Buck holds a special place in everyone's heart. Regardless of whether they're a knife collector or not. Everyone's papa pulled a Buck pocket knife out to cut up their apple, or deal with a knotted shoelace, or whatever as a kid. We've all been rescued by a Buck 110 in our childhoods. Very happy to see them expanding to increase their presence in our knife collection & EDC rotations.
I bought the Buck series of Kitchen knives for my wife for Christmas. Once she used them she started warming up to them. They are the best set of kitchen knives we have ever had. Best of all they are Made in the USA.
As a Buck knife collector,, I am interested in really all of them. Whether I can afford all of them or not remains to be seen. Since I like 112s the most, had those special 110s been 112s, they would have been mandatory pickups. But the 117, Alpha, Hiline Xl, and Infusions I'll get for sure. Hopefully, I'll be able to pick up at least a couple of limited editions too.
The more expensive buck knives are limited editions and specialty knives...BENCHMADES are mostly overrated and overpriced.. for example the Benchmade "Bugout " no way that life is worth $160-180 😲
The $475 price tag on the 110 with titanium handle is crazy overpriced in my opinion. I’m a Buck collector and love the brand… but that’s just not realistic for s45vn and titanium. Edit: after finishing the video, it looks like Buck is pricing me out of collecting them lol. Wow.
Agreed. Wtf are they smoking. They think they can charge high end manufacturing production prices, or damn near custom territory pricing. They're finally using decent steal from 5 years ago, and Titanium. These materials make knives that cost $100-300 tops. And the $300 ones cost that much because of excellent fit/ finish and design... Buck isn't reinventing the wheel, but they're pricing their knives like they are. Pisses me off tbh, because they actually do look decent.
I like several of the knives shown here, but several of them are way overpriced in my opinion! $500,$600, and $700+ for Buck knives...? Even if I had the $$ I would never pay that and their "Limited Edition" knives aren't even a select number made, he said they're just gonna make them for the year and the next year do something else. I'd be more likely to pay a larger amount for a knife they made 200 of as opposed to 10,000+ that year or whatever!
I always been fascinated with the Buck and the old Henry knives sir. Thank you for the memories of my youth with these knives sir. Take care and be safe. See you on your next video.
Man, I never thought I'd get excited about Buck. Now it looks like I'll be waiting for the 110 Bearhead in S45VN to become available in Australia. Loving the upgrades of the classics.
Great vid. Definitely not trying to troll but I would recommend some lotion or gloves when presenting knives close up. The peeling fingers are not appealing. Hopefully this comes across as constructive criticism or “my two cents”. 👍
Dude! I was going to comment about it too. So freaking nasty. Get someone else to demo those knives! I keep ending the videos each time I see that mangled flesh
I really like everything from this years reveal from Buck. The small Alpha is probably my favorite but the updated packlites are great too. Titanium 110? hell yeah
I've always loved and had Buck knives. But you're prices are getting high enough that I'm switching over to the Becker/Kabar brand. So far I'm impressed !!
I’m going back and filling in my Buck collection now that my Case collection is pretty much finished up I’m old enough to appreciate American Brands I grew up with
Love BUCK knives .. I own four of them... Come over the years including the original 110... I love that buck is a family business still and not bought out by some large conglomerate... I see some real beauties there including the one with the full ivory.. really more than I can spend but real eye candy and alll the knives are extremely functional.. that very last one at $60 really catching my eye
I like Bucks and own a few, but jeez, these are over-priced. Those Alphas may be nice for some hunting tasks, but if I was going to buy a small fixed blade with the idea of just using it as a pocket fixed blade, I'd go for the MKM Makros. Same basic shape, but with M390 steel, really well-made, a great leather sheath, and cheaper.
Everybody crying about pricing... ? I f your looking for a good, cheap beater knife. Look at their Bantam series. Very good..made in USA lockbacks. About $30.00. I have a few of them, one in truck door pocket, kitchen drawer, toolbox. Insane good deal.
The saunter is basically a BM Proper copy. In fact, with these prices, Buck is becoming a Benchmade copy. There’s nothing wrong with 420 HC knives that are USA made with a great warranty.
I’d like to see more CPM 154/154cm on some of the hunting knives. Because you get much better edge retention then 420hc but it’s still easy to field sharpen, I love my little benchmade flyway and I think buck would have a ton of success with cpm 154/154cm. And while they’re at it a few bird and trout knives.
I got the skinner micarta on s35vn and sure as hell is high end steel way better than the 420 and 154 the s35vn sharpens a lot quicker and holds the edge way much better I just ordered the alpha on s35vn
@@elpoison626 I do enjoy s30v and s35vn both are wonderful high end steels I EDC a 940 Osborne in s30v. I still find 154cm/cpm154 to field sharpen much easier or at least take a razor sharp edge easier. I can easily get by with S30v or s35vn with field sharpening but I’m only going to be able to put a serviceable edge on it.
@@superpoint43 not enough good bird and trout knives out in the world. It’s a very usable and edc friendly platform so I’m not sure why they aren’t more popular. Maybe some people haven’t realized a bird and trout knife is the sweet spot size wise for anything from a large white tail to a dove and it’ll open your Amazon boxes too.
They should have done that titanium 110/112 yearsssss ago......its awesome man....now i want one..buck 110/112..tried and thru tested since the day it was introduce

Wow, the infusion has a great handle shape but the blades are a bit lacking...odd width, odd shapes. Hopefully they offer different, more conventional shapes in the future. If so, I'm in.
Yay..... more knives that will never get used...... All over $200 and most over $400? Buck you lost your way! Buck was always the AMERICAN made, working man's knife that i wouldn't call cheap but at a fair price. Now its a "what band wagon can we hop on to make more money"...... I don't need the new "super steel" if it cost so much that no one will use it anyway! Im 34 and been EDCing a Buck knife since 12....I have stuck with you in some dark times..... but im losing faith
I think it's cool that buck is getting into higher-end stuff by hope they don't become an inaccessible brand to someone who just wants a good work knife for a reasonable price. I have a basic 110 in 112 and I love them. They're both good American made knives that didn't cost me an arm and leg. It's cool to see the the high-end stuff. In fact I'm saving up to get a custom 110. I just don't want to see Buck become something inaccessible to normal people.
Visually, I like the Bear Head 110 … but I don’t think it would be enjoyable to hold. I will probably pick up a slim 112 this year. Not much from Buck’s lineup jumps out at me right now.
Love the saunter in 154cm, love the titanium 110 but $500 is way too steep. $790 retail for that Paradigm? What are you all smoking Buck. Should I get a Chris Reeve Sebenza, a Shiro, or a Koenig Arius, or a paradigm?….
I could be wrong but I don't think any of the knives they showed have hit the stores yet. I like the Alphas as well and will be looking for them to come in stock.
I'm so glad to see Buck stepping more and more away 420 everything.
420 is still a good steel that they do because of their heat treat arguably some of the best in the business
@@grovesy333 tough to beat their Bos on 420.

Everyone? I honestly don’t know anyone personally who has or likes Buck knives… I get that some may have your experiences but not everyone
Your experience is not as universal as you think.
I like the looks of some of these, though, if not the prices.
I grew up carrying Scharade & Old Timers, not Bucks.
Thank you DCA, Sir, for knowing so much about Buck's product line and helping out their rep. in this video.

I’m loving the titanium 110 but I can’t do $500 for it.
Holy cow.. $400, $700, Buck is trying to compete with Benchmade for most overpriced on a few of these..
At least Buck has a multitude of affordable options that are hard working time tested knives, such as the plain Jane 110.
I have the Vanguard with Rose Wood handles and love it. I have processed quite a few deer with it.
I was ready to order that tuxedo flipper until I found out it wasn't $300
