Awesome book that gives you step-by-step photos ruclips.net/user/postUgkxTNB_zFBSnTo_O1PqfVUwgi7ityw0JlKt and directions to make every day project. I can see myself making a few of these projects and giving them as housewarming and holiday gifts!
You might add the leg template to your online store. Maybe a smaller version so we could make a side table version as well. I’d be game to buy the templates.
Looks great. Spotted a tip for the frugral- you can cut out the kink in the leg then use the scrap to make the knee part. This will often match the colour perfectly too as they came from the same part of the same board.
Was going to comment the same in other words! After jointing, re-draw the outline and cut off the part below to glue on above. It saves wood but costs time as you have to go to the bandsaw twice (and also a slight bit more imprecision as you have to re-lay the template on the previous location to draw the top bit of outline).
Love the clamp and tap technique for wood stretching. 😂 I may never buy a piece of lumber longer than 8' from now on. Seriously, love your projects and craftsmanship.
Nice table! On the legs, something I think I first saw from Tom McLaughlin was to take the cutoff part and glue that to the other side rather than using another board. It saves a little wood, but more importantly, the entire leg is made from the same board and the color and grain should match nearly perfectly. Love your vids!
I thought the same thing as I watched. Saving wood is great, but by doing this you get the grain and color match as the added piece comes from the same board. However, I always love his videos!!
Hi ,from Western Australia, the tabletop, have used half bead (oval shape) with a flap disk all around to get the half-bead look , its different.? woodworker for over 45 years
A kitchen rolling pin works just as well as the clamp stretching technique. Just roll out the top in all directions, be careful to keep your pressure even. it’ll be a touch thinner but you can add about 25% to the diameter.
the board stretching trick worked - and you didn't even clamp the other side down to the table! I had my doubts when you didn't take that important step!
I love your work Jason, and I love your humor too! You make watching your videos enjoyable and relaxing. I work on wood projects too and quite often I cut my boards short but it never dawned on me to use your stretching technique! Man, that is brilliant! Thank you for making me laugh.
Turned out beautiful. That leg design also allows adding a tabletop that's slightly tapered towards the upper side while still maintaining the cohesiveness of the entire piece. Cheers!
As expected, you never disappoint, nice table. You do awesome work, great attention to detail. Love the banner, always a good reminder to not cut off any body parts. Thanks for sharing.
I'm always amazed at how clean your shop is. I'm overrun by scraps that I hate to throw away. Every so often I actually find a use for them, which makes me more likely to NOT throw it away. For instance, what did you do with the funny looking pointy ends from the leg cutouts? Oh yeah. Nice table, too!
Nice, Reminds me of all the great Scandinavian Furniture I used covet at the Eugene Scan Design Furniture Shop 😀. I'm norse so I tend to love all things Scandinavian.
just found your channel, because I got a new table saw my first one. I have used them before but wanted some tips and tricks while using it. Ive been binge watching your channel for the last couple days lol. The board stretcher omg LMAOROFL.... you are too funny. I want to make this table now , but think I will do it in fir and larch just cause its a first project and if i mess it up wont cost as much at hardwoods.
"And-Just-Like-That-And-With-No-Math," and with that saying alone, you have become my hero!! I've watch a couple videos from some talented wood workers; and while they have interesting mid-century designs, they completely lose me with all "the percentage angel this and minus a percent with a reverse percent flip it around" complicated process. It makes the attempt at the project unreachable. I feel like I need to go back to college and retake my geometry. Thanks for making woodworking approachable. You have some nice equipment and lots of clamps which can made the projects a little bit easier to make, but all in all, your projects are doable.
The wood stretching part was really great. I've stretched metal in a similar way to make things fit together in tool and die making but didn't know it worked for wood as well.
Hey! All that white oak could've been barrel staves for bourbon. You could use some alternative media like epoxy or something. 😜 I enjoy your videos, thank you for all your work.
I've been watching for awhile and just saw this video with the sign in it that says, "DON'T CUT OFF YOUR FINGERS" sadly yesterday had my first run in with a table saw and cut the top of my thumb off! LOL
This past weekend I did a panel glue up for a coffee table - but unfortunately I don't have a jointer, so I used a combination of a hand plane and a router with a straight edge. All I have to say is I can't wait for the day that I have a full size shop and I can buy a jointer (and a table saw, and a band saw, and a planer, and.....)
Hey I would like to see you do a build from chopping the tree down, air drying it, then do the build. You could do a timelaps on the air dry bc that would take a while. But that would be fun!
Never clicked so fast in my life! LOL
Hey Micheal you follow all the right people.
@@lechatbotte. lol 😂 I try. I hope to do a collaboration with Jason someday cause I think that would be SO FUN!
I do the same thing for your videos.

I for one ONLY watch this for the famous, patented hip thrust. makes my day.
Spot on 👍🙂
You might add the leg template to your online store. Maybe a smaller version so we could make a side table version as well. I’d be game to buy the templates.
I love how you made this, as my Grandpa used to say, there is no such thing as scrap wood, just wood you haven't figured out a use for yet.
Looks great. Spotted a tip for the frugral- you can cut out the kink in the leg then use the scrap to make the knee part. This will often match the colour perfectly too as they came from the same part of the same board.

I love your wood stretching technique! Almost as much as I loved your hip thrust technique! ;-) Awesome looking table, Jason!
Artisan.
You have so much great commentary there are no more words needed, the piece speaks for itself and you.
Thank you Jason for what you do.
Gotta love a good board stretching session 🤣

I thought the same thing. Gotta save material and +1 on the grain match also.
I thought the same thing as I watched. Saving wood is great, but by doing this you get the grain and color match as the added piece comes from the same board. However, I always love his videos!!
Glad I checked before making the same comment. I think I saw The Wood Whisperer use this technique recently so it was fresh in my head.
Prideful Goat! Love it! If you like rye, you'll love the PG rye. 6 yr MGP.
love the table. stretched top table. 😁
Awesome project dude
The ol board stretcher 😂
Commenting for the algorithm.
Looks good Bro!
thanks, making legs for tables is a problem for me and watching this vedio it helped a lot
So thanks
Ray
I really like your marking knife 😂
Looks awesome Jason
Hi ,from Western Australia, the tabletop, have used half bead (oval shape) with a flap disk all around to get the half-bead look , its different.? woodworker for over 45 years
The best!
Wood Grows back.......Fingers Don't. Thank You Moth.

Great for showing off the finished product before building it! Now I also understand better which steps you go through while making.
It’s really a beautiful build. Some great tips and tricks. Thanks!
Love it
you are so goofy i love it.
14:43 🤣 I'm here just for the hip thrust
Nicely done! I would've used a base shrinker instead of a top stretcher, though. ;)
you are the greatest wood stretcher ever / no joke you are the best wood stretcher LOL
I cant wait to finish my Renovation and start making the furniture. I've already made the cabinets using your style (which worked great)
Here to learn wood working. Subscribed for the humor.
Thank for the board stretcher method. I learn something on everyone of your videos
Maybe make a lazy Susan to use when doing circle router cuts. That way you're not having to move your router, but rather your workpiece.
A shelf stretcher works wonders on making table tops bigger too. Just saying! Loved the table. Great execution.
I don’t know why Jason hasn’t added the Bynford Board Stretcher 2000 to the shop, probably waiting on a sponsorship.
the board stretching trick worked - and you didn't even clamp the other side down to the table! I had my doubts when you didn't take that important step!
I'll take it!
So fresh and so clean clean!
Great work & beautiful table BMW! 👍👍
Hi Jason! Here in Cape Town we still have those merry-go-rounds. I often take my grandson there to puke
And just like that, zip, zap, zoop, I hit the “like” button. Great work as always!
Saludos desde Lima-Perú
Just started watching from little old England (uk)! U r good and funny narrating. U inspiring me a newcomer to my new workshop thx
Board stretcher lol is that like a shelf stretcher hee hee
Beautiful little table and I love the legs!
Always be certain to cover your bourbon when sanding and routing...lessons learned.
Beautiful piece what a sweet finsih 💪
Yum! glue!!
I love your work Jason, and I love your humor too! You make watching your videos enjoyable and relaxing. I work on wood projects too and quite often I cut my boards short but it never dawned on me to use your stretching technique! Man, that is brilliant! Thank you for making me laugh.
Love your work can I have an Autograph :)
Turned out beautiful. That leg design also allows adding a tabletop that's slightly tapered towards the upper side while still maintaining the cohesiveness of the entire piece. Cheers!
interesting way to increase the countertop)))
That would make great bourbon/ break table. Lol. Just need some chairs.....next project?
I wonder how many people will try the stretching technique! Ha!
Awesome craftsmanship 👏
I am still dumbfounded with the stretching of the top. Amazing!
Insanely Beautiful table.
Thanks again
Love that project, Jason.
You found the board stretcher! Finally, I have been looking for one of those.
the board stretcher clamp jig move, was awesome. love it.
It turned out so great, you are becoming my favourite woodworker on the Tube 🤩
giving you all my comedy lines for free
Absolutely loved the tabletop enlargement 😂😂😂😂 learn a lot watching you and always get a good laugh thanks
Lovely. Make it look so easy.
I hope Craig's boots are getting some royalties off this video. That cameo at 19:22 is cinematic gold👏
Pretty good foreshadowing.
As expected, you never disappoint, nice table. You do awesome work, great attention to detail. Love the banner, always a good reminder to not cut off any body parts. Thanks for sharing.
Just took a cheeky stroll through your website Jason.. You for sure need a shirt/banner/mug with "Zip, Zap Zoop.." :P
The stretching of the table top lol
Thanks for that clamp board stretching tip! Works like a charm! Love it. 😜
another great piece, good work.
Another great project! This one is on my list now
that board stretching technique only would work if you fix the opposite side at the same time... that is why you had to make another top! 😉
Awesome project and you were in a an estate of mind 🤣🤣🤣
Excellent workmanship, fantastic table. Love watching your videos

Oh yeah. Nice table, too!
You should have a "usable scrap bin". I found that works for me👍
@@samfifield4763 I have - usable scrap bin #1, usable scrap bin #2, usable scrap bin #3 ...
You really ate that glue😂
Nice, Reminds me of all the great Scandinavian Furniture I used covet at the Eugene Scan Design Furniture Shop 😀. I'm norse so I tend to love all things Scandinavian.
An added benefit of using a friction fit for the half-laps is that, if you ever need to move, you can disassemble and flat-pack them.
So beautiful table 👍🏼👍🏼
Really nice table!

I'm off to the shop to stretch some wood before it's too late!

As always great build. I cannot wait to attempt one of your project... Thank yoy for the inspiration!
Haha don’t eat processed food but let me have some of that pva glue. Yum!
Never knew about the "clamp board stretching technique". I'll use that in the future.
Nice work sir 👏🏻
Really Nice, great job and I'm gonna have to try that stretching technique
The wood stretching part was really great. I've stretched metal in a similar way to make things fit together in tool and die making but didn't know it worked for wood as well.
Beautiful project!! How I haven't think on the clamps radius trick!
Ya! In my regular job, IT, we use cable stretchers, same concept...
Hey! All that white oak could've been barrel staves for bourbon. You could use some alternative media like epoxy or something. 😜 I enjoy your videos, thank you for all your work.
thank you for the double sided tape link, I've been meaning to order some
A beautiful piece. Thanks for the roundabout comment, it made me think of drunkenly getting thrown off one many many years ago.
I've been watching for awhile and just saw this video with the sign in it that says, "DON'T CUT OFF YOUR FINGERS" sadly yesterday had my first run in with a table saw and cut the top of my thumb off! LOL
You should make bar stools with the same legs to match the table🤩
Anyways love your videos! Greetings from Norway🙂
