That tank really needs a huge swim through on the overflow side of that rock work to let that guy just do figure 8s in the tank instead of bumping his face and having to turn around. But I totally get that would be a huge undertaking.
@@jermalatkins8734 800 gallons doesn't mean a whole lot. Half of it is taken up by rock and these guys swim A LOT in the wild, I personally don't believe any home aquarium can truly house one of these. I'd feel horrible waking up to seeing this monster oversized fish cramped in such a small area.

I had a Naso Tang (lipstick Tang) get too big for my 180gal 6x2x2, sad day getting rid of her. Yours is a beautiful one though for sure. Most people don't want the females but I loved mine.

Not a dumb question at all. It’s a small piece of PVC pipe filled with epoxy used to feed nori to the tangs. One day I’ll show it in better detail. Cam
Idk alot about marine fish yet, but is that little fish (maybe called a wrasse?) that starts following him around at 12:35 a fish that cleans other fish? Or just annoying the big guy? 😏
You shouldn’t use nets if you can help it. Causes too much stress and damage to the fish. Use clear plastic collection cups made for the aquarium industry. Sooooooo much easier to catch fish with considerably less stress and it’s way more functional. They never leave the water.
A few people have said that, I think it just looks like that on the video, because when you see him in person you can see he’s totally loving his new home😊 Cam

That tanks volume is all depth. That is one big fish and it can hardly turn around with that aquascape. He was better off in the tub.
