This table arrived well packaged and on time. ruclips.net/user/postUgkxn94T8Mu1iMnsLCMNOI9srXSsLkI4JXKW Like another reviewer advised, I pulled everything out and made sure everything was included (everything was!). I built it alone and it took me about an hour. The color is great and for the price the lift part works well. As others have mentioned, it’s not the smoothest opening/closing, but it works. The screws do show, but I plan to order white sticker covers if that bothers us too much. Really happy with this table! UPDATE: it’s been over a year since we got this coffee table and we still love it! It gets HEAVY use as our dining table, foot rest, and school desk. Over time, the opening and closing mechanism has gotten smoother. I added a new photo with the white screw cover stickers. They blend in perfectly and make it look a little cleaner. 100% recommend!!!
Awesome book that gives you step-by-step photos ruclips.net/user/postUgkxTNB_zFBSnTo_O1PqfVUwgi7ityw0JlKt and directions to make every day project. I can see myself making a few of these projects and giving them as housewarming and holiday gifts!
Jason manages to make money while making awesome furniture for his own home, simultaneously making his wife extremely happy. Genius comes in many forms.
AND he has a lackey now. The man is living the dream!
Bet he gets laid a lot
He has beaten the final boss to being successful
@@jaymzx0has… or is… a lackey?
Released video at 8am. Says grab glass of whiskey. My kind of video already.
6 a.m. in Utah! Lol.
@@3rdEyeGnostic same in Western Canada. I was going to have coffee and Baileys but.....
Coughing out all that walnut dust after removing your mask was freaking HILARIOUS! lmfao ...
Such a dork ... in a bada$$ kind of way. :) The whiskey table is another beautiful piece.
The 1/8" shadow line is the best design inspiration I have seen on youtube. FYI, in 1966, my first furniture build was a stereo cabinet with a 9 bottle whiskey compartment. The whiskey section had front doors and a top lid that opened automatically via springs and solenoid latches. The doors could be opened by just making some sound in a microphone, i.e. the voice command of some 50 years ago.
I’m in the design process of a stereo cabinet that will utilize that line throughout a geometric pattern to conceal front doors.

I audibly gasped when the puppy came into the shot.
OMG that puppy needs to be a regular feature of your videos!
3pm... I grabbed myself a glass of whiskey and am now enjoying the video. Cheers
We are so glad you are not quitting RUclips! It is a blessing to see you each and every week with that joyful smile. We sit down every Sunday and watch your videos. In fact you have my better half wanting to move to Georgia. ❤😊
I was stressed from the first dry fit until the 31 minute mark because I was worried you weren't going to round over the top and bottom to match the end caps. Glad to know that it was eating at you too.
Me too!
Same
Haha #metoo. Wait… I don’t think I’m using that right.
Same. And when he was gluing up and those corners will STILL square, I was shaking my head. And then of course, he addresses it with the obviously best solution of trimming them perfectly. I'm beginning to think there's a method to his madness! lol
Same. I'm thinking "really, you're gonna leave those edges there". Of course...he did not disappoint.
It's currently 7:22 am. I'm not sure whiskey is the proper drink, but I can make it work.
the mouthful of walnut. now that's dedication.
Gorgeous! You could add a block or wedge in the back of those bottle compartments to tilt the necks up a bit and keep the whiskey off the corks. It would make the labels a little more visible too.
I was thinking the same thing.
You don't want the cork to dry out and deteriorate. Nothing sadder in single malt you were saving..
@@charleselkins4546 that’s more for wine the same rule does not apply to whiskey/scotch you could actually break the cork down if it sits in the liquor
I dip my cork bottoms in pure hot bee’s wax then pass them through my doweling plate to re-establish the diameter. The wax prevents breakdown and makes the corks easier to pull.
I really like the curved sides with the shadowline and have built a couple of projects with those ideas now. The major difference is I'll be filling mine with delicious rum.
OMG a PUPPY!!! So cute.
DAIRY!!!
LMAO!!! Dude, incredible build and I’m dying from the comedy. Best channel on RUclips!!
His voice is so soothing… like the Bob Ross of carpentry
Before 7 a.m and I’m told to get a whiskey.. can’t argue with that
Great job, the glasses are at the right height for the dog to .... clean
In "One" word... "Entertaining"...
Ok, Two words...
"Marvelous"... Greg
Really glad to see the strap tat keeps the drawer from sliding all the way out. I was real worried about that haha
Very nice! You could add some ramp inserts to the drawer to angle the bottles in the drawer and keep the whiskey away from the cork?
Finally! Someone that understands you are not supposed to store whiskey flat!
Just a suggestion… for the drawer slides. Make a grove in the rail that is inside the cabinet(1/4” both sides) , but stop 1/2 before the end; then make a 1/4 “ hole in the drawer 😂and insert a dowel long enough that you can remove it later if you which to remove the drawer. The dowel will ride along the grove and serve as a stopper. Hopefully I am clear as mud. 😅 I build a five drawer chest and it worked beautifully. Nothing like wooden slides to give furniture an old look and craftsmanship.
You sir, earned your like with the dust mask and a mouth full of shavings. Hilarious!
Maaannn..... that was a nicely shaped coffee mug....
That Sir, is a thing of beauty
For the alcohol drawers, if someone WAS worried about the corks, could just glue in a Triangle in the back so they were tilted up a bit in the drawers. Could help turn their labels more upwards for display purposes too maybe.
It's a sexy table though. I don't drink whisky but if I had a table like that, I may just have to start just to justify having it lol
This table made me subscribe. Seriously! It found my house and stood outside staring at me through my windows, until I hit the subscribe button. Then it just disappeared.
Pour that man a large whiskey !! Stunning work ...as usual.
Domino shmamino! I drank coffee while watching this great video, but rest assured, I'll have a glass of whiskey this afternoon to celebrate!
The supervisor!!!!cute little pup.
Wish I could find some Stagg Jr. by me haha! Amazing table. Im a welder in Chicago and watching your videos has helped out IMMENSELY in adding a softer touch to my projects.
Thanks

I'm going to make a wine table. Cheers!!!!
Great to see you in 2022. Have a great year
It’s the intro that I just love. Not only the slide and bounce and fall and crawl and tumble and so on. Also the blurb before you start the down and dirty details. Nice personal thing you have perfected
That table truly is insanely cool. Would look fab in my living room!!!
Nice thing to wake up and watch on Saturday morning.
The "spitting dust" part left me parallelized 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣.... I just love your work and your humor... Thanks a lot!
Hallo
Dein Arbeit ist einfach toll.
Deine Ruhe, Deine Präzision, Das Material.
Bei Dir würde ich sofort in die Ausbildung gehen.
Gruß
Beautiful table. Walnut looks beautiful. Shout up to the gorgeous puppy 👌
You easily have the most comprehensive videos. It’s so easy to follow along and know exactly where you are at in the project and what everything you are working on is for. Not everyone is able to make videos as well done as you. Best one out there 🙌🏻
ruclips.net/video/sxBsNEYp140/видео.html
If you like comprehensive, check out the latest video from Matt at Next Level Carpentry. There is an Easter Egg if you make it the full 2.5 hours....
@@ajaehall7695 I do like next level. But Jason’s humor is on point
@@elizabethlee6077 exactly why I can watch his videos multiple times over. Jason’s humor is so casually placed that I find my self laughing at things I feel like I shouldn’t be. I.e. in this video, his spreading glue with something “like my fingee”
@@chadhowell1328 agreed. I also love the dynamic between on camera Jason and voice over Jason. Haha
The shadow line was a new concept to me. Love the way it looks. The whole thing is sexy.
That shadow line is a beaut!
Only 20seconds in and already asking for money lol. But I love the design. I’m definitely building one. AWESOME now I’ll watch the video
The dust mask bit....made me 🤣 so much...great work👍🏻
I dont think I have ever been really jealous of many shop assistants until today
I lost it when you spit out sawdust. Hilarious. You owe me a new shirt!
You’re not the only weirdo, carpet tape is great. Love the design👍
You could use LED strip lights....you can cut them to length and I think some sets come with a remote. You should put lights over by the glasses to make them sparkle!
And as always, you're hysterical!🤣🤣
The shadow line was a great idea, made a big difference for the better. When it comes to the domino jointer, if I bought one for that price I would use it al the time also
It looks amazing. Yes, when I first saw the picture, my first thought was "you don't want to store whiskey on its side... he should know that!" Crisis averted.
I don't wanna lay it on too thick, so I'll just say that I'm rarely this entertained and educated at the same time.
the mug smashing startled me
my favorite build on all of youtube. You are incredible.
Reminds me Le Corbusier's Unite d'Habitation. This is a beautiful whiskey table and watching it being built makes me appreciate every small detail.
That's a sweet cof..... Whiskey table. Now it's time for a new whiskey drink video. 🎶 It's been awhile 🎶 since we have gotten a drink video
8/4? I... You Americans never cease to baffle us metric peeps.
Nice work
Love the bit of you spitting out the shavings after taking off the mask your comedy is great. Lighting up those glasses might have been kind of cool too though, look like a fun project nice work!
I am disappointed that there are not any dominos in the coaster holder thingy, that would have been fitting and triggered the haters.
What a beautiful way to stash your sipping liquor. Thank you.
I love this mans videos he cracks me up with his humor
I did the same with Wood Glut instructions :)
Seriously, in the words of my son, "Dope!". Well done. Very inspirational. Especially given that you didn't have a background in woodworking. Gives us hope!
You should build a standing liquor cabinet next... with plans! 🙂
Lol. Right off the intro, First thing I notice is the empty EH Taylor bottle on the wall, and the bottle of Stagg Jr in the table. 😍
I love the content and superb building, but id love to see custom bourbon glasses with that logo. That’d be badass👏
Not only do you build beautiful furniture, you have great taste in bourbon and scotch!
Ambiance. The LED lights add ambiance. *sips whiskey literarily* Absolutely stunning.
that kickback on the chop saw on the 8/4 looked scary
Ah man, smashing some Lagavulin as soon as the video starts. Instant thumbs up!
You opened this video with Lagavulin and closed with Lagavulin... You are def my new favorite wood worker to follow on the RUclips!!! Obviously the table is beyond awesome.
My favorite woodworking program. Very informative. And the comedic element is a huge plus.
Congrats on your new puppy. What a cutie!
Mister Moth, bourbon if i may call you by your first name,
That is a magnificent build! Thanks!
I believe a collaboration with you and Norm Abrams would be very interesting 😀
Damn that shadow line is clean.
Maan as someone who is really into sexy rounded corners, angled feet and shadow lines, I loooove this, maybe my favourite piece of furniture I've ever seen!
I didn't see anyone mention it yet so I will point it out. When using a hole saw, peck at the material to clear the wood chips. Drill a 1/4 inch or so then back out. Repeat. Doing this will make drilling easier and reduce or even stop smoking. It will also save your hole saws. Another option is to drill a hole touching the line, inside or out depending on the piece you want to keep. This gives the chips a place to fall without pecking.
6/4 and 8/4, that’s why I like you, it’s my kinda math. Oh cabinet looks super cool😉🤣🤣🤣
Just brilliant!!! And the choice of whisky was perfect. Lagavulin FTW!
You are an amazing human being. A master at your Kraft.
Your channel seems to be really successful, and it makes me wonder. How much woodworking/crafting do you do off camera for clients that is not related to your RUclips channel? I imagine a lot of your projects never make it on RUclips.
None
@@Bourbonmoth that’s a good thing you get a break from it, the editing process plus the actual woodworking for each project is a LOT to do!
another above average video that kept me gripped...I need a drink now.....awesome work, Jason
Thanks for showing the result of your work at the beginning, now I don’t need to use about 37 minutes of my life, when I already know the result. Irony is the word “Thanks”.
Welcome aboard Craig!!
I hope you like sanding... cause I can see you doing a lot of sanding.
Turned out very nice. Just a suggestion you should turn the glasses upside down to keep out dust, dirt and whatever else is floating around.
The dedication to the dusty bit lmao
I shed a tear when you chopped off the corner (mitre) instead of using it as a tenon. 8:37
Now there’s a piece of furniture that I really want to build!
It's funny that the more experienced you are, the more effort you have to use to achieve a shadow line :)
As an amateur woodworker myself, these shadow lines happen all by themselves:)
Actually, when you said "Legend - Dary", my instant thought was Letterkenny :)
Sort of disappointed that you didn't use biscuits on the "coaster holder"...LOL...love your channel...keep up the great work.
I would have never thought to put those little spoiler pieces on at 31:30 that’s such a good idea! I would have totally messed that up. Thanks for the tips. HEY!!! You Got a shop assistant yay! Finally.
Another great video, and a beautiful project, from the Hook-N-Plop channel! The selection of whiskies was top-notch, as well.
Can't wait to graduate so I can afford a table saw. Your work is inspiring.
Same here, I use a Ridgid jobsite saw. Which ones are you lookin at?
My admiration grows with each new video. Thanks brother!
I really enjoy your videos, the fine sarcastic way you speak about your great work. Please keep on and cheers! Greetings from North Germany
As a Whiskeys drinker, I absolutely love this build.
You do great work Jason keep up the great work!
Stagg Jr! That my friend is a mighty fine bourbon and a good find by you!
