  • So yesterday I made my way up to Hoboken to catch train 71 to Port Jervis which is the first train of the morning other than train 69. My birthday is tomorrow up so I treated myself with this early birthday gift. This was a wired set because it was a regular NJT consist with a dual-mode.
So I got to Hoboken yesterday morning a little bit before 9am from PATH from Newark. I've been wanting to do a full ride video of this line for a very long time. The last time I was in Port Jervis was August 2011 and it changed a little bit since the last time I was here. I was pretty surprised that I filmed this whole ride as long as it is I thought all my batteries were gonna die. I will be doing another full ride video on this line but later in the afternoon. This is a very scenic route especially riding over the Moodna Viaduct. I also had my scanner with me as well so I got all the detectors but the Middletown/Red Onion one.
I recorded pretty much all of it but only a few mins with the Otisville/Bergen Hill Tunnels and my camera did stop recording and I resumed it at Glen Rock station because of something but it wasn't that big of a deal and I just kept recording and that's it. I've never recorded a video this long before this is the longest video I've done so far and I continue to do more full-ride videos! I spelled several things wrong in this I don't feel like redownloading this it took me a while to download & upload this to here so sorry about the misspelling.
The engine leading was a NJT ALP45DP

Hey Jamiee, Thanks for sharing this great video!!, I rode the same line as a teen up to Middletown, NY behind a new EL U-34-CH and NJT Comet 1 cars in the Mid 70's . GREAT VIDEO!! and Thanks for the Ride !!!! Woww what a trip over the Moodna Viaduct , Awesome !!
After all these years , looks like most of the old Erie RR main line remains the same less the original 4 track main is now a 2 track main up to Suffern. Your video gave me so many memory goose bumps lolol.
If you ever have any nostalgic questions from the PJ line, let me know.
    Thanks/ Alex

Hi Jamiee, I have enjoyed watching your videos for a couple of months now. I particularly like the videos of rides and the information you give on those videos such as the name of the stations and names of other landmarks. Thank you for providing that. I also feel that your videos are clearer than others I have seen. I cast the videos onto a wide screen TV and sometimes put on classical music. My favorite is music by Claude Debussy, but I also like Beethoven’s Pastoral. Watching your videos is relaxing for me and I watched this one twice already and plan to watch it some more. I also appreciate the personal information you give below the video. By the way, Happy Birthday. Thank you for taking the time to make and post these videos. Oh, and how did you come up with SnuggleBee?
