    Test Fishing A NEW CARP LAKE - These Fish Have Never Seen A Bait!
    For this latest episode we were invited by our friend Lee Carver to carp fish Birch Pool, on his very own East Bilney Lake complex. Lee acquired the declining fishery a couple of years back, with the sole aim of transforming it back to it's former glory - a complex of thriving match and carp lakes. The amount of work required was nothing short of epic, but Lee and his team succeeded and East Bilney Lakes is now back open to the public.
    We were invited to 'test fish' his carp water Birch Pool, which is stocked with a range of stunning carp to over 30lb. With uncaught fish and with no anglers previously casting a line into the water, we weren't too sure what to expect, but there was only one way to find out!
    To find out a exactly how we got on and if we managed a few carp, then watch the latest episode from the waters edge…
    As usual we hope you enjoy it and any feedback is always much appreciated.

      @@freemanbynature Don't know where the £3 comes from, but it's just as bad here in Devon where we are at the end of a very long Supply Chain. The Carp anglers are well and truly fleeced, which I why I only fish for Silvers and occasional Carp off the top with Bread!👍

      @@hunter111uk £3 came from eastbilneylakes co uk Also No surface fishing at all and... Bread is only to be used from November to April on the hook only. It's not like you or I would end up there anyway, I am old fashioned like yourself.

    That carp saying does not make sense. Plus, EBL website rules state no night fishing or loose groundbait. You did both haha 👍🏻

    • @FromTheWatersEdgeTV
      @FromTheWatersEdgeTV  2 года назад +1

      What saying is that mate? Also I think you’re reading the rules for the wrong lake - we fished Birch Pool which is based around night fishing. We didn’t use groundbait either (even though it’s allowed) we used pellet. 👍🏼

    @everythingcarpy 2 года назад +2

    I don't get a fish have never been caught before but you then caught it so it's been caught that saying doesn't make sence at all and never seen a bait but rared on pellet how would they get that big your telling me they are like 4 to 5 summers old and never been fed before🤦‍♂️🤷‍♂️

    • @everythingcarpy
      @everythingcarpy 2 года назад +1

      @Tariq Khan of course it bait as he was feeding it and they have been caught how can you say a carp have never seen a hook when it's on the bank caught by one lol and boilies caught them fish so they have seen bait
      It's like when people say it's never been caught as they have a curtain on top lip but hooked on bottom lip 🤦‍♂️ there was some new stockies that got put in my syndicate and I caught one 1st 3 or 4 captures later still had the curtain 🤦‍♂️🤷‍♂️

       @Everything Carpy A great comment... The way I see it, some people learn by educating themselves through experience, others imitate and parrot celebrities and follow the path of indoctrination... It IS such an easy trap to fall into especially in the UK

      @@everythingcarpy Another great comment... The way I see it, Never been caught means they dragged themselves there AFTER the Excavators went in and 'restored' the lake.. I remember the old folks that used to sey... EEEEE I remember when them 15 ~ 30 lb carp used to drag themselves across the mooers and't motorways the very minute they sniffed a fishery being opened up for those wi mooore brass than brains. < Direct quote from 1874!

      They’ve never been caught, they were stocked in the lake and we were the first to fish it - so they had never been caught, until we caught them? Yeah, if we’re being picky, we should probably say ‘never seen a hookdbait’ as opposed to bait.

      @@FromTheWatersEdgeTV Hi, I really appreciate the work that goes into making videos, I have done it myself. I DO like to have a laugh when some people put miserable comments on, but I see both sides of the argument and try to point out the extreme 'pickiness' (as you call it) by going extreme in the opposite direction. Some people just do not get it, some people do.
      Some brilliant fishing channels on youtube talk ALL the way through, some have long periods of silence or music. Those that talk the most are really serious and are trying to say what they mean and mean what they say. I just want to watch a float most of the time until it indicates a bite (and then strike.) Not one Single fishing video caters for my taste but I still watch and enjoy them!
      It only takes a few seconds, a MINUTE at most to explain exactly what the circumstances are but not everyone thinks in 'saying what they mean and meaning what they say' and therefore, they don't think about what you are trying to say, they think about what THEY THINK you are trying to say. EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION Solves ALL problems.
      I am an Author, and words mean much to me, silence also does. I ignore the bad use of language and colloquial sayings in videos, I am deaf. Silly written comments (not silly to the author though) make me laugh and I join in. I felt you (waters Edge) deserved a real comment showing appreciation and fairness, and this is my attempt. Thank You for your time and effort, I hope youtube appreciates it as much as I do and you get the benefit.
