      @@TheULMOnaut ummm, there's not many hakeem if u only look at kobe's fadeaway (but hakeem had fadeaway actually). the fades were more likely from jordan. yet, kobe did have footwork from hakeem, in form of a guard version. the spin, the shimmy shake. one of the kobe's signatures, which throw the ball to the board and put it back by himself again, also involved footwork in my opinion.

    Don't get me wrong Jordan is the GOAT, but Kobe had slight edge in skill with his back to the basket. Its easy to miss, but these are a lot of left handed finishes coming from a right hand shooter. Kobe could dunk or lay the ball up with ease with either hand depending what side of the rim he was on. Jordan deferred more to his turn around fade away, reverse layups with the right hand and two handed or right handed dunks with his back to the rim. People thought it such a big thing when Jordan switch hands in midair. Kobe was doing it with ease in any play he felt it necessary. Kobe arguably had the best footwork and moves in the post then anyone else we ever seen. All big men included. And yes, over MJ, LeBron, Kareem, Wilt, Duncan, and Shaq!

    Incredible how ppl can throw out advanced stats (totally valuable and useful tool when contextualized w/ film) like TS% to discredit Kobe forgetting how diff the league is today vs the majority when he played and the scheme of that offense.
    This guy was giving you elite level efficiency out of post plays on crazy high usage and he was doing so largely without any schemed or designed switches. He was getting straight buckets on his primary defender straight out of iso, all while drawing consistent doubles . We’ve all seen the constant back and froths between Kobe and greats like Battier, MWP, Bowen, Prince etc. In today’s switch heavy/high p&r style spread offenses, imagine guys like Curry, Harden, Westbrook, Kyrie, Lillard on an island against Kobe fucking Bryant...
    No, he wasn’t always as willing as he should’ve been to pass lol but again, in his era, breaking down your man in the midrange WAS the best shot or at the very least made you the baddest dude on the court. Had Kobe came up like the guys we compare him too now w/ advanced analytics alone, how can anyone argue he wouldn’t absolutely dominate on both sides of the ball, much like we see Kawhi doing today?
    Imagine Kobe in place of James Harden for example. No shade to Harden who’s been EATING btw. You’re basically getting Kawhi Leonard w/ his offensive sliders slightly higher and defensive sliders slightly lower in place of Harden who doesn’t play much defensive (understandably). For Kobe to be as great as he is, he gets way too much disrespect and false narratives from the media and fans smh. Dope video, bruh ✊🏾

    I know that all pundits want to say kobe stole jordan moves but that is not the case. Kobe all he did was enhanced all those moves and lets face it kobe faced better competition with all those wing forwards coming after jordan years. Everybody want to say he copied jordan and that is such a lazy analogy that honestly it is quite disrespectful.

  • @iJonikz
    @iJonikz 6 лет назад +53

    Difference between Jordan, Kobe, and Lebron, is that Jordan and Kobe learned how to master post move footwork as they grow older that is why they remain effective even when playing against younger athletes. Lebron is still trying to power his way to a next championship and he is not efficient enough to make another run.

      mr boo a lot of his post moves ACTUALLY come from Hakeem and working out with him. But the fade away is def MJs influence although Kobe is a better shooter than MJ was.

      Jordan shooting percentage is 49.7% while Kobe is at 45.4% plus Kobe holds the record of most missed shots in the NBA. As great as Kobe was, numbers dont lie and we know Jordan was far more graceful in playing the game. #facts

    • @4eightyvolt
      @4eightyvolt 5 лет назад +4

      Kenneth Ymbong. 1st of all. Jordan played in the era of illegal defense. Who'd he have to beat? Stockton? Stark? Jordan can just iso all day long. Kobe wishes he had such luxury. Theres a reason players hate the zone. Jordan wasn't an exception. He hated the zone. He actually said he wouldn't have had the career he had if the zone was legal in his era. 2nd If you take difficulty of shot into account (unfortunately theres no stat for that), Kobe's converts at a much higher percentage. And he's efficient too. You can't just depend exclusively on stats as a be all and end all because it lacks context.

    • @kennethymbong
      @kennethymbong 5 лет назад

      well there was this team in Detroit that Jordan had to face multiple times. Plus defense was tough in his era and I agree Kobe takes more difficult shots and still makes it in clutch situations and I admire him for that. Jordan's clutch shots looks easy because he had the talent to create space before taking his shots thus higher percentage.

    • @hibachi____
      @hibachi____ 5 лет назад +2

      There's always that "percentage guy" who reads every stats on Wikipedia and google. Stop it. Its like we've never watched any of these games. U can't compare stats when a Coach gives you a play when you can Isolate urself (mamba iso, yes it exists) and when the time is running down they automatically give Kobe the ball cause why not? He is Kobe the most clutch player in the history. Professional players and analysts already admitted that he is the clutchest player yet u, a casual fan who just watched videos on youtube claims that someone is more clutch than him. Get ur hating ass outta here 🤡🤡🤡
