  • You can build this entire coffee table with just two tools! But that doesn't mean that this is an easy woodworking project. it will still challenge you. In the video I go over everything that you should be thinking about, and a few woodworking tips to help you build this piece if you feel like giving it a shot. And if you don't, hopefully you enjoy the video anyhow :)

    I've been a hobbyist woodworker for a little over a year now. RUclips is where I get the majority of my woodworking knowledge. Your channel is teaching me about how incredibly important well thought-out designs, with attention paid to form and function, are to my projects. To any project, actually. In fact, I find that your videos are the perfect example of this balance. Thank you.

    This is doable with hand tools as well. I really like this design, great proportion and I like the use of the visible plywood laminations along with the steel legs. I wish the plywood had better cores with no gaps. Also I am an advocate of Miller Dowels they come in walnut and would have worked well on this project. Inspirational, thanks.

      Thanks Terry...I wanted walnut dowels but didn't have the time unfortuantely. I'll look into those for the future though.

    I think really what blows me away about your content, is your execution. Camera shots, scripting, music choice, ect. its just great, well made content. My dad was a professional finish carpenter, and he taught me much of what he knows, but I haven't had much experience in the field since he has been gone. Watching your videos makes me want to get back into it.

    • @Foureyes.Furniture
      @Foureyes.Furniture  7 лет назад

      Hey Robert...I've done it a couple times. Not well. Unfortunately, for me it also involves clearing out everything behind the table saw (my band saw, dust collecter, and lots of wood) in order to get the 7.5" of clearence needed.

    • @MrHeavyParty
      @MrHeavyParty 7 лет назад

      As a cabinet maker it is pretty essential and time saving to cut a full sheet, but it takes a lot of practice to get a clean cut. But if I had to move even one thing I wouldn't bother either. Hahah I'm lucky enough to have a couple saws at work and then bring it to my basement shop.

    Did you think about covering the cutting edges with vaneer? To me that would be difference between a nice table like you built it and a perfect result. I am not really shure about the dowel, first I thought that there are screws but the I saw the rest of the video and I'm not shure if I like the dowels. But I really like the idea of the beveled edges.
