Hogue and collector series is no smart move. The should better ramp up their strongpoints and offer what they do best. The sunk the Deka Nagnacut with the cheapest plastic handles I ever had in hand. Great blade, crappy scales. That’s a bummer. Do your topsellers right and good , don‘t go for that Benchmade money collectors strategy.
So stupid Hogue launched great Magnacut Deka with garbage plastic grips. Put out some cool scales. I am pretty p*ssed up with those crappy grips. In Europe those go for 180€ . Not worth it at all just because of the shortcut on the scales for „Bugout style lightweight“. Completely stupid if it it so wimpy, cheap feeling and slippery you cannot operate the lock comfortably.
I'm not sure why it's so hard to find the retailers for stuff like this but someone recommended a site called smkw that I found a magnacut with carbon fiber scales. both colors are sold out on that site but there might be other sites with exclusives like that if you look hard enough
I know exactly were Exclusives are to find. But I live in Europe. I was lucky even to have adealer offering the standard Magnacut Dekas. Odering those models overseas with custom fees can easily rise up to costs I can buy a Sebenza for. You are missing the point at all! I would ealisy order (and even import) Original Goat scales for the Deka. But they DO NOT ship overseas at all. In the US I would have zero issues. I could get coolest stuff from knifecenter, Smokey Mountain Knives, Blade HQ, second hand Arizona Custom Knives and any source I want. But thanks for the attempt.

I love the deka but I agree. The scales are a disappointment especially coming from Hogue who is capable of much better grips. ✌️ 🔪
