Ok let me try .. when prodrug is taken orally then follows the first pass metabolism in the liver and the inactive drug or prodrug is metabolized with the help of enzyme and then converted into active form .. now this active drug enters the systemic circulation and is distributed to target cells or organs .. now metabolism had already taken place so directly follow s excretion ... ?
