- My Mustang GT has come a very long way with mods here and there but definitely my favorite mod so far are the Comp Cams! Stay tuned for more on the 3V build.

I love watching people's progress on builds its so fascinating for some reason.

Hey the JLT air filters can be clean and re oiled with the K&N air filter recharge
I’m aware I’ve cleaned and re oiled it a couple of times, then just wanted a new one after so many years.
Any upgrades to the ECU? Did you get it tuned? I know nothing about modern tuning and am very curious
I’m running a Lito tune, he’s definitely one of the best tuners for these cars.
I do think it’s sick how u have the gt badge but can’t see it until u get close

I have the 127550 on my supercharged 3v with the phasers locked out. They make great mid range and top end power, plus they sound mean as hell.lol

I like modded V6 cars, even the 4.0 with a supercharger.
Can we get a couple 2nd-3rd gear pulls or something man I'd like to see the acceleration difference up top. Or a couple "filmed in Mexico" racing videos
I’ll definitely have to get something like that together soon! This year has been really busy so I’ve been slacking on the uploads 😂
it's getting warm out , throw a GoPro on the car and you should be able to get a couple races just driving around. even a cell phone recording of a couple 2nd gear pulls and 3rd gear pulls would be dope
@@VQ37_Jacob im currently ordering all my stuff now, which set of beehive springs did you use? And did you use the phaser limiters comp cams sells or did you go with Lockouts? Thanks In advance!
@@2_Wheel_Waldo I’ll have to try to find the exact part number I just know they were Comp cams beehive valve springs, I did livernois phaser lockouts they are cheaper and easier to install than comps part

Hey man, I know I’m a little late but where did you find that deck lid panel from, ive been looking everywhere for one like that but can’t find it. Thanks!
No worries, so this is actually the oem decklid panel I just removed the chrome badge and bought an s550 GT badge with 3m tape and secured it over the small holes from the previous badge.

For some reason your camera won't pick up that deep rumble the lobe makes, but I can tell its loud GGs

What power did you gain?
I personally have not been on a dyno with the car but I know people who have switched to these cams on a very similar setup and have gained up to 45whp
Porting the FRIM is worth 9-12hp

How is the drivability after the cam install? What gears you currently have?
Drives fine I daily the car and don’t have issues, I’m currently running Ford Performance 4.10 gears.

You didn’t have to get cam phase limiters with the stage 2 cams did you?
I did. I went with the livernois lockout kit, costs less than the comp limiter kit and is easier to install.

How many miles when you did the cam swap? Just picked up an '05 with 161k.
About 55k on the dash when it was done, I’m now at 62k.

Sounds pretty good. I woulda thought it would have more chop though.
These cams are made for performance, they have a mild chop unlike the FRPP cams they have a lot of chop but little to no power gain whatsoever.
@@VQ37_Jacob how many hp and tq is this supposed to add?
@@majorchungus I’ve seen others with similar mods and the same cams make another 47hp and 22tq I haven’t personally been on a dyno myself.

What year is yours? What taillights do you have? Sounds nice - you put a lot of dough in it during these upgrades, but it sounds really nice. I’m just shocked by your mileage on the odometer…I’ve got an ‘08 that I got in late ‘09 with 1k miles, it now has 208K - all original - all stock - and I’m looking to do some work on it to improve performance and provide that awesome sound - and I love your headlights and taillights - please share a link for the taillights…thanks!

It was pre painted off of eBay. Just look for one that has good reviews and make sure to message the seller your paint code. Way cheaper than buying one off of AM

I was hesitant to go with these without porting the heads first.

The stock heads will flow enough for 750 to 800hp

Great! I love the fact I can shift at 7,000rpm now and I haven’t had the chance to dyno it personally but other people have gained 40+whp from these cams
I know maybe you don't have the mustang but how much did you spend with the cams

This is my favorite body style of mustang and I found one on Facebook marketplace that was a V-6 and manual for really cheap but the dude won’t answer me of course
The S197 is definitely the best class
get the GT it is very reliable and the MPG difference is only 2mpg. I used to own that V6 and it was a great car, despite all the hate it gets online but it isn't exactly quick. It's decent tho'
