A huge portion of LeBron's legacy is based on him playing in the weakest conference during one of the most lop-sided stretches in NBA history where one conference was considerably stronger than the other. Jordan actually went through the more difficult conference in his career.

    • @gambitacio
      @gambitacio 8 месяцев назад +14

Don’t forget that he also joined and needed to team up with Wade and Bosh just to win too.
MJ definitely had a tougher path and Kobe spent 20 years in that tough Western conference and made it out with rings.

In Jordan's era the east was better up until 1992. As neither the Celtics nor the Pistons were title contenders anymore while teams like the Suns, Trailblazers, Rockets, Jazz, Supersonics, and even the Spurs started to dominate the NBA, alongside the Bulls. But it didn't matter as the Bulls defeated them in the finals.
But the difference was made clear in Lebron's era as he was cruising past the east while losing in 6 or less games in the finals by the Spurs, Macs, and Warriors, and even missing on the playoffs or not making it out of the conference when he moved to the west.

    • @adamm2787

I just pointed this out to somebody else.
From 2003-2018, when Lebron was in the East:
The East had 38 teams with 50 wins or more and 15 teams with 20 wins or fewer.
The West had 72 teams with 50 wins or more and 8 teams with 20 wins or fewer.
      It's not even close.

A video breakdown of how the nba now counts assist needs to be made. We always here that crap about LeBron makes teammates better just because of the amount of assists he gets. But the nba counts what a assist is vastly different than Jordan's times. In today's game guys can make a basketball move, do whatever and it still will count as a assist because he had received a pass. In Jordan's time for it to count as a assist the pass had to lead to a direct bucket. Obviously the nba changed it just to improve guys stats. There's no other reason to change that. How many more assist would Jordan have with today's standards?

    • @jordansoviet23
      @jordansoviet23 8 месяцев назад

I think the latter you said was actually being a rule in 1960s for assist scoring. In 1980s they allow a player to dribble the ball just 1 time before he shoots off a pass for an assist.

The crazy part is all Jordan needed to dominate the league and win 6 titles was literally one all star and a 35 year old Rodman who averaged 5 points. Imagine if mid-late 80’s Jordan had 2 all stars by his side against the Celtics and the Pistons? He took Birds Celtics to 6 games with not a single all star on his team, while playing against one of the best teams in nba history. Imagine just giving him even one all star who could put up 15 points a game. He’d likely have gotten at least 2-3 titles in the 80’s as you can’t tell me that a guy who almost took down some of the best teams ever assembled with not a single all star on his team would not have at the very least grabbed a few titles if he had even a borderline all star as a number 2. Give him a James Worthy or Parish level player and he add’s at least 2 rings minimum. If he had 2 other all stars with him? I’d bet the house he’d have at least 9 rings. Also imagine if he never retired and instead of missing 1 season and coming back at the end of a second he stays with the bulls and they have that additional all star. Jordan legitimately might have 10+ titles. Hell, if he was Lebron he’d prob just join Bird, win the entire mid to end of the 80’s, then go back to the bulls dominate the 90’s, then finish it off with joining up with Shaq yo add some rings as he was out of his prime. If he wanted the east way, he could have just hopped around like Lebron from super team to super team but unlike Lebron winning 3 titles and a Disney invitational he might surpass Russell who played in a league with 8 damn teams😂 The fact anyone actually thinks Lebron surpasses Jordan is a testament to how powerful the media is at shaping peoples views. They’ve got millions convinced a dude who didn’t even dominate his own era is the greatest player ever😂 But hey, don’t worry they won the “in season tournament” and literally hung a banner and popped champagne all for beating a set of teams with losing records, none of which are even close to being contenders

The fact that anyone says that this is a debate, shows how dumb they are and how they're just being stans.
If you covered the names and just presented all the arguments to someone who barely knows the NBA, just enjoys playing, it would be so open and shut, case closed.
    Why?
Because about halfway through, the barely knows NBA person would simply go like this:
"Wait a second. This guys has little to no flaws or big talking point knocks on his game and career, and this other guy has HOW many brown stains???
And omg, wait a second: you mean to tell me you're trying to say this guy,,who has played for 21 years, is BETTER than this guy with more accolades and championships in just over HALF the amount of time???
Who are these people making this an argument?
I can't Take it, you're goofing on me, you're telling me to choose the best between Kevin Duckworth and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, righ?? Hah ha I now, its 4/1/24, April F... come again? Not a joke,, this is a REAL thing people fight over??? How??
No convincing arguments for why you ain't the best, and achieved all thay glory in almost 10 less years?
What psycho or alien life new to earth is making this an argument?it's a clear cut choice! 😂😂😂"

SKAP ATTACK, man, you are the GOAT of smack on LeBron!!! LeBron is "lucky" he is in the NBA post Jordan era...Jordan had a LOT of great players to play against, starting w/ Magic/Kareem/Worthy at the Lakers, Bird/Dr. J/Wilkins/Drexler/Malone, and just as MJ solidified his mojo and Phil J put together the Dream Team for the Bulls, he had to man up against young lions like Barkley, thugs at Knicks, Gary Payton, Kevin Garnett, Shaq, David Robinson, Iverson, Kobe Bryant (who emulated MJ down to 90% plus his own moves)....

    BUT wait THERE'S MORE
Most players state "Don't trash talk Jordan or else"
Now let's look at LeChoke "turnover king"
Oh thats right NOBODY fears him, no player on Bird level in todays league has EVER said anything close about him as they did Jordan.
Remember the all stats game where kobe shut LeChoke down. LeChoke was afraid and passed ball Embrassingly away. Does that look like a goat to you?
Meanwhile Jordan hitting game winning shot he wasn't suppose to take but knew he could make as FRESHMAN to win NCAA.
Remember patterns ,past performance is a future indicator. Every step of Jordan was step to become goat, while LeChoke was a step in shadow he could never fill.....

Pistons aint even top 10 of the oldest team to win a championship. 98 bulls manage to win and they were the oldest along with 97 and 96 which are #4 and #6 respectively. Also key players to that pistons team were under 30 and in their prime especially Thomas, Rodman and Dumars. The only "old" key player was Laimbeer who was 33. COmpare to 98 bulls, MJ was 34, Pip 32, Rodman 36, Harper 34 and even Kerr was 32.

The one thing you can cover is the stats of games during Lebron's 07 run to the finals. There were several times players on that cavs team outplayed Lebron especially in that Detroit series.
Its why the media only talks about game 5. But not the game that really mattered, which was game 6. I just find it funny how his fans call his teammates bums, when those bum teammates outplayed Lebron several times including shutting Duncan down to his worse playoff performance of the year.

That 07 Cavs team was filled with solid veterans who might not be All-Stars, but they provided good leadership and outstanding effort. That Cavs team ranked 2nd in defense and 3rd in offense for the entire playoffs in 07, no other team in the eastern conference ranked in the top 5, and you don’t get top 3 in both of those categories because of 1 player, it’s a team effort there. LeBron played great in spots in those playoffs, but he also shot 42% from the field and 28% from 3 for the playoffs, he was good but nothing special.

      This a great comment
I'm sure his media clowns are working the strings somehow to corrupt this, I would like to know how it is being regulated , for real it needs to be investigated
Rick this is looking highly suspicious

31 pts, 11 ast, 6.5 reb in a playoff run. Wow. Lebron has never done that. And they say MJ couldn't and would'nt pass? I wish every LeBum fan would watch this video, and several more on your channel

The best way to actually destroy bronsexual narrative is to force all bronsexuals watch full game videos of Jordan be it regular season or the Finals.

The 06-07 Cave had dudes who could play defense and shoot 3's. A.I in the 01 finals would have loved to be on a team that can shoot 3's instead of just being really good on defense.

It's comical how the media acts like that 66-16 cavs team that was the best defense that year and was 2nd in turnovers were "bums" to elevate LeBron

You killing it as per usual, Skap! Never thought way back at the beginning of the 2003-04 season how the league would slowly but evidently be held hostage by the narratives of LeTurnover and Unclutch media. What he doesn’t seem to realize by now that he’ll never “catch that ghost in Chicago”…or the ones in the Boston rafters or those of the purple and gold (pre rigged cupcake cup tournament). The longer he plays, diluting his legacy further by each game, each loss along the way only adds even more pressure to his son to follow. All that to say, this conversation will be beaten to smithereens but MJ will always be the GOAT and LeBricklayer will _never_ be close.

      Speaking about bricks
Notice the media completely not mentioning ANYTHING about those 3 missed free throws against Memphis but the NBA yt channel made sure to damn make a video about his made 3s while he was fresh in the 1st quarter
They just straight up lying and hiding anything that will deminish this clown

what you have just posted is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever read. At no point in your rambling, incoherent post were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this conversation is now dumber for having read it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul. Pressure? Jesus Christ smh.
