I appreciate that foreigners try local Filipino foods. What I don’t appreciate is when my own Filipino people translate the names of Filipino dishes to English incorrectly. In this instance Papaitan. Translating Papaitan to goat poop soup is to tell you honestly, very offensive to me. My fellow kababayan Allen are you trying to tell the whole world that Filipino people eat poop? No sir we don’t. Papaitan is simply a dish with goat innards. Let me clarify, THERE IS NO POOP IN THE DISH!!! Bile yes, but no poop. Thank you for the clarification. I just want to say that whenever Filipino cooks any kind of animal intestines, any well meaning Filipino will clean the said intestines very well so there will be no poop in our food. My kababayan Allen, that is nice of you to be a guide to this foreigner, but please be mindful of translating the local names of Filipino dishes to English. Thank you. You picked bogus resource person with the male one. First he told you "balut" is eaten raw. "Balut" is boiled, salted duck egg. No one here eats it raw. Then he told you "papaitan" was made of poop?!? Maybe he eats poop. "Papaitan" is made of goat tripe. He's a dunce. It's so insulting because he is claiming untrue stuff and I am a Filipino. Disgusting.
Its not actually the poop of a goat ... Its the digested grass inside the stomach of a goat ... Its not a poop because its still inside the stomach. They squeeze the goat stomach to create the soup ( papa-itan/pina-paitan ).... Did you know that papa-itan is a very nutritious food...rich in vitamin C
It's not poop soup, misleading title. Papaitan means "bitter". The bitter taste comes from intestinal gastric juice and the sour taste comes from either the vinegar, kalamansi or kamias, depending on the region. Definitely not from shitpoop.
About 80% of the ammonia produced by industry is used in agriculture as fertilizer. Exposure to high concentrations of ammonia from swallowing ammonia solution results in corrosive damage to the mouth, throat and stomach. Ingestion of ammonia does not normally result in systemic poisoning. Will probably couse cancer aswell, so no its not healthy at all!
Jeez Filipino People! Relax! His guide was joking that it was poop soup, it says in the video that it's bile IF you bothered to watch the entire video. Video title is not clickbait because his guide used that term in a sarcastic funny way to scare Sonny and in actually fact They correctly established it's made with BILE. So chill your beans!
I agree. Ppl chill out. Plus bile is a unique ingredient that are used for some dishes to make it delicious. Also, ppl used it in the States too. Like sonny said, go in with a open heart!
I have lived in the Philippines for 5 years now and married to a Filipina, I do not eat any Filipino foods lmao. Even something as simple as spaghetti made the Filipino way taste nothing like Italian or American spaghetti sauce. Needless to say i do 99% of the cooking. But i am one of the fussiest people on the planet. So don't go by me.
But goats are vegetarians, so it's not necessarily that dirty. You're just eating bile. And it depends on the cook. The cook controls the amount of bitterness.😉😂
_Papaitan_ is actually bile. Not poop. The name literally means "something made bitter" (from the root word _pait,_ "bitter"). Still better than the _actual_ cow dung soup in China and Indochina though. haha P.S. I've never eaten _papaitan_ and never will. XD I don't even know anyone who actually likes it. It's more popular in the northern Philippines among the Ilocano people, where it is from, not in Mindanao.
@Lito Dulay Guess what the juices in those undigested grass are? Yep. Bile. When you squeeze the grass to make papaitan, you are extracting the bile. It's what makes it bitter. Gastric acid is just sour.

I'm a Filipino but you eat more exotic Filipino food than me... Hahaha! I really love your channel.

Really? As a filipino We never accept you
The breast joke is haunting me🙈🙈🙈🙉🙉🙉
You picked bogus resource person with the male one. Disgusting.
I am a 100% pure filipino living in philippines since birth but I NEVER tried to EAT THAT
Remember we are filipino but different cultures
My grandfather always eat balut , i think he is addicted.

@@vickirosstudor490 im just kidding lol
uncle roger would approve of this, lots of MSG🤣
Try pinapaitan in some part of cordillera region. They use the (material) food in the stomach for the (t...k..n) pinapaitan
Uncle Roger would definitely say... Fuiyoh!
No MSG not tasty 🙅♀️🙅♀️❎❎😅😂
😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Its not actually the poop of a goat ... Its the digested grass inside the stomach of a goat ... Its not a poop because its still inside the stomach. They squeeze the goat stomach to create the soup ( papa-itan/pina-paitan ).... Did you know that papa-itan is a very nutritious food...rich in vitamin C
When he smelled it he thought about his life and why is he doin this
"POOP" is actually wrong from your thumbnail lol😂😂 no one even crazy would ate poop. Be careful nxt time. Our foods was clean 100%
its actually goat poop
the bitter taste is actually goat saliva and the partially digested grass
@@Jundave1 oh i see.. thankyou for the info bro

@@liamgekzua477 Pwede.. kasing panghi mo😂😂😂
It's not poop soup, misleading title. Papaitan means "bitter". The bitter taste comes from intestinal gastric juice and the sour taste comes from either the vinegar, kalamansi or kamias, depending on the region. Definitely not from shitpoop.
It has a lot of ammonia so it’s really good for your health? Wtf
Gerry G. Ikr! Isn't Ammonia bad for health?
About 80% of the ammonia produced by industry is used in agriculture as fertilizer. Exposure to high concentrations of ammonia from swallowing ammonia solution results in corrosive damage to the mouth, throat and stomach. Ingestion of ammonia does not normally result in systemic poisoning. Will probably couse cancer aswell, so no its not healthy at all!
@I'm teal I am 80 yrs old and have been eating this at least once week and I am in excellent health and swim a mile every morning

Sonny was great & I loved his host, Allen, he was funny too. Loved this video!
Bile is just as disgusting.
@@tondalayakapoofnick2681 yeah maybe, but at least it's not poop 🤷🏻♀️
I'm Filipino and I'm fine with it cuz it's who I am. And never say "jeez Filipino people" again because you will offend us. Like how you offended me
MissFeFe808 Maybe u should not have put "Jeez Filipino people" because that offended me a lot since im Filipino. I wish I never saw your comment.
When the guy said "when you eat breast you will get breast better" XD HAHAHA lol
Papaitan is a common food here in the philippines. It really tasted good. I'm a ilocano here in the philippines. Its one of our delicacy
Admit the only reason u clicked the video because he eats goat poop
How did you know
But goats are vegetarians, so it's not necessarily that dirty. You're just eating bile.
And it depends on the cook. The cook controls the amount of bitterness.😉😂

He is close... exited for that :D
“Fish eggs are feeling lonely without fish sperm” had me 🤣
_Papaitan_ is actually bile. Not poop. The name literally means "something made bitter" (from the root word _pait,_ "bitter"). Still better than the _actual_ cow dung soup in China and Indochina though. haha
P.S. I've never eaten _papaitan_ and never will. XD I don't even know anyone who actually likes it. It's more popular in the northern Philippines among the Ilocano people, where it is from, not in Mindanao.
Ilocano people dont use bile on pinapaitan.we use the undigested grass from the stomach which we call “pespes”.
@Lito Dulay Guess what the juices in those undigested grass are? Yep. Bile. When you squeeze the grass to make papaitan, you are extracting the bile. It's what makes it bitter. Gastric acid is just sour.
Isnt it bile(apdo)is the one stored in the gallbladder to aid digestion?
there are some ilocano use first phase digested grass not bile......
In cagayan we use papait. The smelly one, but it gets very good when it’s done
The fish roe was dry from over cooking, I smoke it, and only half cook it so it is moist, delicious.
