3 Waterways Fishing Challenge - Lake, River & Sea Fishing
For this latest episode we're out taking on another challenge, this time it’s something we’ve called the 3 waterways fishing challenge!
We wanted to catch a fish from a lake, river and the sea all in the same day, well from 7.00am in the morning to 10pm at night.
However to pass each waterway and to make the challenge a little more difficult we added some size limits! SO… we went with a 5lb fish from a lake, a 3lb fish from a river and then a 1lb fish from the sea.
The final stipulation was that each venue we fished had to be within an hour of home.
So we packed the car with a variety of fishing tackle, fired up the satnav and headed out on our way for a mammoth day of fishing and filming!

Nice one Steve and Chris.
I've caught at Lenwade in those conditions feeding quite heavy with maggots. The chub (that haven't been eaten) are under the trees, they just need some "encouragement" to come out.
A video bass fishing on lures would be good. I had one of 6lb earlier in the summer at Thornham. I gather they are being caught in all the estuaries - Brancaster, Wells, Burnham etc. but quite specialised fishing, waders, a long walk and don't get cut-off by the tide. Its getting a bit late in the year for that video though.
Don't forget my request for winter roach fishing on punch on the wensum!

Great video. My dad had a 1 and a half pound roach on that spot at bridge inn and another one at about a pound.

Nice challenge, had a feeling Steve might fall short at this one just based on how much harder fishing rivers and the sea is compared to a commercial lake! but maybe next time? its not like he didnt blank on the river fishing front, he still caught but just not the 3lb fish required. As for the sea well, that one fish that you might catch has to be over a pound or thats it i think...really tough challenge. Nice one anyway, keep them coming and tight lines.

Im fishing blickling lake for pike sataday the 20th if you want to join
River probably the hardest of those three. Any over half a pound can be tricky on the river. Sometimes you'll have a great day and other times very tricky.
thejudge 1897 the river and the sea were always going to be tougher! I think we might have a better chance of completing it in the cooler months.

Unfortunately the sea fishing gets harder every year and the governments do nothing to deal with the real problems.
Certainly over the past two years the winter fishing has been very tough!
