_Papaitan_ is actually bile. Not poop. The name literally means "something made bitter" (from the root word _pait,_ "bitter"). Still better than the _actual_ cow dung soup in China and Indochina though. haha P.S. I've never eaten _papaitan_ and never will. XD I don't even know anyone who actually likes it. It's more popular in the northern Philippines among the Ilocano people, where it is from, not in Mindanao.
@Lito Dulay Guess what the juices in those undigested grass are? Yep. Bile. When you squeeze the grass to make papaitan, you are extracting the bile. It's what makes it bitter. Gastric acid is just sour.

Jeez Filipino People! Relax! His guide was joking that it was poop soup, it says in the video that it's bile IF you bothered to watch the entire video. Video title is not clickbait because his guide used that term in a sarcastic funny way to scare Sonny and in actually fact They correctly established it's made with BILE. So chill your beans!
I agree. Ppl chill out. Plus bile is a unique ingredient that are used for some dishes to make it delicious. Also, ppl used it in the States too. Like sonny said, go in with a open heart!
Cool Davou!. My great uncle stayed free at some resort there for four years. He didn't talk about it much. It was back in the early forties and owned and managed by the Japanese. He did say the food and customer sevice were awful.
The next time you come here in the Philippines, come here in the Cordilleras found in the northern part of the Philippines, around 6 hours away from Manila. We have a lot of unique food found here that represents our Cordilleran culture. 😋
Heck yeah! Papaitan is life! (Well.. the grass' previous life..) ..looking forward on your visit to the Northern Philippines hopefully Sonny! More power on your channel!

Msg , uncle roger will approve that 😂
Omg
This is truely interesting.
Thank you for sharing your adventure.
Very good production.
_Papaitan_ is actually bile. Not poop. The name literally means "something made bitter" (from the root word _pait,_ "bitter"). Still better than the _actual_ cow dung soup in China and Indochina though. haha
P.S. I've never eaten _papaitan_ and never will. XD I don't even know anyone who actually likes it. It's more popular in the northern Philippines among the Ilocano people, where it is from, not in Mindanao.
Ilocano people dont use bile on pinapaitan.we use the undigested grass from the stomach which we call “pespes”.
@Lito Dulay Guess what the juices in those undigested grass are? Yep. Bile. When you squeeze the grass to make papaitan, you are extracting the bile. It's what makes it bitter. Gastric acid is just sour.
Isnt it bile(apdo)is the one stored in the gallbladder to aid digestion?
there are some ilocano use first phase digested grass not bile......
In cagayan we use papait. The smelly one, but it gets very good when it’s done
Someone give that kid his own RUclips channel! I love his personality. He’s a natural!
allen: eat breast ,you get breast better,
sonny: is that true?😱
allen: (lmao) no no no.
sonny : oh,i thought i may be eating too many..
is it only me that thought of sonny's remark a bit green?🤣🤣
I can't stop replaying
Like all the others, Allen is a charmer.
I knew Sonny wouldn’t handle the bile well. He phrases it so well!
Bile is just as disgusting.
@@tondalayakapoofnick2681 yeah maybe, but at least it's not poop 🤷🏻♀️
I'm Filipino and I'm fine with it cuz it's who I am. And never say "jeez Filipino people" again because you will offend us. Like how you offended me
MissFeFe808 Maybe u should not have put "Jeez Filipino people" because that offended me a lot since im Filipino. I wish I never saw your comment.
I agree. Ppl chill out. Plus bile is a unique ingredient that are used for some dishes to make it delicious. Also, ppl used it in the States too. Like sonny said, go in with a open heart!
Hahahaha it's not a poop.. 😂
you are right.. it's a bile..
Lots of exotic food in ph 🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭
Yeah but bile is a large component of poop it's what gives it its brown color. so it's pretty close.
Wala Yan saamin no
Hindi bile, ung substance sa small intestine nya mismo un hahaha kumbaga magiging tae pa lang
Tulad nung uod kahoy bayun
in between 😂
Really love that tour guy he’s such a Down to earth guy ❤️🙂🙂
Cool Davou!. My great uncle stayed free at some resort there for four years. He didn't talk about it much. It was back in the early forties and owned and managed by the Japanese. He did say the food and customer sevice were awful.
your co-host for this episode is gold lol great video as usual sony!
The next time you come here in the Philippines, come here in the Cordilleras found in the northern part of the Philippines, around 6 hours away from Manila. We have a lot of unique food found here that represents our Cordilleran culture. 😋
Itag bungsus, tapey, pnikpikan
"open your mind and open your mouth" I love that!
No thank you😳😝
Dude this guy needs a show on travel channel immediately
"Eat breast, you get breast better" HAHAHAHAHA gonna go now and eat some breast
I see this when he told
Hey i need it too xD
I seen a juicy set at Walmart and a guy was trying hard to get them.
Heck yeah! Papaitan is life!
(Well.. the grass' previous life..)
..looking forward on your visit to the Northern Philippines hopefully Sonny! More power on your channel!
When the americans dont like some theyd simply say "hmm.. thats interesting..."
haha nailed it!
Trying to be nice, but honest. Sometimes you got to beat around the bush.
That's NOT an American thing. It's called being respectful and sensitive to other people's tastes. What should a person do, spit it in their face? Gtfoh please.
@@rogerwilliams4742 not really you dumb fuck
@@rogerwilliams4742 you wanna talk about being respectful when ur being disrespectful over a fucking joke 🙄🤦♀️
Love that kid...works well w Sonny's humor.
