    The rear motor is not under the rear seats. The battery is under the rear seats, but the motor is built into the rear axle.

    loved the simple detail of the "lane departure assist"
    And yes, it feels painful to tell the car every time : "i don't want it now"
    As always . . . nice review.

      Ashraf Hassan thank you, glad you enjoyed it. Yes exactly, I only ever use lane assist on motorways so I was pleased it was default set to off!

      Think if indicating this does not come on-try it.

    • @AutoSocialUK
      @AutoSocialUK  3 года назад +1

      @@kevinbibb3893 you’re correct. Indicating will switch it off but when you’re driving around where I live, you often have to drive around cars ext (things that wouldn’t warrant indication) and wander over the lines

    • @kevinbibb3893

      Have driven in so many countries you would not believe. Pretty much all southern africa. Turkey, Israel, Cyprus, France, Belguim, etc. Also Australia, New Zealand Thailand and more.
      At no point did I feel that to over take safely I should not indicate first, or cross lanes. The time to slow down-keep aware.
      My Favourite driving was in South Africa. Indicators where used to gie info. Such as to over take. So many trucks, if behind one, they would indicate left if safe to over take-when pass-give a double/hazard as thank you. So easy-a language.
      Not sure I know your tough roads-proper race track for sure.
      Can turn it off.

    Ahhh. Sunny Devon. (It’s not Cornwall. But I’ll forgive you!). So. More info to blow my mind.... COOL SEATS 😳?! That’s a bit spesh!
    I’ve decided your gonna influence my next car! Currently got a 10yo CMax, (mainly cos I only drive to do events) but, when I’m a rich YTer...I’m gonna upgrade in 2021. Only stipulation is it’s Sexy Blue! So you’ve got 50+ more videos to sell me! 🤣

      Real Ridez perhaps not in an example like this but I do think hybrid is good if you have a very short journey to work because you can run it on electric but have petrol back up for longer journeys. Thank you, glad you enjoyed it.

    The delay for petrol engine to kick in in acceleration is well known for all us VAG DSG victims, especially 7 gear dsg they put in Tiguan, horrible! Dangerous! My Tiguan is going to be replaced by Grandland phev or Kuga phev - which one You’d take? Nice review, thanks!

    • @AutoSocialUK
      @AutoSocialUK  3 года назад

      Vectorifix I know there is a delay on the auto box, however I think this is more the case of the car seeing if there is any electric before the petrol engine kicks in. It’s almost instant if there is charge. I will have to explore the Kuga, I’ve never been a huge fan of Ford styling but the engines to seem to be VERY good!

      @@AutoSocialUK Ok, thanks for clarification. Does Grandland charge battery with petrol engine while driving?

  • @vijaymistry4169

    I just cannot be bothered to plug a car in every night to charge a car, they need wireless charging points to be installed to increase convenience at car parks, street parking or even at traffic lights. Review is great 👍

    • @AutoSocialUK
      @AutoSocialUK  3 года назад

      Vijay Mistry I think as soon as you have a good setup it would just become a routine, like plugging your phone in over night. This car perhaps with only 35 miles would need plugging it every night but if I had something with 200 miles I would only need to plug it in every 4 days or so

    Without stiffened steering wheel and suspension very tough to use the full 300bhp of this car.
    Not saying I do not like it. Leased last was 5 series M sport. Nice looking, pleasure to drive-but, this is way more fun.
    18miles full charge is the truth. Without full charge you have traded a sports car to horse and cart [not truth, but lose the beast].
    If purchased would be pissed off-leased-goes back in 23 months-each one will enjoy.

    • @AutoSocialUK
      @AutoSocialUK  3 года назад

      I actually very much agree why this

    • @kevinbibb3893
      @kevinbibb3893 3 года назад

      I have very low mileage. Mostly on busy tight roads, bends, idiots etc. Cars are so wide now, and many people track the middle line rather than the curb. So, even at slow speed have to avoid wing mirror clashes. So one bounce-will create a knock-can not open up.
      When room/space to bouncy and loose. Had an Infinity Q50 for two years. Not that quick, but, the ability to stiffen the steering column and suspension-could throw around corners at higher speeds.
      Drive now all time in sports mode-using petrol engine mostly. Then can open up electric immediate when required.
      Regards charging. Seem that 14kw battery takes around two hours to fully charge. Based on 14kw-that based on 18pkw amounts to £2.52 to create full charge-18 miles-so 14p per mile. Using engine, think is 55 miles per galloon. Galloon around £5 so .09p per mile.
      These numbers very basic-just pointing out-not saving from the wallet.
      Hope helps.
