You can see by his reaction that he knows he goofed. It happens to the best of them. Everybody knows Eddie knows this song like the back of his hand. It was just a brain fart.

Vedder never fails to disappoint with his awkward stage presence and his inability to learn the lyrics to the song. Yet Petty still salutes him, what a gentleman.
The Heartbreakers can come back - why not go on tour with Vedder. It's been almost 5 years now. Let's move on. No reason why a great band like Heartbreakers should no longer play. Eddiie can sing Tom's songs. Life is too short. Let's see Heartbreakers do a concert with Eddie.
