    Amazing review. I was going to send you a PM about scribers and I saw this video. Answered all my questions. Being rust proof and low maintenance is absolutely crucial. Thank you for sharing this. Once again you saved us.

    Those panel Liners are useful tools for assembling miniatures in dualability. Like with drill bits, they come in different sizes.
    It's alright, the roosters in the background were giving some ambiance. 🐓

    Hi Nico, I really like your videos. They're very educational, and I'm learning so much. Question: Do you work with PLA plate materials? Do you have any advice on the subject?

    • @NicoSuratos
      @NicoSuratos  20 дней назад

      Thanks! I have used pla plate a couple of times now and recently did a scratchbuilt Zeong. Though I haven’t gotten around to making dedicated tutorials about it. What are you having a hard time with?

    You're the main reason I got the 0.125, 0.15 and 0.2, arrived 3 days ago. Got a few others before that (Kaizo, Mr Hobby, Hobbytown) and the difference is night and day!

    Ive been buying these chisels and have the .15mm to 1.5mm. One of the best chisels available. Also those zero chisels Ive been on the fence for these and thank you for the review

    Have you tried Ray Studio scribes? I just got into the hobby and decided to try them instead of the SAB because it was a bit less expensive and the reviews were pretty positive. Curious if you have tried them and still like the SAB more.
    Edit- I may have to try an SAB the tip looks like a much better design

    • @NicoSuratos
      @NicoSuratos  Месяц назад +1

      Haven’t tried them since they’re pricier than the SAB panel liners here (though I think they’re just overpriced as they’re not readily accessible for us in the PH)

    Scribing is probably the modelling skill I want to improve on the most. After about 2 years, I'm still not very good at it. I have been using cheap, generic scribers and they are prone to slipping and producing uneven lines. Maybe I will buy just one of these to see if there is a difference.
    If I had to choose just one for carving basic panel lines, would the .2mm be the best choice?

    • @NicoSuratos
      @NicoSuratos  Месяц назад +1

      If you mostly build 1/100 scale kits then yes 0.2 is what you want. For 1/144, it would be 0.15

      @@NicoSuratos The .125mm is taking the (small) world of big scribers by storm. It's really weird.

      Big night and day, SAB may have taken inspiration from BMC, even the name stands pretty similar. (BMC - Sujibori do, SAB - Samawangu). I stand by it as well for using them for 3 years (BMC chisels were known to be scalped on the resell market for $100 each size practically making you spend $1200 for the whole set, While SAB when it started, nobody has tried to resell it, somewhat always in stock even when it goes out of stock in newtype. This goes to show you how much production is made comparing SAB and BMC and the total for SAB is close to $289 and a massive difference to BMC. You still need practice, even with the best tools, you still need foundation.
      Fun fact, someone who also has a popular channel compared SAB and BMC (and it's somewhere here in youtube).
