    I use “Snare” to start and then I use “Audio” because snare has a lot of the most used letters, and audio has all of the other vowels, and audio only repeats the “A”

    I use " adieu " and then " story "
    as I think they are the most efficient, especially paired together.
    ♡ Edit: for Wordle 266, I got 4 yellows and 1 green immediately because of them.

    I tried an alternative strategy this time: forget morning coffee and solve the puzzle as soon as it becomes available at midnight.
    (spoiler)
    The strategy worked well (probably by dumb luck) and I scored a par 4.
    1. SOARE - According to a computer analysis I saw on RUclips, "soare" is marginally better than my usual "arose". (But I still don't know what "soare" means.) One green.
    2. THING - Eliminating more letters. (Recently, I started using "thing" instead of "fling" to avoid repeating the L later.) Another green.
    3. PLUCK - Eliminated all proper vowels except "i" and got a golden L. (Note to self: try CLUMP tomorrow; the M could be more valuable than the K.) Time to start guessing.
    4. SWILL - Bingo. The first word that came to mind, and I couldn't think of any other possibilities.
    Postgame - That was the only word possible.

    I made a wordle solver, and after letting it run for an hour, it found that the best word to start with is "TARES" (#2 is "CARES"). Other than that, with my program, it basically auto-plays the game for you, making the best choices for you and respecting every wordle special rules.
    Note: for my program, a word that is the "best" is a word that lowers the number of possible words on the next guess the most (on average). It doesn't think further than that :/

    • @drakou1117
      @drakou1117 2 года назад

      I also made another program, doing the same but with multiple starting words instead of only the first word (sacrifising some accuracy for it), but the best starting 2 words i got was "CURES, BIOTA", and the best 3 starting word after 5 days of computation, which I call the "ABC strat" is: "ALUMS, BIDET, CRONY".

    Did you watch the 3b1b video??? The entire point was that while 'salet' or 'crane' are best in certain ways from an information theory perspective, they aren't necessarily for a human. Grant spends multiple minutes condemning people using his video to direct their play... this is embarrassing.
