    Yes, getting tired during boot camp is real. I was a victim of brain washing by one of the RCs. We had just started going to classes and on one of the days it was right after a meal. The RC told us he knew we just ate and after a big meal you want to sleep and to stand up if you have a problem. I had never gotten tired after eating a large meal until after he told us that. I thought to myself.. "ya, I am kind of sleepy." To this day if I have a very big meal I feel tired afterwards and it was all that RCs fault! Been checking out your vidoes and they are awesome, I love the pros - cons aspect. Your videos give me some good Navy nostalgia!

I have been running around and getting my documents ready to apply. Mr. Harris, you mentioned in one of your videos that when you are underway, you work every day. I saw a video of an LS in the navy who mentioned she went underway for 60 days. Does that mean that you as a CS would have to work every day for 60 days straight if you are under way for 60 days? Also, how many times have you gone underway and for how long each time? Thanks for taking the time to read and I hope you and your family are doing great.

It’s mother else to do but work really. It depends on the ship home many time you go out to sea it can vary weeks months days.

    Hey Dave, I want to enlist but I have been struggling making up my mind. I don't want to waiver I want to be certain so I'm trying to absorb as much information at the moment. My biggest concerns are probably quality of life, I just found out that some sailors are not even guaranteed a barracks room? Instead they live on the ship even when docked at home port, is that what's common? Also about the long stressful hours, are you always working 24/7 for the entire enlistment.. I'm the type of person that likes to balance my life, work, working out, and having some time for myself once in a while. Do you think by being this type of person I would struggle the Navy? I know it's about perspective but I want to ask for the opinion from someone who is actually enlisted.

    • @theofficialdaveharris8794
      @theofficialdaveharris8794  4 года назад +1

      Kassie A yes it’s common to no get a barracks room and live on the ship while it’s in port. Especially if that ship is about to go on deployment soon. I spent my first 6 months in the navy living on a ship then we went on deployment. You could get a place out in town but you will be paying out of pocket and won’t get paid extra for it. Whenever the ship is out to sea you will work 24/7 but whenever you are in port it’s like a regular job you will have days off and work about 8 hours a day depending on your job.

    • @theofficialdaveharris8794

    • @theofficialdaveharris8794

      Kassie A I don’t know much about FTS but what I heard is that they don’t have to go on deployment unless they want too and it’s like being active duty but without some of the BS we go though. If I was you I would go FTS. I’m thinking about going FTS myself. Plus the pay is the same as active duty and you keep all the benefits.
