That’s a beautiful fish and an even beautiful aquarium. That reefer definitely is a master... What impressed me the most is his mountain of hammer corals... WOW!!!!

That tank really needs a huge swim through on the overflow side of that rock work to let that guy just do figure 8s in the tank instead of bumping his face and having to turn around. But I totally get that would be a huge undertaking.

@@jermalatkins8734 800 gallons doesn't mean a whole lot. Half of it is taken up by rock and these guys swim A LOT in the wild, I personally don't believe any home aquarium can truly house one of these.
I'd feel horrible waking up to seeing this monster oversized fish cramped in such a small area.

J’aime bcp leur vidéo; par contre je pensais que le Naso irait dans un 5000L au vu de sa taille. Je suis un peu resté étonné pour le coup
@@Eauturquoise31tu sais peux de gens on 5000 litres et la moyenne est plutôt au alentours des 800 à 2000 litres .
Guy Davriu oui donc il vaut mieux éviter d’introduire des gros poissons dans ce si petit bac. J’en ai un de naso elegans, je l’ai introduit juvénile dans mon bac. C’est plus cohérent que de le prendre adulte

Thats a killer lipstick tang🔥(my no.2 fav fish)...but without sounding like a tang policeman I wouldve opted for a more modest sized one for a better scale ratio

lol wrong.. totally fine sized tank for a naso tang that size, a 680 liter tank would be fine for one
@@acrogarden642 680 would be easily fine for small to medium naso but not that sized one. Even in that 3000 it looks like it got nearly any space to swim.

I had a Naso Tang (lipstick Tang) get too big for my 180gal 6x2x2, sad day getting rid of her. Yours is a beautiful one though for sure. Most people don't want the females but I loved mine.

A very beautiful fish, but the tank is too small. I think the only way he will be happy is in a bigger tank or in the ocean

Idk alot about marine fish yet, but is that little fish (maybe called a wrasse?) that starts following him around at 12:35 a fish that cleans other fish? Or just annoying the big guy? 😏

What do you prefere....barebottom or sand?
I prefer sand, but it is important to keep it free from detritus, so barebottom is less work. Cam
That tanks volume is all depth. That is one big fish and it can hardly turn around with that aquascape. He was better off in the tub.
The tank is double the volume of the tub. After seeing him recently in the tank i can happily report he is doing great! Cam

After seeing this tank featured in a couple recent videos I’d like to ask - what is hanging in the middle of the tank? I hope this isn’t a stupid question.
Not a dumb question at all. It’s a small piece of PVC pipe filled with epoxy used to feed nori to the tangs. One day I’ll show it in better detail. Cam

“Gentle Giant” didn’t sound as good😂
You shouldn’t use nets if you can help it. Causes too much stress and damage to the fish. Use clear plastic collection cups made for the aquarium industry. Sooooooo much easier to catch fish with considerably less stress and it’s way more functional. They never leave the water.
I totally disagree. Nets used properly are the least stressful option. Cam

Gorgeous fish, gorgeous tank. But personally I feel it can't house the tang.
Sure 800 gallons is a lot but half of it is taken up by rocks and the other half is just vertical swimming space. Not a whole lot of room to breath. These guys are travelers in the wild.
