There are obviously a plethora of other reasons why they go broke in the Marine Corps or when the Marines come home, but these are just some that I have came across, so don't crucify me for not stating everything!

Kevin M indeed i knew a person where i used to work at my old job and he's 31 Years old and has 4 Kids from his ex Wife but now has a new girlfriend a little younger then him. But he still owns Credit card Debt worth of $6,000 dollars but he still has 45 Jordan Sneakers drives 2 Cars and he even pay his girlfriend for her college career and still in Debt with $6,000. Same goes with this 25 Year old guy i knew has 2 Kids he still own Debt worth $3,000 and he is struggling with that and with his 2 Kids and struggling with one full time job he has.
But anyways this people i just mention are talking trash to other people that i knew who also used to work there with me including me i was trash talk by this people that i and some of the others have been criticize or rejected by them because we don't go out and party much or drink or girls and that we are weird people that are saving money but don't go out and party or drink much. It's like living in High School days if you don't fit in their little group or groups you're a loser or not cool enough which to me it is very stupid and immature. But hey look at the bright side i'm not the one who is Broke and own 45 Sneakers of Jordan and has 4 Kids to feed and owns $6,000 Dollars of debt and or have 2 Kids and struggling one full time job but owns $3,000 Worth of Debt and can't pay the debt but still spend money on partying and buy new sneakers coming out.
Also at least i work my ass off before i ever had that job and after this job that i just mention and since i been there for like 9 Months working there and gave my two weeks notice and left. But at least i have money for all my hard work and i don't own any Debt from no one and at least i know how to finance and save my money and know how to manage it. and don't spend a lot of stuff that i don't need. So i guess they are the stupid and loser people that can't even save and manage their money financially. I'm also a young Men age 26 Years old Single no kids but i'm still have a plan for my future and planing to go back to school and also hopefully join the military as well. So far that's my experience in life and experience at work. But again people never learns and same goes with this people i just mention they never learn and have to learn it the hard way.

I would say buy a gaming system if you are into that and buy stuff you will use for a long time. That way you spend some in the beginning but get to save a lot because you control your spending and already have the stuff you need

1. home because everyone needs a roof over their heads in which I would pay the house bills
2. groceries because the world needs it
3. car how many cars? 0+1=1 car because of transportation purposes.
4. internet, wifi. because of entertainment.
5. entertainments like xbox, ps, pc or laptop. So that I don't get bored.
6. books to have that *knowledge* or entertaining stories.
7.clothes because we all aren't naked apes.
8. save the money for future needs so credit bank card.

Hey friend I got a question how can you be a marine and still continue with school
That boii Tony I've been researching about it myself and I talked to my recruiter the other day about it. The advice he gave me was to take advantage of the TA and CLEP programs while in active. You can go to the Education Center every Duty Station should have one. So you can take classes that way. He said that the job will always come first because you're a Marine before a student so only take two classes at a time because anymore than that will be hell and you won't have that much freetime. Also he said if you get to Staff Sergeant they have this program you can apply for and if approved you can go college active duty full-time. The Marines don't cover Doctorates so that's something you have to do after you retire or whatever you choose. But they cover up to Master's degrees.
But going reserve you lose out on a lot of these benefits... So he said it's smart if you want an education to choose an MOS that's less likely to get deployed so don't go infantry first. He said choose one on the POG based side to get your education and then after you're content go all out with whatever MOS you want. The degrees take a decent time because it's 8 week classes, 5 semesters a year, and two classes at a time. So you'll be getting 30 credit hours a year just about. So in terms of a contract you want to sign for a longer one that way you have time to get it all done on that base. Because colleges and classes at one base might be different from the others. Also your combat training counts as credit hours in the electives section so you won't have to take as many dumb classes.
Isaiah Messiah Jones wow friend that's real excellent advice it's because I'm thinking of joining the marines but I know that being a marine you're mostly busy and won't have much free time for studies like being in the navy or air force.

Great advise, especially the sleeping on your money and being a barracks rat, lots of cool stuff to do on base, especially overseas. A piece of advise from me, a Marine for 10 years who made a lot of money while serving, get your ass to Japan! Your stay in the Marines is short, if you want to make serious cash while you are serving go to Japan. I lived off of my COLA allowance and banked all of my paychecks. The COLA allowance in Japan is great! The longer you stay the more money you get, Japan is the only place with COLA so get it while you can.

Hey I've got a question I want to go to the marines but may join the infantry or special forces but a concern of mine is if I get injured and cant finish my service will I still have free college even though I didn't serve my full time
And I know that college isn't totally free cause you have to pay like $1200 I think

My mother who only has 1 job and that is delivering car parts and i am currently going to school so i cant work. its called saving money not spending it on a shiny little trinket and toy. sorry that i can manage money but some young marines cant. Besides most of that money was from selling almost all the shit I had in yard sales and from when i was in a serious car crash when some old guy ran into the side of the car injuring my mother so she could not work and also spraining my neck. That left our car totaled and left us having to take the public bus for a few months. because yeah i am just that privileged.
