You try to move up to 6-9 to try and grab Zeev Buium (my personal top D). If you cant move up and its between Parekh > Yakemchuk at 11 for sure. Parekh has the higher ceiling with equal bust potential, Yakemchuk has several red flags the biggest being his very questionable hockey IQ. If Yakemchuk is the only the top 6 D left take a forward like Iginla/Catton/Senneke/Eiserman. Yakemchuk will not be the BPA at 11
I like the Sennecke pick. We'd have two Selke types with him and Celebrini. It would allow Warsofsky to create a shut down forward group or split them up to keep a solid two-way forward on each of the top two lines. Sennecke was my #1 choice at 14, but I didn't expect him to be there. At 11, I think the only D Man left is Yakemchuk. So, you can choose him or a forward. There should be much better forwards (relative to their position) than Defense at 11.
Honestly I feel like Grier is not done yet. I have a feeling we get another trade in the morning or during the draft. 11 is decent, but Grier wants to get a top 10 or even top 5. I could see Ferraro, the 11th and maybe a 2nd pick for the 8th or 7th pick. I feel like Utah may also be in play to trade their pick to get a roster player this season. They have plenty of future studs already.
I think Eiserman or Yakemchuk. Grabbing Eiserman, you have your potential top 6 future fanchise forwards (obviously if they all develop and everything {slim odds} goes right. But get Yak and you potentially solidify a good fwd core and a good def core.
Don’t forget Haltunen, so excited for this team… I’d say push in all the cards for a top D-man, without trading one of our recent prospects… I think Dickinson is going at 6th (Utah) or 7th (Zeev) so hard to know which guy is better such diff players… I think Yakemchuck has a bit of Petro (Alex Pierangelo) vibe to him…
I think this is the first time I’ve disagreed with your pound the table pick. Tbh, I think Zeev is going to fall to around 8, and GMMG is going to try to move up. I think trading for 11 made trading for 8 much easier. I think plan B would be to get either Eiserman, Parekh, or Yak at 11.
If the Sharks pick Eiserman at 11, that's trolling. Not even BPA at that spot if Grier wants to pick BPA. Assuming Sennecke is not in play and you want a forward, Catton > Eiserman. If the BPA is a Dman, you take one of Parekh or Yakemchuk at 11 (Buium, Levshuvnov, Dickenson, and Silayev may be gone by 11) and get a bluechip that can be a potential top pair D. Eiserman is nice but is what you'd swing for if we still stayed at 14
I feel like Sennecke takes a bigger leap of faith than Eiserman. Amazing stick handler in juniors, but every clip I’ve seen of him his arms are moving more than his legs. He has quite a bit of work to do on his skating. He’s not going to dangle anyone in the NHL if he’s skating in slow motion.
Listen, I like Sennecke well enough, but if we selected him over Catton, or any of the 6 defensemen, it would be disappointing. I do not see Sennecke in the same light as musty.
@@progsharkEiserman is the forward play at 11, but I think is gone top 10 possibly if Silayev slips… otherwise Yakemchuk is the D-man play here, imagine we packaged 11&33 for say 6th or 7th? 😮😮😮😮😮
I hope Sharks fans won't be too disappointed when they inevitably end up picking Cole Eiserman. He's a former teammate of Celebrini and is attending Boston University next season 👀
Grier is king today! Guy is killing it this week
I think they getting Cole eiserman
Great show! I might jump on the Sharks band wagon after this draft.

If we stay put and don’t move up, fuck it get eiserman to pair him with celebrini
This may not be the end of the move-ups. We need D. There will be forwards next year. This is the year to get a top D.
At #11 that's the realistic order I'd be thrilled:
Parekh>Dickinson>Sennecke>Helenius>Catton>Yakemchuk>Eiserman
Parekh no matter what
I think the Sharks new identity needs to be blazing high octane offense throwing all caution to the wind and just go high offense

Move up for 8th spot for Zeev Buium😭🦈
Doubt Buium will be available at even 8 but we can hope!
Buium is available right now at 11!!

If we gave up #11 and Ferraro and a 2nd for #7 or #8 it better be when that picks on the clock and it’s clear they can land Dickinson or Buium.
They don’t need Eiserman. They need a D-Man
Right, but reaching for a D-man is pointless. If the top guys are gone, you go best player available which Grier already said is the plan
I think Eiserman or Yakemchuk. Grabbing Eiserman, you have your potential top 6 future fanchise forwards (obviously if they all develop and everything {slim odds} goes right.

Zane Parekh, Cole Eiserman, or Yakemchuck
Sennecke would be enticing
Eklund Celebrini Sennecke
Musty Smith Zetterlund
Is an interesting top 6 mix of size skill and playmaking

Kinda want catton at 11
We suffered but survived. This is our moment!
I think Parekh is going to be a perennial Norris candidate much like Quinn Hughes and Cale Makar. I don’t think he’ll be available at 11 though.
If they stay where they are I'm guessing Yakemchuk, but if they could move up to get Buium or Dickinson, then they have their guy.
Where do u rank Zayne parekh or sennecke in our prospect pool if drafted? Curious
Behind Smith, ahead of Musty
@@LockedOnSharks thanks jd your the man ! But what about Dickinson now
I think this is the first time I’ve disagreed with your pound the table pick.

Parekh is sublimely talented, could trade a Cagnoni etc for a more solid defensive D prospect or player too
I honestly think they’ll take yakemchuck
Yakemchuk
Hope they go for Eiserman
Sennecke or Musty? Who has more upside?

If Sennecke is there @ #11 better take him,; if not then yeah Go for Yakemchuk
I’d rather have Eiserman over Yak, and Parekh over both of them
I wanna see the best D available @ 11. I don't wanna be the Leafs in 4-5 years.
Dude just relax about Sennecke, they would not trade up cuz of him! It would be either best available D or Eiserman!
Who would you be Pissed at If they picked up at 11
I was fine with Eiserman or Sennecke at 14. I would be dissatisfied if we wasted a 2nd to guarantee either of those.
@@progsharkEiserman is the forward play at 11, but I think is gone top 10 possibly if Silayev slips… otherwise Yakemchuk is the D-man play here, imagine we packaged 11&33 for say 6th or 7th? 😮😮😮😮😮

Whoever they pick I hope they hit. I just hate seeing wasted potential

THEY NEED DEFENSIVE HELP !!!
Are the Sharks interested in McGroarty. Would Musty, pick 33, and taking on a high salary dump be enough to get McGroarty
Why would we do that
No.
Musty > McGroarty
Lol musty alone would be overpayment
Imagine they trade 11+33 for 6-8 😮🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 Sam Dickinson / Zeev / Iggy Jr.
Another steal w/Dickinson!! lol
