won 2 super bowls to Brady’s 7 and there were some very questionable calls that just so happened to lead to KC winning, that is what’s needed to create the narrative. Then the sports debate shows will push it, then RUclipsrs. in 10-15 years when the people that are most active online(young people) will say Mahomes is the GOAT because that’s what they are told and they never watched Brady in real time so they’ll believe it. Most people are incredibly suggestible. All you have to do is convince them that a certain opinion is the most widely held opinion among the populace, and the vast majority of people won’t ever question it as they feel they would be in the minority, and therefore incorrect. You combine that with a 24/7 mass media machine and the fact you only have seen Brady from highlight videos and you’re conviction to the narrative you’ve been fed is unshakable. That’s how propaganda works for politics, and it’s no different for sports or business. The bottom line is the vast majority of the population forms their worldview or opinion, on a specific matter based on what they hear most often from the people they are told are most credible. If you study psychology, you’ll realize that it’s truly scary how easy the average person can be convinced of almost anything with enough good propaganda and a society that is designed to discourage independent thought or contrarian beliefs. For sports, the goat debate is the industries most useful and effective propaganda to generate revenue. It’s a manufactured debate that will go on for eternity because these sports entities know that that’s how they can make more money.

2018-19 lakers were 20-14 when LeBron James got injured on Christmas day.
As you can see When LeBron James joins a team, the team improves more than Michael Jordan and when LeBron James leaves a team, the team always goes into the tank.
Michael Jordan, excluding the 94-97 seasons, when the NBA moved the three point line to 22 feet, was a career 28% three point shooter. LeBron James is a career 34% three point shooter
Michael Jordan was a great defensive player, in an Era where you could handcheck. Playing defense is much easier when you can handcheck. For nearly 6'9 250 LeBron James' entire career he wasn't afforded the opportunity to handcheck.
THE EVIDENCE IS CLEAR..LEBRON JAMES IS THE GOAT!!!!!
      I have added a Postscript
So many have replied, that LeBron james didn't make the playoffs his first two years and Jordan did. What they fail to say is, in 1985, 16 of 23 teams made the playoffs. In 2004, 16 of 29 teams made the playoffs. It was MUCH EASIER Making the playoffs in 1985. Oscar worthy work as usual. 5 Stars. 🔥🔥🔥🔥 You bring nothing but FACTS.
Allow me to rant for a second. Why doesn't ANYBODY talk about Lebron's flagrant steroid use?
LeEPO (or should I call him LeHGH) has been taking EPO and HGH for at LEAST a decade. Biogenesis, Tony Bosch, the same guys that ended Ryan Braun's and Alex Rodriguez's career for steroids, had Bron as a premium client. Rich Paul (and Bron's) name were found on a ledger seized by the FBI during a raid on Biogensis. Jameer Nelson's name was found on that ledger too and, if im not mistaken, he was busted for PEDs too.
And then Chael Sonnen, at the RISK OF A MULTIMILLION DOLLAR DEFAMATION SUIT, claims CATEGORICALLY that Lebron gets his EPO (one of the 3 most powerful PEDs known to man, alongside HGH) from Sonnens own doctor/biochemist. That's a HUGE allegation and if this were the 90s or early 2000s, that accusation alone would've torpedoed LeSteroids entire legacy - which is predicated on having a very long prime and longevity. That EXTENDED prime and LONGEVITY wouldn't be possible would the artificial aid of PEDs. Period.
Lebron James is a FRAUD. Never better than Kobe. Never better than Bird. Never better than Duncan. Never better than Magic.
CRIMINALLY, and I mean CRIMINALLY, overrated.
Why hasn't ESPN touched the Chael Sonnen allegations the same way they dealt with the BALCO allegations against Bonds? It's laughable. The MLB blackballed Bonds while the NBA swept LeSwept's steroid accusations under the rug TWICE now.
Dude is a fraud and I'm glad people are seeing that now. He wants to be MJ/Kobe soooooo badly but he will never get that love from REAL fans. I think he is in for a rude awakening the year he retires and expects a farewell tour in every arena.
No player of his caliber has EVER been booed at the Super Bowl the way Lebron was Booed 😂😂😂😂. That's a preview of things to come unless Adam Silver, as usual like he did with the insane Draymond Green suspension in game 5 of the 2016 Finals, puts his finger on the scale.
LeSteroids is being protected by his Klutch Sports affiliates in the media.
Please Skap Attack, do an episode on the TWO PED accusations:
    1. Biogenesis, Tony Bosch, and the ledger (corroborated by the SUPER SKETCHY weight loss in 2014 that was so JARRING the freaking Wall Street Journal, hardly know for Sports, WROTE AN ARTICLE, almost tongue in cheek, bringing attention to Lebron's "Keto diet" and his "startling weight loss" of 60lbs 😂🤣). Also point out how it wasn't until Chris Paul, Lebron's close friend, was head of the NBAPA that during the collective bargaining agreement he INSISTED on mitigation measures for players getting drug tested for PEDs. I believe the rules bargained that players couldn't get tested randomly and that they could only get tested twice a year or something. The NBA's PED testing program is a JOKE (but Lebron did strangely lose 60lbs right before they started testing for HGH).
    2. Chael Sonnen stated ON THE RECORD (on Andrew Schultz Flagrant 2 Podcast) that Lebron takes EPO (and hinted that he also takes HGH too). The Biogenesis lab, btw, was known for peddling HGH so it aligns with the known facts. Chael Sonnen, at the risk of a DEFAMATION LAW SUIT, and the risk of death threats from Bron fans, has claimed CATEGORICALLY that Lebron James takes EPO, a known PED.
This is a BIG DEAL especially when Lebron's whole legacy is based on an elongated prime - which clearly has been aided by PEDs, and not "genetics."

"We got to be a 'no excuse' team. What I mean is, it's going to be us against the world and we got to look at it that way. We can't blame the refs, we can't blame the crowd, we can't blame anything else on anybody. We are in a position right now where we control our own destiny. I know I'm guilty of this sometimes: I sit at home and say, 'If I had Dwight Howard on my team or if I had Carlos Boozer on my team or if I had Chris Paul as my point guard I would win an NBA championship.' So what's my excuse now? I got all y'all on this team, so what's my excuse now? Do we all have an excuse? We don't. This is everything that we always dreamed of, of having that guy next to you and winning something. I'm excited and I know you guys are. This is what I've always wanted, playing alongside Carmelo Anthony, playing alongside Jason, playing with Kobe. I don't have no excuse now--none of us."

Kobe should have also won the MVP in 2003. 1st team all defense, 1st team all NBA, Avg 30/7/6 and had the twin scoring streaks of nine 40pt games and thirteen straight 35pt games while Shaq was hurt. Kobe's the only player NOT NAMED Wilt Chamberlain to AVERAGE 40 ppg in THREE SEPARATE months in his career. MJ NEVER did this. Not even once. His highest was 39ppg in a month in the 1988 season. Nobody's even CAME CLOSE other than MJ in 1988.
It is simply amazing that in the history of the NBA only 3 players averaged 40 for a whole month: Wilt (who dit it 11 times and was the last one before Kobe), Elgin Baylor (one time) and Kobe Bryant (four times). Think of all the great scorers we've had in the last 44 years (Kareem, Dantley, Jordan, KD, Curry, AI, Shaq, T-Mac, etc) and none of them besides Kobe "Never The Best Player In The League" (according to his BRAIN-DEAD haters) was able to do this. Anyway, here are Kobe's averages in those 4 months:
    February 2003 - 40.6/4.9/3.6 on 47.2/42.9/84.6 (58.4 TS%)
    January 2006 - 43.4/5.6/4.1 on 47.0/39.7/89.7 (61.1 TS%)
    April 2006 - 41.6/5.5/3.6 on 50.9/41.3/82.4 (62.1 TS%)
    March 2007 - 40.4/6.2/4.5 on 45.9/37.2/86.5 (57.5 TS%)
Michael Jordan never averaged 40 for a month. He averaged 37 and 35 in back to back seasons which is INSANE, but he NEVER averaged 40+ppg for a month. They best he did was 39ppg in 1988 for a month.

All I ever see from Lebron fans are them trying to punish Kobe for not being a point guard. Going on about Lebrons assist numbers being higher. Kobe Bryant was a shooting guard. The second greatest shooting guard in the history of basketball, and while he was never known to average large assist numbers through a season, he did go down as one of the best to ever play inside of the Triangle offense which is one of the greatest team systems in the history of basketball.
I'd rather have that guy on my team over the guy that accepted having all of his coaches run everything through him, and then blaming everything on everybody else before jumping over to another team to go team up with some other established talent to try to win easy rings. Ill take the guy that stuck with the 1 team and helped guys around him develop into better players within a real basketball system.
Lebron fans will never know anything about that because omg. Lebron James. assists, rebounds, all time scoring list. etc. omg not very many rings came from all of that. Why? its a team game. The 2007 NBA Finals pretty much made that clear when the Spurs focused on stopping Lebron from being Lebron and walked away with an easy sweep win against him.

In my opinion, LBJ has not even surpassed the greats Larry Bird and Magic. They did more in less time against greater competition. No flops, no chokes. Still LBJ is behind Tim Duncan. LBJ it's only doing more points thanks to entering the league younger as was not allowed back then, also not committing to defense but only in very few games, and then you hear his clan of commentators justifying his lack of commitment because 'he is to busy managing the offense'. MJ, KB, Stockton and some more were committed on both sides of the floor. Leflop will also do load management, but legends are not doing that.
I don't take that he is a great player, and that he gave Cleveland their only championship (along with K.Irving and K.Love), plus he has the record of most points, but he is far behind all the real legends. They were sick or injured, they completed the job and didn't complain. when the failed, they didn't use that as an excuse. Lexcuses James cannot helped, always the same thing.
Later, you'll hear his most prominent disciple at Clutch Sports mr Nick Wright saying: Oh, LBJ always does the right call. He could not be more wrong, 2023 WCF vs the Nuggets, last plays on each game, LBJ had to give the ball to AD , oh but he wanted to show off, I mean show up he is the GOAT, but only confirmed he is not clutch, he needs someone else like when he had Ray Allen, or AD, or Kyrie... he does not have the instinct and the courage to and the job himself.
And this, this... Carmelo, Duncan, Iverson, James, Wade, 3 of the NBA champions and all of the in the 75 greatest and all of them already or to be in the HOF, they could bring the gold twice. Kobe had to be there to show them how. Actually, he show them even how to focus and do real training, instead of being wasting time hanging around. KB was a true leader, a true legend, true competitor and a true killer.
Oh, and last thing... true legends are not going around demanding respect and saying I'm the GOAT, they earned the respect of everyone, including their haters.
