🍣tokyo | coffee jelly (saiki vibes 💖), sushi, takayama morning market, daiso japan 🌤️🍓

Another cozy day in Takayama, Japan! Our morning started out with an (unintentional) anime breakfast: melon soda, fruit sandos, and coffee jelly! I HAD to get the coffee jelly for one reason only: Saiki (iykyk) - I really risked palpitations and insomnia for the experience! Lol. Takayama may be known as old Kyoto, due its old town vibes, but it’s also famous for its delicious Hida beef. Just thinking about it is making my mouth water 🤤 One of the highlights of the day was me having a tantrum (not seen in the video lol) and making everyone get sushi for lunch. The sushi was fantastic, and we really lucked out on having a private room, but the star of the show was the hida beef on rice. It melted in your mouth and it’s a flavor you cannot forget! It was an unexpected twist to our sushi lunch. We did a little bit of shopping (saw some Studio Ghibli and Sanio merch) and visited temples, and we ended the day by moving to our new hotel - we were greeted by lion dancers as a pleasant surprise upon check-in!
