I miss those days with my grandpa used to take me out in his 1970 challenger with the blower supercharger and we used to go out to the desert and one time he let me slam a couple of gears in it. Those were some of the best times in my life.

Yeah because it's getting taken over by (insert derogatory term for an unintelligent person or persons), who have been brain washed into thinking that V6s and inline 3 cylinders make ideal performance engines. GTFO with that crap. LOL One's parents are siblings if they think V6 belong in sports cars. Lookin at you, Nissan and Ford GT.
never in sound never in a million years, I feel like if the only thing you want to do is go fast, electric will get you there but it loses all the passion and excitement. sound plays a huge roll in our lives, and hearing a screaming electric motor just doesn't move my needle much
The R codes were the best. .... l use to be able to time all of the old Fords by ear , not today I'm 73 I've never told anyone my secret. Today it's all done on a damn computer
Too loud of an exhaust can get to be Slightly annoying 🤏..I can and will say that much🤔🤷♂️🤨HMM..!!?? EVEN THOUGH I'VE NEVER GOTTEN TO THE POINT THAT I'M GETTING TIRED OF HEARING THE GLORIOUS EXHAUST NOTE(S) OF A MASSIVE POWER ADDED BIG BLOCK V8🤔🤷♂️🤨😁HMM..!!??
I think the hardest part about heel toe downshifting would be not letting up on the brakes. Also, the way that Mustangs whole body would settle between gears and stand all the way up under throttle was pretty dope lol
I'll never forget the sound of the great David Pearson's #21 Mercury Boss 429. I rode up to MI speedway with a good friend & watched David win the race in 1977. The Boss had a sound all it's own!❤
My grandfather had a 1983 De Tomaso Pantera GT5 which originally came from the factory with a 351 Cleveland, but he had it swapped out for a fire-breathing fuel-injected 429 Cobra Jet. The thing spat fire on startup and shook the entire neighborhood to the foundations when he pulled it out of the garage. I remember many weekends of the two of us ripping through the canyon backroads of Central California, that car screaming like 10,000 banshees from the pits of hell. He ended up blowing out a CV axle and then the car sat... and sat... and sat for about 10 years. Thankfully, he's still with us, but unfortunately, his car was damaged pretty badly when a tree fell on his garage and collapsed the building with the car inside it. He had told everybody in the family that it had been scrapped, some of us were quite happy about that and others including myself were devastated. Little did we know, however, that he was still hiding it, and I discovered it one day in the back of his storage locker helping him and Grandma move into a new house. I promised to keep it a secret from the rest of the family, and the two of us spent the next 2 years restoring and fixing the car. My fiancé accidentally discovered the project and we made her promise to keep it a secret as well. 2 years after rediscovering the car, it was completely restored. Me and Wifey have our own house, which is where we keep it, in a discrete little shed in the backyard ,with no looming trees nearby. It's still a secret because both me and Grandpa knew for a fact that certain people in the family who hated that car wouldn't hesitate to try and have it towed away and scrapped. Occasionally, he comes down to the house, and we go out for an evening rip in the Pantera. Sometimes Wifey takes it out as well. It puts an ear to ear smile on her face every time.
4:09 The BEST part of this video is seeing Craigs '71 F100 pickup hauling ass in Southern California one more time...the very same motor he built in his driveway a little over a year ago and then blew up in that very clip. @Thecraig909
For 306hp nothing can touch the sound of the 65 gt-350R. That 289 hi-po sounds like a million bucks. Big block 427s sound delicious but not like the high reving hi-po's i owned a 65 comet that had one in it with avtop loader. Damn do I miss that car. The sound would raise the air on your arms and chills up your spine.

Almost every single car blows out the mics Love it
Can't even hear anything at that point so what's the point of the video? 😂😂
1:25 : shout out to the person who owns this Mustang Lemon Edition
Best part of the video is the sound, very close second is the fact that almost all cars were manual transmission.
I agree
Almost every car was a manual apart from the Falcon at the start and the Hennessy Mustang
Wise words you have written.
Third best thing: There were NASCAR Stock Cars here.
Fourth best thing: Some cars here at least sounded like one/had a NASCAR engine.
It doesnt really matter to anyone other than the driver whether the car is an auto or stick though.

@BauregardSenior87 haven't seen the Southeast Gassers Association then
Having a V8 in South America is becoming increasingly impossible. Thank God you were born in North America, where dreams can come true.
If Trump loses, those dreams die.

v8 nascar sound really heal my soul in depth
Nascar, totally brutal !
how the fu... can electric cars ever replace this, hell no, this is the real deal, V8 forever!

They won’t.
Hell yea electric NASCAR!
Maybe if they make electric cars sound like Podracers they might be entertaining for a moment ... until a cammed V8 fires up and screams by.
We'll be back to smuggling booze but with 95 ron and LS small blocks instead of moonshine.
That 3rd one, that ‘76 Olympia Charger has one of my favorite v8 sounds ever.
Yes really like charger
No click bait no sh1t music very good video thank you.👍
Man the screaming 289 has a sound of its own
There's nothing that compares to the sound of any of the small block Fords but those 289 48cc chambered heads ah magnifique!

The Patina'd red Mustang takes me back to the Bullitt days😊
I could listen to that GT40 all day long.
😄 Yes! They all are good music, but the White GT350 Mustang # 74 really got my heart beating. Thank you.

A old stock mustang with straight pipes 300hp and a sloppy automatic sounds like crap to me.
F im, fire it up, be LOUD AND PROUD, My brother!!!
Classic American old-school Heavy-Metal there is nothing finer, unless you are listening to WWII airplane engines. Signed-Richard
These are all great, but that '68 F100 pickup flying around the turn and cranking 7,000 rpm on the flyby was badass!
If you look up Black Widow exhaust you find the truck.
owners name is Craig, on youtube Craig909, it's an insane f100

The Trumpets of Jericho !!! fantastic sound.
These all sound so good! The driver @4:49 in the Pontiac Custom S Lemans was handling it & staying in it!
that my man Marcus Andersson, car is a monster
love a good LS
There's nothing like the sound of a V8
That white '73 Charger is heavenly
Dang that Falcon had some fun

V8s are really sound therapeutic in nature yes!!❤😂 Soul Sound!
The Mustang at 1:35 (is it the same at 2:40?) sounds incredible! WOW! I can listen to it all night long!

There is something about American V8s that is just pure music to the soul that I can not describe. It's sheer power on command.
God damn the chop on that chevelle at the end 🥲
Nothing sounds better than a really lumpy idle, then WFO.
I badly needed this, thank you
0:52 good lord... that thing is beautiful. Runs like a charm.

Sounds that play when my mom is late to work
Sounds of power 💪
I needed this
I have a 71 c10 with a 468 cid. Had the for 30 years. My 18 year old kid asked if all v8s where this loud in the 70s? Lol
I love how most of these videos sounds like someone blowing into a crappy microphone when the engines hit the redlines
4:08 : dann ! that old ford sounds mean !
