- This video shows what any 3V Mustang GT sounds like with Stage 3 Comp Cams, they sound like some pretty big cams to me! This is a cold start and a full warm up. I really like how these cams sound!

If that were my car, I wouldn't have put that on it, but everyone has their own opinion on what looks good and what they like, I don't talk down about anyone's build.

Headers and an x pipe are the key to a rowdy sounding 4.6. Love it dude I need to get some bbk’s for my 2v.

Import a boss 260 or 290.
With basic mods, they make more power.

Did you need to change around any timing components, springs, or valve adjusters??
Lockout or limit cam phasers, springs, and lifters/rocker arms if you’re going upwards of 550-600hp

My cammed 3V sounded like that, that exact idle cam chop like it was stuck on a loop, I mean I loved it lol it started sounding like that after I got the long tubes installed, then after I had my battery replaced my chop was back to normal where the chop would changed, and not sound exactly like at 2:55.. It was more like a cammed drag race car more than a normal street cammed car.

Ok want input... I'm looking at stage two or three cams.. springs etc. On an 03 4.6 looking also at headers.. the way the headers go 4 into one at the collectors..what if I cut the collectors and took each cylinder to a fender exit...so each cylinder has its own exhaust?....
Really that's all up to you, I think that'd be neat, and different! I like being different.

We didn't put the cams in this car, I'm not sure on that.

I'm not sure on that, in my opinion I wouldn't think you'd have to though.
Yeah, you do. Will float a valve on stock springs pretty quick. Also have to put in cam phaser limiters or completely lock them out with stage 3 cams. All performance dealers will also “strongly” suggest you have the heads ported as well. Probably not a must, but likely wasting a lot of the performance without the flow to handle it. Kinda of a waste to go to the trouble if you don’t do it right. Not doing the springs at least will bite you in the ass probably sooner than later unless someone does it strictly for sound and never revs it over 6,000 or so.

Yeah, you don't necessarily look up the vehicle, just look up the engine when you search for those cams.

Roberto Munoz Shelby wasn’t just GT500 it was also an appearance package available for the 05-09 GTs I think it had a different intake as well

It has a manual transmission.
Your losing back pressure without your mufflers, causing a loss of hp. At least that's what I've always been told.
Back pressure is bad, no amount of back pressure is good for a car performance wise. But exhaust scavenging on the other hand is very important, no exhaust scavenging reduces power and can burn exhust valves
Back-pressure only use to matter back when stuff had carburetors, now it's not necessary. But, this car still has cats, so if back pressure did matter, this car does still have it.
Thats a myth
Although a huge straight through exhaust isn't great either
The velocity of air being exhausted is what matters
