The key moment for many beginners is at 35 seconds. Too many videos do not show this clearly. If the tensioner nut doesn't butt up against the housing slot this process will take a long time. It's simple, but, for those of us who are not mechanically inclined we do foolish things. Thanks for this. I watched a couple of other vids and they didn't even show the essentials... including holding up the bar nose as you tighten it.
Looking for a quick video to help me do this more efficiently. I've owned this saw for well over a decade. I'm totally unsure why anyone voted this video down... except that perhaps competitors who take five minutes to show the process and leave out important details that are shown here in far less time are perhaps jealous. Looks folks, if there's a better way to do this, mention it when you vote this down. I'd love to improve even more. Otherwise, please don't dislike what seems like a very clear and concise tutorial.
Nice video. A mod I'm going to make is to change the chain tensioner from pointing forward to pointing out the right side. Stihl should have made it that way from the start.
