- Caught on camera, a person appears to be flying in a jetpack at 3,000 feet past a private plane. The close encounter happened just 7 miles from Los Angeles International Airport.
I can’t think of a better way to social distance.

Personally I think its a jet powered drone with a light mannequin welded to it as a joke. As someone mentioned, the FBI has more important things to deal with than somebody flying around in a jet pack. If the local police don’t care, the FBI CERTAINLY doesn’t. But, something that endangers airliners is pretty important to the FBI.

With all the recent issues regarding door plugs blowing out of aircraft, broken and cracked aircraft windows, and mentally ill passengers opening aircraft doors while in flight, I have to take a pause when I need to fly to a destination. Just what we need is some fool with a jetpack to get sucked into an airplane engine. I believe strongly, anything airborne above 100 feet should be required to file a flight plan. Personal hobby drone, man with a jetpack, any aircraft. No exceptions.

i live in rural massachusetts and saw a guy flying like that several hundred feet up. i asked around and no one else had seen it but i finally found a neighbor who did see it. it was like i know what i saw but it was hard to believe. we have a small airfield near us where they fly mostly ultralight aircraft and he must of came from there.

There's a guy who was making his own jet packs. But they threatened to arrest him since he wasn't part of a company or not part of military.
