@@PlumbLikeTom yeah me too when on the tools. Always got the awkward jobs because the boss knew I’d sort it. I always told workmates that if they were working with me it was the muckiest or most awkward. I used to work all day often without a break or only one as it was the way I was dragged up as an apprentice. One of our guys used to say ‘ get the end of that pipe young un, Not the 2” the 6”! That was in the days of red band pipe but you couldn’t do it with the modern API pipes as they are heavier. You can still get BS10 red band but it’s not used as much now. No wonder my knees are knackered!
Only stumbled across your channel recently Tom, but I'm loving the content. I'm working my way through your back catalogue. Real world plumbing at its best, and you are clearly a grafter, and a knowledgeable chap. Love it!
Hi Tom, another very busy day for you there, some interesting jobs and as we know blocked drain jobs are never very nice to be involved with. I hope your house was safe from the floods and all was well for you, I look forward to the next film, the iron pipe job looks like it could be interesting. Have a good week and take care mate, 👍👍👍
Thanks for the support as always Chris, my house was fine luckily, there were a few that weren't so lucky though. Hopefully the next video should be me fixing that heating leak, have a great week mate
Another tip for awkward to reach screws is attaching the screw to the screwdriver with a bit of electrical tape, its strong enough to get the thread started but still easy to get your screwdriver back out
Great video definitely the best RUclips plumber just because of the vast array of different types of plumbing and gas work you do 👍🏻 do you subcontract to Newman Moore?
Gets a bit murky when you're dealing with the interface between public and private drainage doesn't it? The waterboard boys up here are usually brand new when you get them out to a job but trying to persuade the office lot to take responsibility can be a bit of a task 😊. Happy New Year Tom, good luck for '24.
I reckon it was filled up with rainwater, that was the last manhole before the road and it was just bouncing back, thanks for watching as always mate, it is greatly appreciated
That was a good video with a veritable smorgasbord of plumbing . BTW I was just admiring your fine, worn flat cap - In the finest traditions of Fred Dibnah - he would be reet proud of you.😉
Thanks for the support as always Norman, that cap is fairly well worn in now, I did get a couple of new ones for Christmas so it might be time to change it
This one is going to need some money spending on it soon, ideally individual heating for each flat rather than a communal boiler, thanks for watching as always mate
@@PlumbLikeTom communal heating is probably a 1960's throwback. If it goes to individual flats being heated it will probably go to electric. Some blocks that have gas are being told its going to be cut off because the distribution pipework needs replacing and the network provider wont pay for it .
Much prefer the vids that include commercial boilers. Thanks for your efforts. Know that these vids take up much time and effort.
Thanks for the support as always mate, I am trying to film a bit more of the commercial stuff
You do get a wide variety of different jobs Tom .👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks for the support as always John
ohhh you get all the good jobs Tom
I seem to Mark, where's there's muck there's money though
19:06 "rod" stewart: 'we are sailing...'
We certainly were, thanks for watching mate
You do comercial, domestic breakdowns, full installs, bathrooms ! How long have you been doing it ? You dont look that old. Fairplay to you mate
I've been plumbing since I left school, I got thrown in at the deep age fairly young, thanks for watching mate
Never fail to be in awe of your expertise at such a broad range of jobs
Thanks for watching mate, I wouldn't really say I'm an expert, I just know enough to get by
I love these vids... "One thing I didn't do over Christmas was tidy my van out" nice to see real people making content.
Thanks for the support mate, it was on my to do list but I never got round to it, there's always next year
I did mine and I still had 3 different Johnson and starlet warm air thermostats
I hate working on them Johnston Starleys, I do still have my warm air on my ticket but was thinking about dropping it
Looks like you got the short straw there Tom. Another day of problem solving. Regards, Dave.
I always get the short straw Dave, thanks for watching as always

Thanks for watching mate, I'm so pleased you are enjoying the videos, plenty more to come in the future hopefully
What a busy day Tom, loads of verity, hope you’re not flooded out at home, nothing worse 🤞👍🚽 take care
Thanks for watching as always Peter, my house was just about fine, it never floods around here but the street was like a river
Happy New year
Happy New year Brain, thanks for watching
Great content again Tom 👍🏻
Thanks for the support as always Shaun 👍
Top notch mate 👏😎
Thanks for watching as always Neil 👍
Busy there indeed Tom ! The thermal imaging camera was a good call on the leak . Have a good week Tom😎
Thanks for the support as always PB, it certainly came in useful on this job, it would have been guess work without it, have a great week
Very good video Tom
Thanks for the support as always Tom, it is greatly appreciated
Lovely jobs been there on call outs
Thanks for the support as always Glyn, It is greatly appreciated
Great content Tom, really busy mate. Well done

Happy New Year Gavin, thanks for the support as always

Good tip that Tom, thanks for watching, it is greatly appreciated
I use a little bit of silicone at the tip of the screwdriver, keeps the screw in place
Nice content Tom, treat yourself for a magnetiser for your screwdriver it’ll save you using your jet blue👍🏻
Thanks for the support as always mate, I think I have one with the Wera set I have, I tend not to use it all that often though
Great content Tom,
There’s not much in plumbing that you can’t do, no bother to you taking on the big awkward jobs
👍👍🤜
Thanks for the support as always Tony, I find the awkward ones the most interesting, they get you thinking a bit
Your wearing gloves Tom. It must of been bad ……😂
You know it's bad when the gloves are out, I hate urinals to be honest, thanks for the support as always mate
I’ve had many a job like that on steam and condense
Great video definitely the best RUclips plumber just because of the vast array of different types of plumbing and gas work you do 👍🏻 do you subcontract to Newman Moore?
Thanks for watching Jake, I'm so pleased you enjoy my content. Newman Moore is my families business
Busy, Busy, Busy. 👍👍 another 51 weeks to go to year end. 😂😂
Thanks for the support as always Colin, it will go in a flash
Hi Tom busy busy busy
I like to be busy, thanks for the support as always Keith

@@PlumbLikeTom New caps may look nice but they just do not fit as well as the old faithful.😉
Thats the trouble with old heating systems . Nobody thinks about them until the pipe bursts. Landlords think they last forever. Not with iron pipe 😢

Hope your house was okay Tom, and I hope you didn’t put that pencil behind your ear afterwards 😂
Thanks for the support as always mate, my house was just about Ok, there were some people that weren't so lucky though
Urinals are always grim!
The worst part of plumbing I think, the smell gets me everytime, thanks for watching as always Paul
Watch out for asbestos I’ve just had half my lung removed with cancer Tom
I am so sorry to hear that Glyn, hopefully you are doing ok
Urinal traps are way worse than poo pipes 🤢
You are not wrong there mate, I tend to change the trap rather than clean them out where possible, thanks for watching
