- May 1990 - After 8 NHL seasons, left winger Mats Naslund announces his departure from the Montreal Canadiens
He is joined by GM Serge Savard, coach Pat Burns, and teammates Ryan Walter & Bobby Smith
Naslund played one season with HC Lugano in Switzerland, followed by three seasons with Malmö in Sweden
He briefly returned to the NHL in 1995, playing 34 games with the Bruins before retiring
One of my favorite players at the time. Especially for his size.
What a player
my favourite player growing up. I wear 26 anytime I can get it for any sport
Biggest star on the team in the early to mid Eighties.
We had a major client in Sweden. At meeting I asked to say hello to Mats Naslund for me when they got home. Only one knew who I was talking about. He was the oldest.
Mats Naslund était un marqueur
