beautiful place. I've been there 2 times and the first time we stayed in the same hotel that you booked. We managed to catch the festival too :). Did you get a chance to visit the morning market?
It doesn’t. Use common sense. They are showing you videos from early morning or late afternoon when traffic has subsided, but in general every area is over populated
@@michaelcosta-zx5up Have you been? That's not what I experienced. It's a quaint town with cars but people rely on buses and trains and hence, little to no traffic. This is not the U.S.
Japan really is one of the most beautiful travel destinations. I also calculated the prices for food and was surprised at how affordable some things are there. You would pay twice to three times as much for such dishes in my country.
Sol, your videos are like little graceful movies. I could click on your playlist and keep watching all videos one by one my entire day. Bless you, and pray you keep making such beautiful movies more and more. Thank You. ❤
I could only spend a day there in Takayama but it's one that persists in my memory very clear, the local market on the riverside was lovely ❤. I am enjoying your videos a lot 😍
I was there several years ago. I bought 2 beautiful lacquerware plates. They are still very beautiful. I also went to the markets and remember buying muskmelon lollies and strawberries. I travelled there by train from Tokyo. I still think of Takayama. It is a beautiful place.
Thanks❤Definitely my next decitination.I heard lacquerware plates and bawls were precious but would be even more precious in the future. I'll go Takayama with a big suitcase❤
One of the most beautiful countries my wife and i ever seen and experienced was Japan. The place is amazingly beautiful, quiet and offers best tasting food. I’d love to see you again, Japan.
Wow, this video is absolutely captivating! The cinematography and editing really make me feel like I'm right there experiencing those breathtaking landscapes and vibrant cultures. Thanks for sharing these amazing travel adventures-I'm feeling inspired to start planning my next trip right away!
Thanku so much for making all these vlogs, Im 25 now and Japan has been my dream country since I was a little girl, I dream of going to Japan one day and when I does, your videos are gonna help me alot,, Love from Pakistan💌
What beautiful places, so much nature and greenery, seem so calm and peaceful!! I'd love to spend some time there. Everything you showed, from the temple with the old trees, to the Higa town, to the traditional streets of Takayama, was amazing. Definitely adding it to my travel wishlist!!
What a beautiful countryside of Japan. I've been to Tokyo several years back and my sister live in Yokohama but I've never been to the countryside of that beautiful Japan. I'm from the Philippines and wish to visit that country again in the near future!
What a beautiful summer trip to the mountains. I love the coffee in a cookie cup-what a delicious and environmentally-friendly idea! Thanks for sharing all the beautiful scenery. 😻
What a fantastic trip to Takayama! 🌟 The old townscape and Hida folk village look absolutely enchanting. I loved seeing the Hoba miso and Takayama ramen-both look delicious! The morning walk along Sanomachi and the Miyagawa Markets must have been so charming. Can’t wait to see your next adventure in Gujo Hachiman! Thanks for sharing this beautiful journey with us! 🏞🍜🛍
We visited Japan in 2012. We attended the Spring festival in Takayama, watched the parade through the streets, it was such a wonderful event and beautiful location 🇬🇧
Such a lovely video! I went to Takayama in May this year, sanomachi street and the Hie shrine, very beautiful places! It was also the setting for the popular anime Hyouka :)
Really enjoying these videos showing the more traditional towns and villages. Always like seeing the different snacks you try as well. But the latte drawing and cookie cup was exceptional.☕🍪⛩
I visited this town last month! Stayed at the same hotel too! Was such a beautiful town and nice contrast to the busyness of Tokyo. Definitely would love to come back here in the future.
I'm going to there on January, winter 2025 and will be making Takayama as home base to visit shirakawago, Kanazawa, shin hotaka. Your videos are helpful!!! Arigatou gozaimasu!
Takayama is a sister city to Denver in the US, so I was very interested in this video. Denver is fun, but Takayama seems to have more charm. If I'm ever back in Japan, I'll have to visit Takayama. Lovely.
First i'm gonna visit Tokyo, Kyoto, and osaka just to understand how things works there, what is the basic rules and many things.. after that i will visit japan one more time just for countryside.. i really like countryside, i feel relaxed i love slow living.. being an introvert i love my own company and for me my friends is my books , nature and my close one ... japanese tradition and cultures amaze me so much , i think we also have some similar tradition ... By the way you know you always lift my mood by your videos.. thank you so much for these videos, take love ❤ love from India ❤
Moshi moshi. Thank you soooo much for such a great clip… & I especially enjoyed the fact there was NO voice-over and great sound effects. Wonderful. Arigato. Chris in Windy Welly, NZ
Finding your videos here in YT is a gem and really inspired me to visit countryside of Japan. I'll be visiting the country June 2025, wish to get a nice weather. Also hope you can share how was your transportation from major city like Osako or Kyoto going to countryside like Shirakawago or Takayama.
Hello Sol, Thank you for this beautiful video of Takayama. I really enjoyed this peaceful and serene village. Its super-friendly shops and the Sarubobo. It's so cute. Another destination to add to my trip when I go to Japan. I loved the Takayama shrine with its very old cedar tree and especially the toori with the stairs, just like the Makoto Shinkai movie Your Name, which I loved. In fact, I love all Makoto Shinkai's movie, as much as Hayao Miyazaki's. I really fell in love with Hida no sato. A place that literally seduced me. It's the perfect place where I'd like to live. A real dream. Thank you again for your videos, which take us on a journey to the Japan I love so much. Have a wonderful day. Alain.
I have a question to ask. Every picture in your video is incredibly beautiful and can be considered a great shot. The reason for this is not only because of the beautiful scenery in Japan, but also because of your superb shooting skills and equipment. So, may I ask what equipment you used to shoot?thank you❤❤❤❤
Ahh...Hida Beef, I really missed that flavor. Along with their senbei (rice crackers). Also there is one place in Takayama you missed. It's the Showa-kan Museum. It made you feel like you were thrown back to 1960s Japan.
It's sad, I'm young and I can't leave France. France is boring, the people are bad and toxic. I would love to leave everything and go to Japan or just another country. Thank you for your videos, sometimes I watch them when I feel less well. It makes me sad to miss so many things, but maybe later I'll do the same thing... Hello from France 🇫🇷 And Thanks 😊
This week we're in the traditional town of Takayama! Next, we're off to Gujo Hachiman the Water city in Japan🌊
That cream looked delicious in that coffee.🎉
beautiful place. I've been there 2 times and the first time we stayed in the same hotel that you booked. We managed to catch the festival too :). Did you get a chance to visit the morning market?
How come every Japanese countryside scenery looks like straight out of paintings!? I’m always amaze by it.

It really is! Especially with the low yen, eating was really affordable.
Takayama is the kind of place my heart and soul wish to reside. So charming. Thank you for taking us to such a quaint little town.
