The debate was settled when Kobe saved Team USA, then won back-to-back Finals against the two teams that sent the "Chosen One" packing his and crawling to Miami.
When someone is gone/retired, we remember mostly the good, we dont remember the long fade aways with 2 dudes on him missing the shot. Is 44.7% shooting great?? Jordan 49.7% Bird 49.6% LeBron 50.5% a good 5% back of the greats, he was great too, they were a lil better
When lebron is retired, we will always remember his 1) stinking footwork as a travel agent 2) disgusting actings as a floppy clown 3) overpowered dunk on pillowlike defense 4) cake-choking playoffs loses 5) gangsta ganging up to form superteam and bully eastern conference And more and more
Absolute facts. Meanwhile LeBron was busy gagging on last shots or chickening out of taking them all together (aka "making the right basketball decision").
@@skap_attackfunny how often that happens with LeBron’s generation. “Ducking competition” becomes “injury” “Missing games just cause” becomes “load management.” “Finals losses” becomes “carrying bums to finals” And finally “superstars like Dwayne Wade, Ray Allen, Anthony Davis, Kyrie Irving, and Kevin Love” become “bums.”

You are the GOAT at debunking narratives. I’m a huge Kobe supporter and you’ve changed my mind on some of the criticisms I’ve had of him just as a fan. Keep doing what you’re doing bro you’ll always have a supporter in me 💪🏿
Do you think he redefined clutch time bc it made sense or because he looked at a bunch of different scenarios to find which ones Lebron was worse than Kobe then presented that scenario bc it fit the narrative? Why is scoring the only clutch thing? Why not include all of basketball stats? If the game has 2 minutes left and its one possession difference it's clutch, but if it's a 4 point game it's no longer clutch to score then?
Man I miss Kobe. I wish he was still around and at least didn't go the way he did. He will always be my favorite NBA player, my childhood hero superstar.
As a Rockets fan, Kobe ripped my heart out so many times, I just started saying - thank you 😂 couldn’t even be mad anymore - just start slow clapping 😂
Those who actually watched Kobe play and compete knew how great Kobe was. I’ll take Kobe to take the last shot every time over LeBron James who is scared to death of late game free throw’s.
Kobe Bryant’s CLUTCH resume is ❄️ 🔸Most Game Winners in NBA history (38) 🔸Most Game Winners in a season (7) 🔸Most Q4 points in a season (715 pts) 🔸Most OT points in history (415 pts) 🔸Highest Q4 PPG (7.4 ppg) 🔸Most 20 pt Q4 all-time (11)Highest Q4 PPG (7.4 ppg)
Man, honestly, no exaggeration, this is one of the best basketball videos I've ever watched. Not only because it tells the whole truth the media is trying to hide. It's because you actually went in detail with all the aspects of clutch moments. Which it's the difference between losing against Portland and Sacramento or the Spurs, or winning 5 rings. My perception of the Kobe and Shaq situation is more and more clear now.
As a LeBron’s fan, I watch ESPN and I don’t care about this. When I say Lebron is clutchest, he is no matter what. People say I am blind but I am not. 😂
He’s not better than Lebron. And don’t bring up finals because Lebron has more finals mvps. He never had Shaq. Non of lebrons teammates were better than Shaq.
The way I see it is, Kobe, Jordan, and a select few are winners. Being a winner is something that is hard to quantify but you know it when you see it. I think this channel does a great job of providing facts to back up this philosophy, but, even with facts it's hard to explain how much a difference someone like Kobe made when he was on the court. I'd add, part of being a winner is losing. Jordan, Kobe, and others lost all the time and had to figure out how to overcome. As a result, they were able to find a way to be better when it mattered most. Despite the odds. LeBron does not do this. Every time he loses, there's always an excuse. He was hurt, he didn't have enough help, he was facing a super team, etc. Not only that, he's constantly having to "remind" us of how great he is. His work should speak for itself. He's never fit the criteria of a winner in my mind and I think a lot of people are sick of his tactics. In the end, his legacy will have more to do with turning people away from basketball than all the stats he accumulated over a very long career.
There are guys who are there without the same success in those big games. Guys you need to look past the winning numbers to realize they carried inferior teams who underperformed in the clutch and the only person playing like a winner was the main guy. Hakeem and Wilt are top tier guys that didn't win anywhere near their talent level because of the teams they played on.
@@SDesWriterWilt had a Lakers superteam with West and Baylor though and still lost to the Celtics in 7 games. Bill Russell said "Those f**** [Lakers victory balloons] are staying up!" and they did.
I've felt like this for a long. I haven't seen anything too special about LeBron other than his size, longevity and how the rules to make his career special. Not even to mention MJ, but I would take Magic, Bird, Kobe, Barkley, Hakeem, Kareem, Ewing, and Duncan if they were my first choice over LeBron every time. As you stated, these are winners.
When they look in the dictionary for clutch, Kobe's name should automatically be there. I saw him make some Unbelievable Clutch shots that were just mind-boggling... Thank you for this video 💜💛🐍

Well, no surprise to that. Kobe was double, triple or quad teamed by his opponents in the playoffs. Because they know how lethal he is in clutch since 2001. If you've seen the playoffs that year, the Spurs got Sean Elliot, Terry Porter, Dave and TD when he attacks the rim but damn! Kobe made like 6 dunks on them. Would I take LeBron James over Rick Fox when it comes to clutch? No.... would I take LeBron James over Paul Pierce when it comes to clutch? ...No Would I pick LeBron James over Allen Iverson in clutch moments? No So why are we comparing LeBron James to some of the greatest of all time?
That is a VERY fair question. But I don't make the narratives--I just destroy the garbage ones--like the LeBron is "clutch" commentary that is floating around the interwebs....
I'd agree. I've watched LeBron's career since 2010 and while he does have some great game-winners himself, I wouldn't take him over Jordan, Bird, Kareem, Kobe, Kyrie, Dame, Reggie Miller, Robert Horry, Steve Kerr, Ray Allen, or Paul Pierce if I needed one last shot to win it. I would have added Curry to the list but he's something like 0-8 in the postseason.
And in these 2 most recent regular seasons, DeAron Fox has been the best end of 4th quarter scorer when it comes to points scored and efficiency. If Fox keeps this up, he may be in the conversation of all-time clutch scorers.
Was about to call this a garbage video when I thought you were only going to focus on the last 5 minutes, ha. I personally HATE that definition of "clutch", because it's not even the last 10% of the entire game yet, and the real psychological factors haven't really set in yet. Glad you drilled down. Lebron is mindblowingly bad when it counts.
Let me begin by saying that this man having 20,000 subscribers is RUclips personally blocking him because he speaks the real on Lego James. Secondly, his continent is way too superb for the Low count of subscribers. I see subscribers on RUclips channels that are mediocre as hell and this man has a third of what they rocking with even though his content is 10 times better stop playing with this man content he’s on the honest path and they don’t like it
How is this even a debate, Kobe is clearly a better player than LeBron. LeBron has chased super teams, been a stat padder, played in the weak ass Eastern conference, his whole career, and literally should be 2-8 in Finals. It’s a no contest, Kobe any day over LeBron.
Great video you know it’s a shame that people today just can’t be honest you can have your favorite players and there’s nothing wrong with that but to diminish Kobe‘s career is just sad! We never did this growing up. We love, Dr. J, and when people like Michael Jordan came along, we never tried to crap Julius Erving we didn’t talk about any defaults in his game or lack of winning multiple rings or his teammates. We just gave the props to the person that deserved it being MJ.
it is really a shame and what i hate as a long time laker since 1984 is the way they did this, it wasn't only the media but this is everyone the league david stern, adam silver, the owners of the league specially pop, cavs owner, mark cuban etc.. this was a huge collected effort on diminishing but destroying kobes legacy and only base kobes downfall on fg% which there is different stats which like this guy keeps exposing and if you do your research kobe was almost on par next to mj and bird and the greatest players to play the game.
Another interesting metric would be difficulty/distance of shots and turnovers. (I remember MJ having to heave several prayers at the buzzer in the 98 playoffs and Finals.) Also times passing up the shot or letting someone else cook. :)
Subscribed. I think Lebron is 0 for 7 in finals game winners also. Another overlooked stat. Love how you addressed Kyrie being so clutch. He "only" averages 27 and 29 points in the 2016 and 2017 Finals.🤣 Kobe was so clutch yet people forget.
My man! Welcome on board, I am glad to have you...and agreed. Kyrie was doing the heavy lifting in clutch time in 2016, like Kobe was doing it in the early 2000s with Shaq.
@@skap_attack U sure mate? Kyrie was doing the heavy clutch? okay lets compare 27.1 ppg during the 2016 finals, while lebron 29.7, i dont think kyrie was doing the heavy lifting, prolly they are both equal, since without lebrons clutch block kyrie wouldn't make the decision to shoot the 3
What's more klutch is the sponsored sports media with their LeXcuses and constant B.S. For example: "Everybody knows Lebron is a 4th quarter guy" - R. Jefferson "We have to give credit to Lebron for taking Rui under his wing" - Doris B. (on Rui's 1st game with the Lakers where he was playing good).
LeBron should be applauded for staying healthy and having a long and consistent career. With that being said why you think Kyrie made that comment about "having someone to pass the ball to" when he left Cleveland. LeBron has 0 bag. When times get rough players have moves, mid range, post moves they use to get a bucket its needed most. Lebron has drive hard to basket. Thats it, youre LYING if you say otherwise. If you collapse in the paint then its done, hes passing. You know damn well if you're in the other team that LeBron taking a last minute perimeter jumpshot is what you want.
Just discovered your channel. It’s a breath of fresh air. The constant Lebron adulation is one of the reasons I steered away from the Klutch-infested mainstream sports media.
KoBE degree of difficulty clutch are unstoppable forces.. LeBron can’t even hit midrange shots or free throw.. all he does either kick out to his open man…. He scared to shoots.. That why he pass the ball 🏀 majority of the time…. That facts…

Just a role player like Kemp but overall piece to a winning association
There are guys who are there without the same success in those big games. Guys you need to look past the winning numbers to realize they carried inferior teams who underperformed in the clutch and the only person playing like a winner was the main guy. Hakeem and Wilt are top tier guys that didn't win anywhere near their talent level because of the teams they played on.

You Gina would need to actually have watched Shaq's career to have any idea what you are saying..
Funny though..
This comment section is full of "Kobe had Shaq to spread defense"..
Funny...I seen Kobe making his rep making RIDICULOUS shots whilst being double teamed.
Same people don't notice the fact Lebron usually has MULTIPLE offensive threats on his team's and esp in later years, LEFT WIDE OPEN most of the time.
Sorry, I'm on phone laptop is currently banned for saying we should keep out of others wars and criticizing the emotional FEMeanNISED society) and it Auto corrected ..

Shaq did indeed carry Kobe, there are 48 min or more in a game. most games didnt need a clutch moment
@@kkevinj1 Penny and Horace were a great supporting cast, couldn't win with them
From 92 when he joined the league all we heard "unstoppable, most dominant force" but his record only really backed it up when he joined forces with Kobe.
Just like Lebron, Shaq was more hype than results.
YES, he was a force that often needed double teaming, but when both players averaging in 20s, that's a team effort, not carrying.
Oh, and Hakeem usually EMBARRASSED him.
My boy Manu too me, was the man, but Kobe will always have my respect. I miss his drive. The commitment to himself and his art; basketball.

Lebron is the second greatest player in nba history, Kobe is in the 5 to 7 range behind Kareem, Bill Russell and Magic for sure. Most people believe that including most nba players. Doesn’t matter how mad you get over it, doesn’t change the facts or empirical evidence. The only person in nba history comparable to MJ is Lebron, he’s the only one that even comes close, especially in the playoffs if you look at their advanced metrics. Kobe isn’t even close, he was a pretty inefficient shooter. Kobe was basically like MJ but 10% less efficient and slightly worse on defense

During the final minute of games, opposing teams would often double Kobe to prevent him from getting a shot off. They feared him. His excuisite isolation game and fierce mental focus was too deadly, You can smell it. If you're the opposing team, you can just feel he's going to put you out if you don't double him.
In comparison, opponents never feared lebron during clutch times because he never gave them a reason to be. He often just drive and kick out to escape blame.

It’s funny how people say lebron is more clutch while also saying he always makes the right play at the end of games. Passing the ball to a worse player for the shot isn’t clutch lol. The player making the shot is clutch. Not the player who passes it
I think a pass can be clutch as well. But it depends. Larry stealing the ball from an inbound pass from Isiah, then passing to Larry Johnson is clutch. Lebron passing the ball to Bosh because he's choking is not, lol.

im a casual nba fan and i already know that kobe is not a top 5 player at all. hes great but not on the same level as bron or mj. the gap between lebron and mj is closer than the gap between lebron and the next person in the goat list. idk how you can be so wrong when it comes to a sport you mfs care about so much, im not even a hard core nba fan and know that you mfs are objectively incorrect lmao.

Would I take LeBron James over Rick Fox when it comes to clutch? No.... would I take LeBron James over Paul Pierce when it comes to clutch? ...No Would I pick LeBron James over Allen Iverson in clutch moments? No
So why are we comparing LeBron James to some of the greatest of all time?
That's your opinion. 😁😁😁
Pierce lit up bron plenty
That is a VERY fair question. But I don't make the narratives--I just destroy the garbage ones--like the LeBron is "clutch" commentary that is floating around the interwebs....
You just hate lebron no facts in your comment sorry brother
@skap_attack you don't destroy anything but your own credibility w bias
Bron not even top 5 as far as clutch goes.
FACTS 💯
Thanks for the video in giving justice to Kobe's legacy... RIP Black Mamba, you are still very much missed 😢
If is always a pleasure to hear how Skap deconstructs LeBum atom by atom.
LeChoke.
I see subscribers on RUclips channels that are mediocre as hell and this man has a third of what they rocking with even though his content is 10 times better stop playing with this man content he’s on the honest path and they don’t like it
This is the stuff I like right here. Lets stay here moving forward
Kobe was at a completely different level than Lebron. I saw Kobe play over 1000 games, there is no comparison. Kobe all day everyday.
Averaging 27 7 & 7 for 21 years is a legacy stat too?
it is really a shame and what i hate as a long time laker since 1984 is the way they did this, it wasn't only the media but this is everyone the league david stern, adam silver, the owners of the league specially pop, cavs owner, mark cuban etc.. this was a huge collected effort on diminishing but destroying kobes legacy and only base kobes downfall on fg% which there is different stats which like this guy keeps exposing and if you do your research kobe was almost on par next to mj and bird and the greatest players to play the game.
@@ohhhyeahhh1174 I love Kobe but why do you guys ignore stats he shot 45% from the field
Someone show LeShannon Sharpe this video and watch him crumble like a cookie 😂
I appreciate your Kobe Bryant videos so much he deserves his flowers and respect the bean was and still is the 🐐
Another interesting metric would be difficulty/distance of shots and turnovers. (I remember MJ having to heave several prayers at the buzzer in the 98 playoffs and Finals.) Also times passing up the shot or letting someone else cook. :)
I dont even follow basketball this channel just inspired me to ride for mj cause it gets people so riled up lmao
Skap you the man bro keep on keeping the truth alive.

Wow
What's more klutch is the sponsored sports media with their LeXcuses and constant B.S.
For example:
"Everybody knows Lebron is a 4th quarter guy" - R. Jefferson
"We have to give credit to Lebron for taking Rui under his wing" - Doris B. (on Rui's 1st game with the Lakers where he was playing good).
This debate has been long over. Whose name do you shout when you shoot garbage on the trash can? Yeah, it’s Kobeeeeeeeeee!
That facts…
Thanks for this video. Much appreciated!👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿
Skap, another good video topic, if you have the time, would be to compile all the All Nba, All Star, and Olympian help that these two players had during their careers. Bronsexuals would cry themselves to sleep for sure. Great video as always.
I can't get enough of this lol
I'd pay money to see lebron take an iq test under strict conditions.
HAHAHA he would never do that
If the questions are all about basketball he crushes it. Anything else though is suspect. Kobe was easily more intelligent in general, especially his mastery of languages.

Kobe is why the Lakers lost that series, he got selfish and tried forcing things in a desperate attempt to steal FMVP from Shaq.
