Today I'm making a third, and maybe final Record Player Console, which could be slightly altered and used as a TV Stand for those interested. This is another Mid Century Modern inspired piece, maybe a little less modern and a little more Mid Century.

Chris, your videos are my favorite woodworking videos on the web. At the same time I get depressed watching them. As an aspiring weekend woodworker with little time and skill, some of these projects look rediclously out of reach. Keep it up. You do amazing work. Do the commissions, just double your price.
Thanks Anthony just look at it piece by piece. I often do these larger projects over the course of 3 weekends with nights mixed in here and there. I know the videos make it look like it takes 3 hours... but you can definitely accomplish this kind of stuff while working full time.
I'm right there with you. I just keep at it to hopefully become better and better.
Ps. Love your videos Chris!
I am glad to hear that you have found this book to be very informative and helpful for your woodworking project ruclips.net/user/postUgkxbnOKZBE4evMO5V2vroHeCjq6d_MV6wJO It sounds like you are well prepared and confident to build furniture for your house. I commend you and your friend for your enthusiasm and willingness to learn new things from this book. I hope you enjoy your woodworking journey and create some beautiful pieces.
This is gorgeous -- the angles are the icing on the cake!
look at that new logo
I decided to roll with it...no time to keep working on it, and it is less crappy than the old one :)
I really like the chamfer on the base and how the cabinet is inset from it so you can see it. Great video as always man.
AHHH! Now I understand why i like your videos so much. Its the audio. You don't have narrative while you're working - you add it in post production. This is exceptional and I think I will do the same for my videos going forward. Excellent videos - keep them coming.
Klasse Arbeit !
Your videos have the clearest explanation of process of any on the web. I love Ishitani’s videos for their simplicity and lack of talking and I love yours for their honesty and excellent explanations. Great job
Whoa that's a beautiful piece! I love the 45 degree chamfer to separate the base from the top. Awesome job Chris!
Another awesome build, Chris. Those chamfers on the legs really make the separation between the two parts stand out and look very neat.
I love everything about your videos. You've inspired me to start taking woodworking classes (I start tomorrow morning!). Thank you for sharing all of this with us.
I appreciate how you incorporated the advert over footage of doing cuts most of us understand instead of shoving 3 minutes of advertising to ff through, Also beautiful and inspiring work. thanks for sharing holmes.
Chris thank you for the inspirational artwork, very smooth walk through man.
Hello from Belgium (and sorry for my terrible english^^), just to say thanks and great works/design/arts. Its (for me) your best project at this time and i will try to reach the same quality and for that thanks again for sharing the skill and the idea, the best part of youtube 🤗
Keep up the great work Chris!
Really enjoy your format of video production. Thank you for the great content.
Thanks Brooks...appreciate it :)
Beautiful work, Chris!
#CuatroOjos
Well done Chris your designs are mind blowing keep up the good work
As always, your narrative is just as enjoyable as your handiwork!! Thank you for sharing.
10:03 absolutely love that transition! 😍😍
Thanks...been messing with a way to better show what the domino is doing. Especially for people who aren't familiar with it. It's not the most visually compelling tool, so if this spices it up a bit :) :) :)
Chris Salomone yeah, Definitely works.
Mind literally blown! Great transition!
Another fantastic project Chris. Really inspiring
A great, finely detailed piece and video. Excellent as ever, keep it up!
Epic Build!!!! Love it!!!
Hello! Good stand turned out, looks cool.
As a vinyl DJ, I can state that you are correct. We will pay a little bit more to proudly display our records and equipment.
Chris seus projetos inspiram minhas varias ideias, parabens! Admiro demais o seu trabalho!
Chris, please never lose your awesome, calm style! Your videos are so relaxing to watch. I honestly love them!
I won't :)
Awesome video Chris! You make it look so easy
Well done as always. I'm considering a similar design for myself. I like the plywood/solid wood divider idea. Certainly helps the costs AND makes the piece a little more stable (I'm not using walnut.). Thanks for the explanation and the tip on those figure eight joiners.
Very beautiful work! Love it!
For the record, another great video. It’s the perfect time of year as well to discuss scarf elasticity.
main topic of conversation at my thanksgiving table each year :)
The quality of your work is inspirational.
Another entraining and well orchestrated piece, Thank you for sharing...
Look, I don't want to gush, but… I worked at RUclips from 2010 to 2017 and I'm pretty well versed in what it has to offer. And I watch way more woodworking videos than is probably healthy. But your videos are the ones I look forward to most, and when I see a new one pop up I pretty much stop what I'm doing and watch it through. Sometimes twice. You do great work and you make great videos. Thanks for both of those things.
Thanks Jason...really appreciate that :)
Whenever you have some free time, send me a DM through instagram and give me the secret code to YT so that all my videos start getting 270M view :P
@@Foureyes.Furniture Oddly enough it's 'foureyes'
lovely video as always, thanks Chris.
Nice vid and great build👍
Your videos are so calm and sincere Dx I love it
Thank you for showing the "mistakes." It's not only heartening--but nice to see how other people repair them.
Very cool design, manufacturing and finish
Love your videos, brother! Excellent work as usual. Can I request you do a short video on how to attach/trim edge bending (do’s and dont’s, etc). I see you have plenty experience by now building pieces with veneered plywood - a segment on edge banding will be immensely helpful! Thanks again for sharing your work.
This is absolutely beautiful.
Wow, I really like this. I would love to own this unit!
For a non vinyl collector, Joe Jackson is a solid choice to put on the turntable at the end… B6 is a classic!
Your work is always amazing, would love to have a piece of furniture made by you one day! Keep up the great work its always a great inspiration.
Thanks Alexandre...much appreciated :)
You’ve inspired me so much, I’ve been watching your videos for like 3 years and it’s inspired me to make my first piece (of course it’s not as good as your stuff but I’m still proud of myself)
Really high quality editing here. I kind of can’t imagine the effort that just goes into writing and directing the videos.
It's a lot of work. I won't lie...but it's pretty fun :)
Beautiful!
Chris, this is great!! Love your work and videos!
Thanks Kathleen! Appreciate it :)
Great job Chris.
Very nice. And The Shins are awesome
I am a woodworker and I am humbled as I watch your videos. Most of the time when I watch videos, I am horrified by the lack of skill, knowledge or attention to safety. You have it all and quality filming to boot. Thank you!
This is awesome!
Yaaaaaaaaaaas! New foureyes vid to brighten up my day while I wait for this tow truck to arrive.
ouch...that doesn't sound fun. Hopefully I can make the wait a little more bearable.
Beautiful piece
your video quality is insane!!
Looks awesome Chris
Gorgeous work.
Masterpiece !!
Buenas Ideas Chris excelente tabajo !! Tienes un gusto exquisito ...
Not just an 'okay' dad, but also an 'okay' carpenter. Really enjoy your videos, thanks for sharing!
Beautiful piece, and beautiful video. I have the same World's Okayest Dad shirt! (and matching coffee cup 👍☕️) Thanks for another inspiring video.
Beautiful Piece!
Amazing video!
Another beautiful piece chris! Also I know you have done a credenza before and this is pretty similar however here in Australia we usually use a buffet cabinet in our dining area's and it would be amazing to see what you could build for a buffet cabinet :) keep up the good builds mate
Nice design and build. You make excellent videos and have found the perfect balance of subtle product placement, which I know helps pay the bills, without leaving us feeling like it's a non stop advertisement sprinkled with a bit of woodworking. Well done. Looking forward to the scarf discussion.
Thanks Scott...I really appreciate that. I try to make them as palatable as possible. I only work with brands that I legitimately feel comfortable recommending, and if there is the possibility of humor/entertainment/personality, I try to include that.
There's such a clear upward trend to the result of both the design and the execution of your pieces. It's honestly inspiring!
Thanks man. I really appreciate it.
Your photography is awsome!
Elasticity of scarves!!! Your funniest yet! I laughed out loud! As always, beautiful work. I especially like the subtle separation achieved with the chamfer bit rather than a rabbet.
Thanks Ben...appreciate it on all fronts. I like the chamfer too. Happy surprise.
Great project, I would love to see your approach/design on a bookshelf.
Awesome!
That console is beautiful.
I don't know which of the three is my favorite...that's a tough call. I really think using the chamfer between the base and upper section to mimic the angle lower on the base was the right call. That looks great!
Beautiful! I am seriously considering trying to build something similar myself.
You should go for it man :)
your ideas in furnitures are awesome
Thanks man :)
Your videos are so amazing that even the publicity is great!
I like your channel, it's different. You show your failures and also how to repair them. 👍
You are a beast with that table saw. You do cuts there I would poop myself trying. Love you, man.
haha...I don't believe that :)
very beautiful👌
Really nice, hope you do more commission pieces, you have a great foureye for design
well played Marc :)
That was a beautiful thing to watch.
Thanks Brian :)
Your videos are always so relaxing! Do you think you could do a build where you only use pine? Ive always though pine was ugly and hard to work with but I saw a cradenza made entirely out of it and it looked really good! It was only given a protective coat, no stain so that the natural look and color of pine was maintained. I thought that was dope. I wanna see YOU do it! (if you have time :)
Thanks Chloe. I have been wanting to try to do an upscale project using either poplar or pine, since those are kind of the "cheap" species that people get. Not sure when, but it'll happen.
I agree that would be nice to see as pine is inexpensive and soft to work with. I think a lot of the ugly with pine is people buying builder grade lumber and then finishing it with an oil that makes it that unpleasing yellow color.
Nice work Chris! I think this is your sweet spot as a furniture maker and content creator. Hitting on all cylinders. Speaking of cylinders, I'd like to take a moment to tell everyone about SimpliCylinder...
Excellent transitional work there :)
I dig it.
I love the shot overlay when you cut out the dominoes. Love your work.
Thanks Emily :)
What a wonderful project. Top design. Very classy. Absolutely love it. Thank you for sharing. Cheers.
Thank you very much!
@@Foureyes.Furniture All Pleasure is mine. Happy New Year.
always make a cool stuff
Interesting. Doing a joinery apprenticeship in the nineties, I pointed the owner to some fancy hardwood furniture with custom aluminium castings, and asked why we didn't make that kind of thing. He replied: "It takes so much time, the people doing that and getting in magazines make pin money". He mainly built bars and fitted kitchens.
It's nice to see things like RUclips and Patreon keeping a load of stuff going. Your work is really good Chris, and you get the audio in your videos so right too.
It is a pretty unique time and place we're in where all of this is possible. I know I'm personally very thankful :)
Thank you for the kind words!
Hi Chris
How are you?
I´m watching all your videos with projects and they are amazing, beautiful too.
I don´t work with woodwork but I´m aircraft mechanic and I love your projects.
Congratulations by your channel from Brazil
GramFam! Great video and project, Chris.
thanks man...digging the shirt
Artist ✌
Awesome work! And that old Nintendo! Love it :D
that's my go to staging piece
Love the way that chamfer turned out on the base. I know it may not line up with your aesthetic which tends to be very clean and simple (I like that too) a classic touch would have been to run a bead or some reeding along the bottom of the "Straprons". a blank surface tends to be "slippery" to the eyes in my experience and a detail there would hold the eye and draw it along the sweep of the cabinet. Plus, this gives you an excuse to use a scratch stock which is just silly amounts of fun in my opinion. Food for thought anyways and totally unnecessary as that turned out great. Great woodworking and great video as always.
Thanks Scott...I actually ended up liking the chamfer quite a bit. I thought it fit in nicely. It's funny that a chamfer is ornate by my standards. haha.
That NES was a nice touch
First: Best video yet. Some of those transitions, WOW.
Second: Your buddy's music sounds like the music from This Is Us, so I keep thinking Mandy Moore or Milo Ventimiglia are going to be at the tablesaw.
Like the work and video Chris, thank you. I also liked the t-shirt "world's okayest dad". Gave me a laugh.
Thanks Todd...yeah, my wife bought that one for me last Christmas I think. It's pretty funny, and let's be honest...I'm good, but what are the chances I'm actually the worlds "BEST" dad :P
Looks very well man as always . Marcus ,woodnmetalfab ,Belfast
Damn, that is absolutely s c h m i c k. You have such a good eye for design.
Great editing btw
Thanks :)
Love the part at 7:18 where the wood comes into focus.^^ Great video as always.
thanks! is that the part where I'm cutting on the band saw? Yeah, I set that show up so that it would end where the wood is right at that point.
👍👍👍👍👍👍very very good! Bravo! I’m italian
Vraiment cool
