Thank you to the woman in the video. We rolled up on her shop out of no where and she let us shoot and ask her questions. Seriously a sweetheart. Go support their shop when you can! Address: 540 sun valley V, Rama Cebu city Also, something about liking the video and share it with your mom.
Dude .. your literally the funniest guy and have the best food videos on RUclips. Also thanks for honoring the people in the countries your in and just being super cool with them. Shows your character and heart .. these things make your channel the best !!
I think it's weird that they serve "halo-halo" at night time there.. I'm a Filipino by the way from Manila. And here, it is served in the afternoon about 2pm to 5pm for afternoon snack (miryenda).. just saying though.. :-D
Damn that looked so refreshing!! Love all the amazing mix of different items they add. We only managed to have halo halo a few times while in The Philippines and this really makes us want to go back for me. Amazing video as always Sonny! - Thomas and Sheena
I've watched this video a few times and only now I realized that this was shot in the street where I lived back in the day. Brings back so many memories! Amazing! That stall does make very good halo-halo. No bias!
I first saw his channel maybe a year ago, and he came across to me as rude and making fun of locals, so I didn't subscribe and forgot about him. But then I saw his video with Trevor and now I subscribed. I love these kind of food and travel videos but not into rude jokes. He is not rude once you see a few of his videos, but that is the first impression you get if you see only one video.
It's mix mix Sonny. You have to mix mix. That was a good one though. No beans or corn. I don't like beans and corn in the halo halo. You need to try taho too.
In Pangasinan, we use minatamis na langka (jackfruit cooked in light syrup) instead of mango. Most of the vendors in our area also add kaong (sugar palm), sweet corn kernels, gulaman or homemade gelatine, pinipig (toasted and pounded/flattened glutinous rice), sweetened red beans, saba bananas cooked in sweet syrup, and top the whole thing with leche flan (caramel custard) and mashed purple sweet potato. Yum!
Omg I'm such a big fan. I saw you in the Food Ranger vid. Your show is so entertaining and I LOVE your sense of humor! You are so natural, fun and energetic. And thank you for not rating food; I get disappointed whenever the food I like get low score lol Please keep up what you do! Hope you visit more countries like Laos and New Zealand 😉
I subscribed to your channel right after I first watch one of your videos when you had less than 30,000subs, happy to see your channel has grown so fast and hope you reach millions of subscribers!! People like you deserve it unlike most youtubers nowadays
That's quite strange because normally halo-halo is eaten during the day especially during summer. Maybe the reason why they are selling it late in the afternoon is for the students who will be able to eat them after school or during dinner time. But I'm glad you liked it!
Local halo-halo sold in the neighborhoods, i've always loved. Yours was missing a few of the ingredients I'm used to (like pinipig (rice flakes), bananas, and sweet beans (which I usually tell the local neighborhood vendor to not include:)), but yours does look great as well!:) Ube ice cream and leche flan are fancier trimmings for halo-halo sold in restaurants:).
We have the same thing very similar in Vietnam, we call it "sương sa hột lựu" and there's another version called "chè ba màu". These two have different ingredients from each other. They both have jelly but the first one have "pomegranate seeds" and the latter has beans along with other ingredients
1:30, I still keep laughing on that scene of you doing a slow motion love thing with a background song "I Could Fall In Love With You by Martin Carlberg" 😂😂😂
Sonny halo means mix in tagalog. Thats why you not only need to mix it once, but mix it several times to bring out the best of it. halo halo halo halo halo. Anyway i hope you dont get tired on trying more asian foods. I really enjoy all of your videos. You sir earned another subscriber. :)
Sonny man, next time you are here in PH, please do try halo-halo from mang inasal and razon’s. Also these other stuff: Binatog Palitaw Fried chicken (street style) Fried baga Minute burger with strawberry smoothie Green mango with shrimp paste Siopao Pan desal Spanish bread Pan de coco Sundot kulangot Biko Ube and flan Rellenong bangus of Malabon Pancit Malabon I have more to suggest but I hope you can try them. These are classic merienda sir. Love your vids man!
Congratulations on 100k subs Sonny! Stumbled across your channel when you made that video with Kyle Le eating cobra in VN and been hanging for each new video ever since. Keep going man, love the channel.
that’s a traditional Cebuano halo-halo i guess, well I grew up with that. no ube, no flan, no ice cream. But there was monggo and banana though in addition to what was shown in the video.
After Cebu, are you still filming in the Philippines? What City? I love watching your food review! You're way too different from the the other food reviewers. More power and Enjoy the Philippines =D Please try Legazpi City. =) the food, people and scenery are one of a kind.
Hi Sonny, your the best food reviewer ever!your reaction is way so real and genuine, love it👍👏💞 ..HALO-HALO means MIX-MIX, so the right way to eat the halo-halo is to mix it very well, combine all the ingredients before u eat it😀.. So glad u enjoy eating your halo-halo, it is much better if it has UBE halaya and leche flan or ice cream on top of it.. And also, halo-halo is more easily to find during summer(to beat the heat), most of the stores in the PH have it.
Thanks for confirming that, ever since I discovered halo halo at a Filo restaurant 15+ years ago in Melbourne I've always got it as dessert every time I got to a Filo place. They consistently have ube, leche flan and sweet corn and I was wondering why this one don't have those.
We usually do not put in peanuts on halohalo. The usual ingredients are banana, sweet corn, sweetened beans, sweetened taro, sweetened ube, sweet potato, jack fruit, melon, pinipig (crispy rice), jelatine, sago and nata De coco.
I'm a constant customer of Halo-halo in Rallos-Pasil (the yellow house as you stated). You really should try there. Nothing beats it ;) Larang too. Really good in Rallos-Pasil. My relative owns it and it's been operating for more than 60 years already. A MUST TRY!
sonny you're really awesome I already watched other food review shows but yours is really unique and realistic which makes you different and great, keep going with that 😀👍
Sonny it's mostly a daytime thing, that store might have just been opening it during the night time when there are lots of people hanging out. Unlike the afternoon there would be more profit in the evening.
Sonny rarely finishes a food he started in his review. But dang. He smashed and slurped that halo-halo. Showing he really loved it. And he even wanna try one again after that. Wow. Proud pinoy
Your the first youtuber i've ever subscribed on. Love your videos made in Davao (am from there), you really got some kicks man!!!! really really dope vids.
wow thanks Sonny ... say, have you tried the "pork steamed rice"? It's a dimsum meal that's unique to Cebu City. Whenever you're in Cebu, PM me dude :)
Halohalo in Cebu is surely so much better than anywhere else in the Phils. because we usually just use real fruits. You should have mixed it well before eating though...
I think a lot of halo halo has beans..... sometimes cornflakes.... it is varied. The basic idea is the same though.... good stuff, topped with ice and evaporated milk on top.... than mix mix! Congrats on 100k subs!
Sunnnyyyy...heyyy love ur channel!!!ohh so late to checking ur video, just directed I push the button...cannot wait to see u all time....love itt!!!so entertainin
been here since the beginning under 2k subs and now 100k wow! so happy for u dude, cheers here from the philippines and oh, mix it well next time you eat halo-halo
You should have tried the Halo-Halo in melton's in Barangay Tisa top with the best siomai in cebu, Barangay Tisa is the Capital of Siomai in Cebu, also Melton's is one of the best and known Halo-Halo in Cebu
My man look for Razon's halo halo. I dont know if they have Razon's in cebu city but look for it when you're in manila. Their halo halo is so good if you're not into so much beans.
Cebu has a lot of halo-halo vendors that many of them become institutions themselves like Melton's and Monbi's. Razon's have stores here in Cebu but they're closing some of them. No stores from outside Cebu will hit the Cebuano palate unless it's extraordinary or better than Cebu's own. Cebu market is very different than most other local markets in the Philippines.
I highly recommend whatever SONNY SIDE recommends 😂 When it comes to food, I trust him w/ my life. So if he says this is the in the top 🔝10 🔟 in Cebu City - you better believe it's f****** TRUE! 💯
Bruh it's missing the ube, ube ice cream, and leche flan Or is it the native type of halo halo in cebu? Cebuanos please let me know 😂 I'm from manila so I dont't know
Everyone loves you Sony..everyone say congratulations to you..😻because your video is entertaining us and we enjoyed watching your video..we never get bored watching your video..who agree with me?anyone?

Christian Locsin i dont know if it is because of availability of the ingredients or the ownes just wanted to open their business during night time
yes.. every summer you'll see a halo-halo stand everywhere..
Creatures of the night, people usually goes out of their houses and stroll at night... and it's the only time they could relax after school or work...
Christian Locsin tanga
Same thoughts here
The woman in the video has pretty good english skills
If her Halo Halo is as good as her English, it is certainly very good.
I liked her modesty. I like this kind of vendors.
Pinoy people are fluent in english
@@Joy-uw8qk there's a lot of pinoys who don't tho
The official languages in the philippines is English and tagalog.. lol
Many Filipinos are decent in English tho

It's mix mix Sonny. You have to mix mix. That was a good one though. No beans or corn. I don't like beans and corn in the halo halo. You need to try taho too.

Honestly that lady, plus the kid and that sweet grandma.. awww I love them!
See?? Even the street vendors in ph can speak English. Mmmm so proud.
So proud of colonisation 🤨
@@nzungu7773 yeah remain in the shithole you are at. Oh ! You're replying in English ! Thanks to the colonization.
why is it supposed to be a source of pride? Multilingual nations are more common than most of us Filipinos think.

feels like a naked halo halo. it needs flan, ube ice cream, and condensed milk
It's a regular Halo Halo. The one you are talking about is the special! U
