Thank you for watching 🙏 Make sure to check out part 2 where we visit Shirakawago winter village and stay in a beautiful onsen ryokan (traditional inn) in Takayama 🌿: ruclips.net/video/wZN6TpUv9Bc/видео.html

What a great video, it is really usefull for me as i travel next year for five weeks to Japan! I will surely visit a lot of places you have shown today! Arigato gozaimasu! 🇩🇪🙋♀️🇯🇵🙏
Thank you for the nice comment Andrea-san 🌿 Happy to hear that the video was useful! We will release part 2 of the video later this week, so make sure to check that one out as well. Hope you enjoy your trip to Japan! 🇯🇵🙏
Hi James! Appreciate the nice comment 🙏 and happy to hear you feel like visiting Takayama just by watching this 😄 Indeed, let's see where this channel takes us. Hopefully we will be able to upload more often in the future!
Thank you! Both are very similar, but Showa-kan attempts to recreate a street from the Showa era, while the Retro Museum focuses more on games and entertainment. At the Retro Museum, you can also try school meals from that period.
Thank you for the comment ❤️ One to one and a half hours should be sufficient, although it's easy to spend a longer amount of time there considering the abundance of things to see! October is a nice time to visit. Not too hot or cold and lesser tourists :)
Hi Sean. Sure! Google Maps link: goo.gl/maps/TSMaSqMueoM5bRXi8 It's conveniently located a couple of minutes walk from the Miyagawa morning market and less than a minute walk from the Yoshijima house. You should have no problem finding it. Good luck (and say hello to the cats from us)! 🐱🌿
Just paid a visit to Takayama - very disappointed 😢 I cannot believe how many tourists can be packed in the narrow street of the old town. The video could be shot during the Covid era. You will never get the peaceful setting in today’s world. Nothing is beautiful when the street is like packed sardines. Imagine you have to rub shoulders with others to do sake tasting and when you smell hida beef skewers all the time but couldn’t identify where is the end of the line. Thank god we only had one night in Takyama. Kamikochi and Shinhotaka are much more interesting. Btw, it was a weekday and in early November.
Yes, Takayama (and Japan in general) has boomed like crazy after the borders reopened. Takayama old town is indeed the most visited spot, but there are still hidden gems to be seen in the city. Glad you could enjoy the surrounding areas at least :) This video was shot in January this year (2023) by the way 🌱

Great video, thank you. What the diference Showa-kan museum and Takayama Retro museum in the south (near nakabashi bridge)?

Thank you for sharing❤ will an hour be enough to visit the Showa-kan? Hoping to go there this October..

The tempo of the music is out of place with the vision and editing.
